Isamu Korino (played by Koda-Keet)

The Kingdom of Mirrim is located in a beautiful forested, mountainous, and prosperous land. The residents of this kingdom make their living in many ways including raising sheep, fishing, hunting, and farming. There is always something fun going on in the city and most people are friendly towards everyone. Even the royal family can be "too kind" at times.

Even though Mirrim is a peaceful place, things do happen. It isn't unusual for a ship full of pirates to stop by and steal whatever they can get, including people. Lately, there has seemed to be an increase in these pirate attacks, therefore, the king has taken a step in keeping his people safe.

Guards are now placed at the ports and all other entrances to the kingdom. It is difficult for anyone to enter without a proper identity.

But even with these attacks happening, people still wan't to move to Mirrim, because it is still one of the safest places around.

Isamu leaped from one rooftop to the other, his heavy boots thunking loudly as his feet met the tiles. The oponent he was chasing was very swift, but not swift enough. It didn't take long at all for Isamu to meet up with the large pirate. He swung his sword downward and struck the pirate in the shoulder, slicing through the skin in one smooth cut.

The scruffy faced pirate screamed in pain as he grabbed his shoulder and fell to the side, tumbling off of the roof and onto the busy streets below.

Isamu grinned and wiped his bloodied sword with a cloth, then returned it to the decorative scabbard that hung at his side. He brushed the wrinkles out of his green and gold jacket before spreading his large black wings. With a light leap he was gliding to the ground, where he landed softly on his feet.

Isamu strolled over to the pirate and put his heavy boot on the other man's chest. "Hey, ready to go to jail?" He asked with a smirk. "Or would you rather go to another world?" He added as he rest his hand on the hilt of his sword.

The pirate glared at him and pulled out a gun from his boot, then fired.
Even though the pirate was injured, his shot did not miss. The bullet met with Isamu's right shoulder, sending him flying backwards. The prince laid there on the street, clutching his shoulder and cursing.
(Oh, why not? Nick needs some action right now)

"A gun, eh? Don't see very many of those around anymore."
A tall and almost painfully thin young man was standing behind the pirate, carefully unsheathing the katana on his back. It was obvious he was an outsider- his pure black clothing disrupted only by a red bandana around his neck, thick black hair, and dark, slightly slanted green eyes were oddly out of place when surrounded by villagers. Even his sword was strange- a thin, slightly curved blade, only edged on one side. Despite its thin and almost delicate appearance, the katana had obviously seen its fair share of battles. It sang slightly as it was drawn from its sheath and brought into a combat position in front of its master.
Nick didn't know why he was helping this guy. Maybe because he had nothing better to do and he was bored. A traveler needs some excitement sometimes.

(Oh my gosh... why did I have him use a gun? Lol! Its not in their time period. I must have been in a funk that day xD)

The pirate, who was half-drunk anyway, did not hear the man behind him fast enough. He made a move to turn but the blade met his back before he could even see who was behind him. With a sharp cry of pain the man fell face first onto the dirt street.

Isamu stood with a grunt, holding his shoulder with a gloved hand. He blinked and looked the traveler up and down. "Thank you good man, for helping me get out of this trouble." Isamu's voice was a bit raspy from lack of sleep and dark lines shown beneath his eyes. He was a very sickly looking fellow, though it was obvious that he was a person of importance due to his clothes.

"My name is Isamu Kornio Saiforro, I am one of the princes here," he stated before grabbing a scarf on a nearby merchant's stall and wrapping his wound firmly.
Nick dipped his head slightly in recognition, slashing the sword down in a quick motion to flick the blood off before sheathing it again. "It was nothing. Let me see. I have a lot of medical training," he murmured, approaching the prince to inspect the wound.

Even though Isamu was a prince he wasn't stuck up. He very willingly unwrapped the scarf to show Nick his wound. The bullet was still embedded in his flesh. He looked down at it and tilted his head, "Well, it doesn't really look all that bad," he replied in an almost casual manner. "I trust you to help me," he added with a small smile of gratitude.

A large crowd of onlookers approached. This was of course, one of the bussiest places in the whole city. The citizens did enjoy getting to see members of the royal family out in public. It was like a treat to them.
"No, not bad at all. Hold on a sec." He looked at it a moment before pulling a rudimentary pair of tweezers from inside his thin traveling jacket and plucking the bullet out like it was nothing, quickly taking a step back in case it hurt a lot and caused a reflex- reflexes had almost been the death of him a few times. He dropped the bullet and stuck the tweezers back in his jacket before going in again to finish wrapping it up.
"Not deep. Won't need to be cauterized or anything- it'll heal naturally. Just keep it clean and all that other crap... I'm sounding like a cleric or somethin'." He shook his head, running a hand through his hair. "Anyways, I'd say you're good to go."

"Iv'e been hurt worse before," he replied with a half smile. "Thank you for your help again. Is there anything that I can do for you? Maybe you need a place to stay while visiting Mirrim?" Isamu asked as he adjusted his jacket. It would need to be sewed or replaced as there was now a hole in it.

Isamu wasn't too picky about his appearance, but he knew that he had to look decent out of respect for the rest of the royal family.
"To be honest, I wasn't planning on staying long. Just a couple of days to get myself together again and keep going. You know a place where I can get some good food? I've been livin' off roots for about a week now and it gets old really quick."

"Roots?"Isamu asked, tilting his head slightly. "Uh, yeah theres a bar near here that I used to go to all of the time." Isamu pointed at a building that wasn't too far off. He motioned for Nick to follow him and headed off down the busy street.

The street was full of merchents selling products. They called out to all who passed by and boasted about the high quality of their items. It was a very husy place but there was an odd and calming charm about it.

Upon reaching the door Isamu opened it and held it for Nick.

The bar was not very large. It had wooden stools and glasses of drinks all around. There was also a large selection of food and lots of women.
"Yeah, roots. Dandelion, maybe a nettle here and there, the works." He closed his eyes and inhaled the scents deeply, smiling slightly. "It smells good, at the very least. It'll be nice to eat something actually considered edible for once."

"The food here is fantastic," Isamu replied as he walked over to the bar and took a seat. Surprisingly, no one was staring at him. They all knew Isamu and had seen him here plenty of times before. "Oh waiter! The usual please! And whatever this here good fellow wants," he exclaimed, then looked at Nick.
"So what is your name anyway?"
"Nicky Lee. Most people just call me Nick," he replied, ordering something hearty and hopefully filling. He unsheathed his katana again and wiped the blade down with his bandana, smiling slightly as the blade sang at his touch. "I call this little beauty here Reaper."

"That is a very nice blade... for some reason I have never really thought to name my own sword," he replied as he looked down at the fancy scabbard that was attatched to his belt. "So what brought you to Mirrim in the first place anyway?" He asked as he tilted his head to the side slightly in a bird-like manner. One interesting thing about Isamu were his bird-like actions.
"Thanks. One of the last swords this specific sword maker made. Too bad, too, he made some of the best swords on the eastern seaboard." He shrugged at Isamu's question. "I don't have any real reason. I wander without purpose, I travel just for the heck of it. I stumbled upon this place by accident, really."

"I hope you didn't have too much of a rough time getting in. My father, the King, has doubled patrol around the whole kingdom of Mirrim. It can be pretty difficult for people to travel here... there have been many attacks by pirates lately and I can't shake this feeling hat something really big is going to happen very soon... I feel like some part of my past is going to jump up out of nowhere and bite me..." Isamu trailed off halfway through his sentence. "Ah... sorry if I was rambling..." he added quietly as he stared absentmindedly at the counter.
He shook his head to show it was okay. "Pirates, eh? Sounds like fun." He gave him a small, dry smile before glancing around and sheathing his katana, silencing the gentle ring it had been emitting when he had had it out.

After a few more silent minutes the bartender came over with a big smile on his face. He was holding two trays in his hands and carefully set them in front of the two men, "Enjoy! It's on the house," He said before heading back into the kitchen.

When Isamu's food arrived he seemed to perk right up. He lifted his gaze and grinned. In front of him was a large pile of corn-like chips and a bowl of hot melted cheese. "Ohhhhhhhh yummy!" He exclaimed like a child as he picked up one of the chips, dipped it, then ate it happily. "Im the chip and cheese eating champion," he snickered.
"I'm just the eating champion, 'specially when I'm friggin starving," he replied hungrily, taking a deep breath and enjoying the warm scents for a moment.
Half of the food on his plate was gone in about five minutes; it was only then when he slowed down a tad and finished everything else in seven. He seriously was not kidding when he said he had been living off roots. They're not the most filling thing in the world.
But now he was happy, and he closed his eyes in satisfaction, zoning out momentarily.

Isamu munched on his last chip before pushing the plate aside and grinning. "This is one of my favorite places in the entire kingdom. I can come here and people don't fuss over me. I think it's because I have been here so often and everybody is used to seeing me. Sometimes I do miss not living a fancy lifestyle... but... I wouldn't trade it for the world," he said as he pulled some coins out of his pocket and set them on the bar. It was a fair tip...

"If you would like, you may come to the castle. I would like to help you in return for the help you gave me... and I don't feel as though just feeding you is enough."
