She snickers, pointing at him, "I CAN climb trees, don't think I won't go up there and force you kisses, cuz' I totally will."

"Cora and Nicky sitting in a tree-ee, k-i-s-s-i-n-g," Anthony taunted, wanting to join in on the fun. Nick promptly flipped him off before looking down at Cora, a black eyebrow raised slightly. "But can you treejump? Otherwise it will be very difficult for you to keep up."

She shrugs, putting her hands on her hips, "I can learn, always been a quick learner." She nods, "And if I fall I'll chase you on foot until you get tired and fall yourself." She grins at him.

"Fall? HA. I never fall," Nick told her matter-of-factly, still swinging those long legs of his from the tree. "Now leave me alone so I can recover from being violated so violently."

Cora laughs a bit more, "Oh don't make such a big deal out of it." She starts heading for the tree.

"Oh c'mon, it is a big deal," he replied, standing up on his branch. "First time I've ever been climbed on by a girl and I hope that it's the last time too."
"I'm just gonna stay here and guard the Humvee," Anthony announced, sitting on the hood. "You girls have fun."

Coraline gives a curious look, putting her hands on her hips, "Oh really? Huh, never woulda' assumed." She's not being sarcastic, she really simply assumed he'd at least had SOMEONE do that at least once before.

"Nope. Only ever been kissed once and that was a sane kiss, not this insane glomping crap you just did." He arched his back, watching Coraline cautiously in case she tried to attack him again.

She snickers, "Oh come on, I am actually an ok kisser when I'm not teasin'!" she leans against the tree, tapping a finger at it.

"Oh, there's actually a time when you're not teasing?! Wow! I can't believe it," Nick gasped, his thick Brooklyn accent practically dripping sarcasm. "What, is it once every full moon? Or perhaps every leap year?"

She rolls her eyes, "Don't get snotty with me katana boy, I'll jump after you and huggle you!" She nods, dropping her sword and backpack, going to begin climbing the tree.

"I wasn't getting snotty, I was getting sarcastic. There's a difference," Nick pointed out as he walked along his branch and swung himself into another tree.

Coraline snickered, "You know what I meant." She goes to sit on the branch he was on, sticking her tongue out at him, "You're such a weeeeeenie." She shakes her head, leaning back against the trunk of the tree, "So who was she, hm? Or ya know, he if you swing that way." She shrugs.

Nick's expression darkened ever so slightly.
"Lily Vasquez was her name," he finally managed to get out, lost in thought.

She nods, "Pretty name." She focuses on his expression for a moment before nodding, although this time it's obvious she feels guilty as she does so, "Sorry... Sorry."

"Pretty name for a pretty girl." He glanced up at Coraline when she apologized, letting out a deep sigh as he leaned against his tree trunk. "Vibrant red hair, I remember- shone as bright as a fire in the sunlight. But she always had that black streak off to one side... And her eyes... Never seen such beautiful eyes."
He looked genuinely depressed now as he thought, his dark green gaze glinting in an almost catlike way in the moonlight.

Cora blinked at him, then looked down at the trunk she was sitting on, "I'd hug you and apologize for asking, but uh..." She rubs at the back of her neck, "Guess I'll just... settle for the latter." She shakes her head, "I get curious about peoples' personal lives, s-sorry 'bout that..."

A ghost of a smile flitted across his face. "Yeah, I've had enough of hugs. You're fine. I loved Lily, though. Loved her with all my heart. But she was an EMT too, and not quite as lucky as I was. Got bit. Died not too long before everything fully went to hell. I'm not sure whether to be glad she missed the worst of it or be sad that she's not here with me right now. Maybe a little of both, you know..."

Cora frowns, drooping a bit, "O-Oh..." she rubs at the back of her neck, "Can't... can't imagine that honestly... what that'd be like..." she shakes her head a bit, "Um... i-ignore me..." She goes to drop down from the tree and get her things, going towards the humvee in a droopy manner.

Nick watched her go, then sighed and closed his eyes, dangling a leg off the branch again like a black panther. And then, hardly audible, he started to hum...

Anthony was back at the Humvee, on his back on the roof and staring up at the night sky, the stars reflecting in his large blue eyes.
