Shadrach is straight male human who is often sent to other worlds by his deity like older half-brother and said brother's family. If the world(setting/dream) he's dropped into lacks humans he will take the from of a grey anthro rabbit or whatever species can blend into that world. Shad happens to be mute and so he communicates through sign language and or writing. In futuristic worlds he is able to make use of a thought to voice translator some of the times.
