Cora shakes her head, "Heh, you think we would... no... nah, we just kinda find each other randomly..."
"Hmm. I can't help you find them, then." He shrugged, taking a turn onto the highway. "Anyways, thanks for the help."
Coraline shrugs slightly, "Just means wherever you drop me off at I get to run around trying to find them... that should be fun." She snickers and looks over to him, "And it's not a problem... gotta help people right now, ya know? How can't ya." She nods and looks over to the window.
"Yeah, but seriously. I know there are some people out there who'da shot me just for the yuks."
Cora snickers, "Sounds like my sister..." She shrugs slightly, "Though she's more likely to do something inappropriate and THEN shoot you once it's all said and done." She snickers a bit more.
"Geez. Still, you get them everywhere- wouldn't be normal if there weren't a few."
She shrugs, "Meh I suppose not... easiest way to get supplies..." She looks over at him, "So where you headin' in the long run Anthony?"
"I personally think the easiest way to get supplies is to go about it honestly, but maybe I'm just naive." Anthony shrugged, looking down the road. "I don't really know. I'm sorta wanderin' right now, lookin' to see if there are any survivor camps in cities or somethin'- there's gotta be one somewhere. But I dunno. I'm starting to think I'm chasin' a pipedream."
Coraline shrugs a bit, "Well I know that one city I got in was crawling with those deaders, so I don't think cities are the best place to have a camp in... unless it's like, at the top of a skyscraper or somethin'." She lets out a 'meh' noise, "But I know my sister's big plan is to go up north... She says that the virus is spread thin there, since it's so cold..."
"Depends. Up in Canada, Alaska, yeah there's not a lot of walkers, but places like New York? Don't even try. Suicide traps, just cuz everyone was packed in there like sardines in a can. NY got hit hard..." He sighed sadly, having witnessed it all first-hand.
Coraline blinks and nods, then thinks for a moment before looking over at him, "What was the sigh for?" she asks with a frown.
"I lived in New York. I saw everything that happened- everything from when the virus first broke out to when the dead were taking over. Everything. I barely escaped myself."
"O-Oh..." She wiggles, "I... uh... I'm sorry about that..." She goes to rub at the back of her neck, "Sorry I asked..."
"No, that's okay. I need to talk about it sometimes so it doesn't just boil inside me all the time and kills me from within."
Coraline fidgits, "Well if you want to now you can... don't have to but... I'm a good listener..." She pauses, "I think..."
He smiled slightly at her last words, although it faded away as he began.
"First it was my parents. I'm lucky in that they caught the virus instead of being eaten, and they died a few days in. Had to put them down. Had to put a lot of people down, really, it was the military's job to destroy them. But they got to be too much for us... We were at a FEMA center trying to evacuate families when the first horde hit. It was way too much for us, we got swarmed. There were only so many things we could do... I only got away cuz they were busy eating my squad and everyone else. I don't think very many other people got out of there alive." He shrugged. "I still see it every now and then. It's one of those things I can't ever forget so I just kinda have to try to live around it, you know?"

Coraline frowns, looks down at her lap, then forward, "Sorry... about your family and squad..." She shakes her head, looking down at her hands to fiddle with her thumbs, feeling like she should say more, but not really sure what to say honestly. She looks over to his dogtags, "Why do you still wear those?"
He looked down at the two thin pieces of metal he wore around his neck that contained his name, rank, and squad.
"It's the only thing left of my previous life, really. They're the only thing I can really hold on to now... They remind me that things were better once, that the previous world really did exist and wasn't just a dream."

Cora blinks at them and makes a 'hm' noise, then looks forward. She shrugs, "I don't... really have a squad to go back to... I kinda... lied about that..." She rubs at the back of her neck, "I ran off from them, didn't wanna be with 'em any more..." She shrugs, "Just... so you don't think I'm lying about anything." She nods at him.
"Oh... Okay, then. They musta been bad if you had wanted to ditch 'em." He shrugged. "But it's none of my business."
