Cora smirks a bit, "Well... not kid, she's around thirteen... I just mostly call her kid 'cause she's younger than me..." She blinks, "She's... she's with the rest of the group, which is her and two other guys." She shrugs, "But she likes one of those guys, so she should be okay..." She shakes her head for a moment, "But I promised I wouldn't leave her, and I broke that promise... so I have to get back to her at some point."

"Well hell, we can turn around now if you want. We're not too far away, I don't think."

She shakes her head, "Nah... Nah, I ran off to think, not... not QUITE ready to go back yet..." She smiles and leans down to nuzzle at him for a moment before sitting back up, "But thank you for the thought."

"You're welcome. But still, thirteen... Awfully young to be in such a world. Anyways, what's your group like?"

She thinks for a moment, "Well there's Remy who's pretty awesome... he's like a second big brother." She smiles, "And there's Petunia, who's the little girl, and then there's Arthur who's... made his mistakes, for the greater good, but despite those we've made promises to each other." She nods, "And then there's me... there used to be more but for... personal reasons I forced a split up." She blinks and stares forward and goes blank for a moments before flinching a bit and going back to kneading.

"At least you've had a group," he said with a shrug. "What's it like, having people around?"

She pauses for a moment, "A lot more hectic and dramatic than being alone... or even in a simple group of two... very dramatic... safe, but overall not worth it if I had to be honest..."

"Really? That's disappointing..." He sighed, opening his eyes again. "You think the world will ever go back to the way it was originally?"

She blinks at him and her gaze drifts off a bit and nods a bit, "Yeah... at some point, sure..." She doesn't believe that though.

"Eventually..." He sighed and sat up, flexing his shoulders again. "Thanks, Cora."

She went to wiggle back off of him, "Yeah... yeah no problem..." She blinks for a moment and went to nudge under his arm and hold around him again, "I'm sorry about all this ya know... this hell hole thing..."

"It's okay... You're good..."

She wiggles for a moment before letting him go and nodding, "Alright, you wanna keep goin' or... just stay here?" She blinks up at him.

"I'm fine with just staying here. I haven't stopped moving in a couple of days, and it's good to stop every now and then take a breather."

She smiles a bit and nods, going to cling to his arm and hug it tight, "I like that answer...!" she says with an innocent giggle.

He smiled slightly, letting her hug his arm as he leaned back slightly, his head bending back over the edge of the bench seats they were sitting on. It looked kinda uncomfortable but he was asleep pretty soon, his chest rising and falling gently as he breathed and his pulse visible in his neck considering it was craned back so extremely.

Cora blinked up at him for a few moments and let go of his arms, going to make sure that every door was locked, moving around how much she needed to until she was sure everything was as safe as it could possibly be, then went to maneuver under his arm and rest against his torso, closing her eyes and soon following him into sleep.

Anthony woke up the next morning in a cold sweat- he had been dreaming again, dammit.
His eyes shot open and he grabbed his rifle, aiming it and locking and loading it quick as a flash, breathing hard. Wait a minute...
Dammit.
He put the gun down and relaxed again, wiping his forehead and looking down at Cora.

Cora flinched when he moved, going to hold tighter to him for a few moments before relaxing and opening her eyes... she snickers a bit as she goes to sit up and rub at them, "Damn it, you woke me up..."

"Sorry," he mumbled apologetically, rubbing his own eyes as he slumped against the back of the seat, flicking the safety back on on his rifle.
