What I'm looking for in a nutshell: Someone who likes to write a lot (multiple posts per day preferred) and a pre-made setting. This could be an original setting created by one of us, or it could be a fandom, but at this time I am not interested in worldbuilding from scratch. The settings I like are anything not contemporary Earth - alien planets, the past, weird fantasy or scifi worlds. I prefer roleplays with alien/nonhumanoid characters.
About Me:
Writing Style: Third person, past-tense. I usually write a few paragraphs per post. If I’m setting up a scene or a backstory my posts can be several pages long. During scenes with fast-paced dialogue my posts might only be a few lines. Really it depends on what’s going on in the story, and I’m not one for length quotas. Here are some of my writing samples. I'd appreciate seeing a sample from you as well.
Frequency: I can usually post multiple times a day, and I’m looking for a partner who likes to post frequently as well. I’m available from 12pm-4pm EST, and sometimes after 10pm.
Characters: I play characters of any gender. If you have a preference, let me know and I will probably accommodate you. I create a new character for every roleplay so I can tailor them to the story.
Pairings: For me, plot > romance. I do enjoy romance very much if it develops organically and doesn’t feel forced, but I can live without it. I won’t do slice of life romance. I prefer romance when I play opposite a male character. Smut is okay if it fits with the story, but I’m generally not very interested in sex scenes.
I am over the age of 25, and only interested in writing with other adults.
Themes I enjoy: historical realism, blood & violence, realistic melee combat, complex moral issues, drama, realistic characterization, low tech settings, fantasy/sci-fi mashups, horror, enemies becoming friends.
My Custom Settings/Races
The World of Capithua A medieval fantasy setting with a limited magic system and several races, with room for my partner to add any races to the world they would like. Based loosely on ancient Rome.
Alien Races Various races I’ve designed that could be used in many settings.
Plot Ideas
Alien Integration: Aliens crash land on Earth and have no choice but to integrate themselves into Earth culture. Preferably not set in modern times.. Perhaps the American frontier or Victorian England?
Gladiator Life: Set in Elder Scrolls or other medeivalish setting. Would follow the lives of a pair of arena fighters. Are they slaves hoping to someday escape this life? Did they become gladiators willingly, and if so, why? I think that bouncing between intense combat scenes and the drama of their personal lives would be interesting.

The Sparrow by Mary Doria Russell: (spoilers follow) The planet Rakhat is inhabited by two intelligent species: the friendly, simple Runa, a race of herbivores, and the Jana’ata, a race of carnivores who prey exclusively on the Runa. Both species are taller than humans, bipedal, with short fur. They have long, muscular tails, tall ears, and short muzzles. The Jana’ata make up around 4% of the population. The Runa have been domesticated and bred to perform almost any task and live as the slaves and food of the ruling Jana’ata. The technology on the planet is roughly analogous to 18th Century Earth. Society is strictly controlled by the ruling class, hierarchical, and stagnant. If you have any interest in this setting I will create a reference document with more information.
Black on Black by K.D. Wentworth: The hrinn of desert planet Anktan are a tall, wolflike people with 3-inch retractable claws, double thumbs, two rows of teeth, and long manes. They are a violent, vicious people. Males and females live separately, gathering yearly only to mate, and females are considered the dominant sex. Status is determined by strength, and a Line Mother is she who was able to defeat her predecessor in battle. Their technology has not progressed beyond the bronze age, and hrinn usually live in natural caves. Life starts brutal for the hrinn: the young are raised in a communal creche and must prove themselves by fighting their way free of it, sometimes killing their own siblings. Those that survive may still be culled as children if the Line Mother finds them unworthy. If you have any interest in this setting I will create a reference document with more information.

On very, very, rare occasions there may be unexplained, POSSIBLY supernatural events. Minor "environmental" magic. Perhaps implies the existence of a deity or supernatural entity. Or perhaps it's just tricks?
Renaissance
More combat than not. The setting may be at war, and the characters will likely get involved whether or not they seek it out.
