Nick decided to let Lark and Isamu explain why they needed the help, instead checking the impaled poacher's body for anything useful. He left the one in the river alone- no way was he going to fish him out and risk falling in himself. No thanks.
Keina stared at Raylmar's bird closely, "Nice feathers on that one... better keep an eye on her." She then walked over to the horses and placed her hands on her hips, "So, which one is mine?"
Isamu blinked, "You decided to help me after all." He smiled happily then waited for Lark to help him up onto Moo's back. Lark glanced at Keina before mounting his own horse and waiting for the others. He didn't plan on giving her any of the horses.

Raylmar quickly followed and mounted his horse. "I always keep an eye on her." Raylmar told kiena, softly patting his raven on her head.
"We weren't expecting to find a hawkling so quickly, I don't think... We can share Renegade, if he's up to it. What do you think, huh?" The question was directed more at the horse than at Keina as he patted the horse's muzzle affectionately.
Renegade sniffed Keina's wet hair then looked away from her and snorted. He didn't want some sopping wet person riding on his back. He looked at Nick as if to say, "She wishes!"
Keina sighed and rolled her eyes. "I guess I will walk then."
Keina sighed and rolled her eyes. "I guess I will walk then."
Nick grinned at Renegade and mounted him again, scratching behind the horse's ears. "You're funny, you know that? Funnier than most humans I've encountered."
Lark motioned for them to all get going. They had been traveling for a while now and they would have to find a place to make camp soon.
Keina walked beside Raylmar's horse, glancing at Dimeria every once in a while. She kept her eyes on her surroundings and manadged to keep up with the horse's paces. "Sooooooo, where are you from?" She asked Raylmar.
Isamu stayed quiet for the most part. He chatted with Nick every once in a while though. "So Nick, got any big plans for after our adventure?"

"Not really," Nick replied honestly, looking over at Isamu. "Probably just gonna pack up and keep moving, truth be told. I need to find my brother, and then I'll probably just go home. I don't really know."
"Far from here, from a different world in fact." Raylmar replied. Dimeria noticed keina looking at her, so she looked back, not really wanting to say anything.
"Oh," was all Keina replied as she ran her fingers over the feathers in her hair. She was an odd one all right. She was sneeky and clever. Keina also knew how to get her way and fend for herself. She was a very independent person. Whenever a bird crossed their path, she would take a moment or two to watch it intensly before moving on.
Isamu nodded, "I see, that sounds like a pretty good idea... finding your brother and all. I wish I knew where my brothers were."
"Mhm. I've been traveling by myself for a long time. It was almost a relief to come across these guys." Raylmar said.
"You've been around plenty of people, you just didn't talk to them." Dimeria said, almost muttering it.

"I have been around plenty of people... too many in fact. Im not much of a people person... "
Raylmar nodded slowly. "What makes your feathers so valuable? It seems like those poachers back there were really wanting them."
"Stupid humans use them to make jewelery and other things for purchase. In some places they use them to make clothes and in others they make baby blankets with them. Hawkling are said to have the softest feathers in existence."
"Yeah. I wish I knew where mine was too, but he's sorta disappeared on me. I have no idea where he went."
"Feathers as blankets? I've never heard of that. People in my world only use the skins of common animals." Raylmar said, a bit surprised at what people made out of simple feathers.
"Babies love feather blankets... I don't understand though. Why kill for money? It doesnt make any real sense..." Keina scowled at the thought.
Isamu sighed, "what is your brother's name?"
"Now I understand killing for a living, but to kill something just to make a pretty coin doesn't really make any sense." Raylmar told her.
