"I don't really trust her all that much... but if she can help me get some help then... I guess im going to have to put a little faith in her..."
"I don't trust her either," Lark said as he emptied the pan and added more chicken to it.
"Can you honestly trust anyone completely who you saw kill two guys? I don't trust her completely either, but that's natural. It'll come in time if she doesn't do anything stupid."
"I have to agree with you, she's a strange one, but she also seemed perfectly normal when she was talking to me." Raylmar said.
"Maybe she just wants to look tough so we won't try to harm her," Lark suggested.
"I'd understand if that was the case. She's way outnumbered here, so it may just be a natural reaction for her. Or it's just the way she is, I dunno." He stretched, rubbing his back against the tree bark and coming down the tree to sit by the fire, unsheathing and inspecting his sword.
When the food was done Lark passed it around to everyone. He ate his food hungrily. "So I wonder what kind of people are at the top of this mountain."
Isamu nibbled his food a bit then poked it. He laid down in his sleeping bag and curled up into a ball, having only eaten a very small portion of his chicken.
Nick shrugged, thoughtfully chewing on his chicken. "No clue. This is one of the only places I haven't been before, so this is all new territory to me."
He finished his food quickly and tossed the bones into the bushes for some random forest creatures to eat, leaning back against the tree and inspecting his sword again as he always did when he was lost in thought. "I'd like to take watch if you guys don't mind."

Raylmar ate happily, then looked around. There was really nothing interesting going on, and that hawkling was still gone. She shrugged his shoulders and set his finished food aside then laid down onto his back, looking up at the trees. He wasn't exactly tired yet.
Lark yawned, "If you insist," he snickered. "If you wan't to sleep at any point just wake me up alright? Ill be happy to take a turn at being watch..." he looked over at Isamu, but his face was hidden under his blanket. Lark sighed and shook his head, staring at Isamu's remaining food.
"Alright. 'Night, all," he said as he climbed the tree again after sheathing his sword. Settling himself against the branch with his one of his legs hanging off like a sunning panther, Nick listened to their surroundings as he watched the fire dance in its contained area.
Raylmar just laid where he was, still not feeling tired at all.
Lark settled into his bed and rolled over. it didn't take long for him at all to fall off into a dream filled sleep.
Isamu was sound asleep, though a few hours later he was fidgeting under his blankets. His stomach was grumbling uncontrollably and he appeared to be having a bad dream. Nightmares and night terrors were not uncommon happenings for Isamu, in fact, they were very frequent unwanted guests.
Nick looked down at Isamu, his eyes glinting in the dying firelight. He considered going down and waking him up, as he didn't exactly seem happy with what he was dreaming about.
Raylmar looked over at Isamu, and wondered if he should wake him up or something.
The roots of Isamu's hair grew darker and darker, until they turned black. The black color then began trailing further along each hair on his head.
Raylmar noticed then then sat upright, observing Isamu carefully.
Nick frowned as he realized what was happening and he silently slithered down the tree, stopping a yard away from Isamu to watch him carefully. He didn't know if he'd make it worse by waking him up so he let him be, instead watching him with narrowed green eyes.
