"Apprently a heavy sleeper, too," he murmured as he raised an eyebrow at Lark's ability to stay asleep after all of this. He sighed and leaned back against his tree again, closing his eyes although still very much aware of his surroundings. "And you just noticed that now, sweetheart?" He smiled slightly at Keina, although he kept his eyes closed.

"Don't call me that!" She growled. She then turned her attention back to the animals. With a scowl Keina finished her work and set her things aside. She then grabbed her share of the chicken and ate it quietly.

Raylmar just chuckled then leaned against the tree and rested his eyes.

Her reaction caused his smile to expand and he opened his eyes, sinking down to the ground until he was sitting with his back against the tree. He looked back up at the sky again, his fingers playing with a leaf as he lost himself in thought.

Isamu eventually fell back to sleep. He had a very dreamless sleep, which he didn't mind. It was certainly better than having night terrors. After a little while he began snoring quietly.

Raylmar too eventually fell asleep soundlessly.

Keina leaned back against a tree and began dozing off. Every time she caught herself falling asleep she would open her eyes and sit back up, only to nod off yet again. The night soon became cold and it left her in a shiver.

Nick glanced over at Isamu, sighing slightly as he shifted his position against the tree and looked down at the leaf he was holding, studying its intricacies and minute details, running a finger along the tiny veins in the thin blade of the leaf. He was pretty much alone now, unless he counted the overtly hostile hawkling.
"Cold?"

"No!" She snapped. Keina laid down on the ground, giving in to her tiredness. She curled up into a ball and tried to sleep. But sleep would not come. It was far too cold for Keina to get any sleep at all.

"Same here," he mumbled dryly, raising an eyebrow at her. Carefully moving so he didn't wake anybody up, he refueled the fire with some fallen sticks and one large hunk of a log he found not too far away. He coaxed it back to life and stood back once it was fairly large again, curling into a ball at the base of his tree and pulling his cloak tighter around him.
"Have fun," he said as he closed his eyes again, listening to the world around him.

Through the rest of the night Keina inched closer and closer to the fire and by morning she was right next to it. Her wings were wrapped around her body and her face, arms, and legs were hidden under them. It looked like she had been covered with a huge feather blanket.

A squirrel scurried over to Keina and curled up on her wings, snuggling into the silky soft feathers.

Nick smiled slightly when he saw Keina in the morning- how did he know that was going to happen?
He stood up and stretched luxuriously, popping the vertebra in his spine and cracking his knuckles as he did so. He rubbed the back of his head, mussing his hair up as he did so, as he silently padded around the small group to the horses.
"Morning, Renegade," he whispered softly, stroking the horse's nose.

Renny nickered softly in greeting and nuzzled his nose into Nick's hand. He liked this man very much.

Lark soon woke. He sat up and looked at everyone, then stood and walked over to Nick. "Did you get any sleep at all last night?"

"Nope," he told Lark as he placed his head on Renny's as he scratched the horse's neck. "Didn't need it. Wasn't tired. I might try to get some tonight, I dunno."

"Thats a shame... did the hawkling get up to much trouble? I don't think I really trust her..."

"Not really," he murmured, twirling a finger in Renegade's mane, "although she did almost give me a nose piercing with that spear of hers last night. Many small and fluffy animals met their doom. She's hostile but she didn't otherwise cause a lot of trouble."

"Poor fluffy animals..." Lark chuckled as he shook his head. "I don't know how to respond to her sometimes... shes just so... so.. violent."

"I know. That's why she's so fascinating," he said, giving Renegade a final pat before digging around for something to feed to him.

(My arm feels like braille from all of the ant bites I got x-x)

Raylmar chuckled, still leaning against the tree. "I've seen plenty of violent women in my life, so her actions aren't any new sight for me."

Lark frowned, "Well, im still scared of her... I would hate to make her mad at me..."
