Cora paused before nodding slightly, then looked up at him, crossing her arms, "I know you said you were fine... but I uh... I still kinda wanna ask why you cared so much about knowing whether I liked Rem or not.."

He shrugged his broad shoulders, gazing vacantly into the distance. "I wanna make sure you're happy, Cora. If you're not happy with him, if he abuses you or is just a deusche or something, I wanna know so I can go fix his ass." He looked down at her, his large blue eyes somewhat puppyish as he did so. "I like you, Cora, and I wanna keep you safe. That's all."

She 'hmm'd for a moment or so before nodding and smiling at him, "Well, if I can't kick his ass myself when something bad happens, I'll make sure to come to you." She snickers and goes to hug around his torso.

He smiled gently at her, rubbing her shoulders with a large arm. "Thanks. Even if you can kick his ass, tell me anyways and I'll go kick it again."
"What's this about kickin' asses?" Nick asked, looking up from the fire.
"I'll bring Nick along too. He's a feisty little bugger and can put up a fair fight, even if he is built like a twig," Anthony commented, looking over at the swordsman.
Nick frowned slightly, then rolled his eyes and turned the stick the fish were roasting on.

Coraline snickers, "Just means he's probably faster." She nods slightly, nuzzling innto ANt, "And... sorry for causin' you so much trouble and stress and everything Ant..." She pouts a bit.

"Like lightning," Nick commented with a puff of his scrawny chest. "Never see me comin'."
"Ah, Cora, when am I not in trouble or stressed? It's the zombie apocalypse. I'm fine, really," Anthony assured her with a shrug and a grin. "Honestly."

She shakes her head, "You know what I mean Ant, you know what I mean..." She huffs and relaxes a bit, squinting down the road.

"I know." He ruffled her hair with a great bear paw of a hand, looking down the road as well. "I know. In any case, I'm fine."

She giggles slightly at his ruffling, moving to pull her little tie from her hair and redo it, "Well if you ever aren't please do tell me what I can do to help. I don't ever want you not fine."

"I will. Hey, Nick-"
"The fish ain't done yet unless you want worms, if that's what you're asking!"
"Umm... Never mind."
Nick snorted, leaning back against a tree as he turned the fish again.

Coraline snickered, patting at Ant's tummy, "Gettin' hungry I take it?"

"Kinda. But I can wait."
"Once I saw this dude with a tapeworm so long it was hangin'-"
"NICK!"
"And he got it from an undercooked fish. Took forever to get that mother out."
"NICK- SHUDDUP!"
"Just sayin'."

Coraline blinks and looks back at Nick, "It was hangin' what?" She gets a curious grin.

"Anthony's squeamish apparently, and keeps yellin' at me to keep my trap shut, and I have a feelin' he could easily twist me into a pretzel, so I'm gonna let your imagination do the dirty work for me." He gave her a sly wink, grinning over at Anthony.
"I'm not squeamish," he protested sheepishly. "That's just gross, is all."
"Strange but true."

Cora gives a sad, "Awww, come on, pleeeeeease!" She gives him a pouty face with big ol' puppy eyes. "Pleeeeeeeeeeeeease."

"C'mon. Tapeworms are huge. They also live in the digestive tract. Put two and two together and whaddya get?"
Anthony sighed, rubbing his face in annoyance as he walked away, not sure whether to laugh or be incredibly irked.

Cora watched Anthony for a bit before looking back over to Nick, thinking for a moment before going, "OOOOOOH!... ew..." SHe laughs.

"See?" Nick told her with a grin. "So I just killed Tony's appetite and bought a little extra time for these things to cook. Just hope he eats it after that."

She snickers, "I can force him to if not, I've dealt with stubborn boys who don't wanna eat before... least I think I should be able to..."

"I hope so. I'll try not give him food poisoning. Whaddya think, Tony?"
All they got was an odd gutteral sound from the man.
