She shakes her head, "No, just... I was being a burden." She nods, "And they were gonna split up if I stayed, and I didn't wanna cause that problem so I left." She shrugs, "And it is your business if you want it to be." She snickers, "I don't mind."
"Oh- wh..." He trailed off as he coasted the Humvee to a stop. "Now that's lovely."
There were several barricades there on the bridge they were about to cross to prevent people from coming in and going out.
"That's gonna be a pleasure to move."

Coraline blinks, "Never seen anything like that before... I doubt the deaders are smart enough to do that...?"
"Nope. This was people. Probably a town up ahead and they tried to block themselves off... Whether it worked or not, who knows, but we need to get across. Vehicle's sturdy but not enough to get across the river without sinking like the Titanic." He shifted the Humvee into idle and looked around cautiously.
Cora blinks and opens her mouth to ask what the Titanic is, but slowly closes it, nodding like she knew what that meant. For a moment she blinks out her window before getting out and closing the door behind her, going to look the barricade over curiously.
He walked over to it, nudging it with his boot. "Concrete. Yeah, this is gonna be a lot of fun..." He sat on it, thinking about how they were gonna move it. Couldn't exactly blow it up, even though he wanted to (there was a grenade or two up his sleeve) but there was the bridge itself to think about. They also simply couldn't ram it, or they'd destroy the car.
They'd just have to move it somehow. Maybe drag it? He went back to the Humvee, looking at the cord wound around the front bumper.

Cora keeps bumping at it with her foot, then looks back at him, "What're you doing?" She blinks down at the barricade and grabs at it, trying to pull at it, but after a few moments she gives up, frowning sadly, "Awww..."
"I'm thinking about how we're gonna move that thing." He unwound the cord and walked back to the barricade, wondering where exactly he was going to tie it on. "Hmm. If I can tie this here, then I can probably tug it back with the Humvee... I've done it once before with a tree trunk."
The girl blinks and looks down at it, "You could try lifting one end just a bit and I'll wrap it around for ya?" She smiles at him innocently, nodding rapidly.
He paused a moment, looking down at the block that looked like it weighed a ton- probably not, but it looked like it.
"Sure," he finally said, handing her the cord and carefully picking one side up a bit. It took a lot of effort and he hardly dared to breathe for fear he'd drop it and it'd crush someone's foot.
"Hurry," he wheezed, wrestling with it to get a better handhold. This was the first and only time in his life he thanked his commanding officer for those twenty rounds of fifty push-ups after blowing a car up with a bazooka by accident.

Cora blinks at him for a moment with a 'wow' before shaking her head rapidly and going to secure the cord around the block tightly, then pulling back, "Alright, you're good..." She blinks at him with curious eyes, saying after, "And uh... officially impressed by the way, that was pretty cool." She snickers and goes back for the humvee with a slight skip in her step.
"Watch your toes," he said before dropping the block. He staggered back, leaning on his knees and flexing his broad shoulders. "Geez... Thanks... There are a few perks to being a National Guard." He straightened himself out again and shook himself to loosen his muscles again, smiling slightly. Who said he had a girly handshake now?
He made sure the rope was fastened securely before going back to the Humvee, shifting it into reverse and carefully backing up, trying not to think about the fact that if the rope snapped the hook would probably shoot back and decapitate him.
Cheery thoughts, people, cheery thoughts.

Cora rolled her eyes at his statement and sat to wait, but when it moved enough for her to get through, she instantly hopped out, whether he stopped or not, going to wiggle her way through the opening and tip toe in with a curious snicker, pulling out her hand gun and keeping it at the ready, whispering out a, "Heeeeellooooooo?"
He dragged it farther back, finally stopping once the gap was large enough for the Humvee to get through. He walked back out to detach the thing from the rope, shrugging the rifle off his shoulders and into his arm. "Hey, Coraline, stay close, will ya? I wanna keep an eye on ya."
The girl looks back and shakes her head, "Sorry bud, got a bad case of curiosity..." She keeps going, ducking under some rubble every so often, but nothing the humvee could simple push past, until she finally stopped, looking into the bulk of the city with a, "Woooooah..."
"What?" he asked, stumbling over some rubble with his large feet and trying to catch up with her. "What is it?"
Cora stares around at the area, "Never actually been in a city this big before..." she mumbles, looking around, but after a moment she pulls up her gun and points it opposite of Anthony, shooting at a random zombie that happened to notice them, "Thought you said that thing was manmade?" She pauses and shrugs, "They must've missed some whoever they are..."
He jumped, startled, although he quickly calmed himself down again as he saw the zombie drop. His hand shook slightly, although he took a deep breath to steady it out.
"They probably got over the barricades. It would only have been a matter of time... C'mon, lets go back to the Humvee before we attract more with that gunshot."

She snickers and looks back at him, "Oh come on, don't wanna have any fun and hunt these frickers?"
"Not really. This is a big city so it equals more people and therefore more zombies. More zombies equals more death and personally, I'd prefer it if we didn't die. There's a time and place for hunting and now is not one of them. I'm almost out of ammo, too." He shrugged, raising an eyebrow at her and leaning on his rifle.
