Milo is a fairy boy who goes to your college. You have become friends with him, and he hangs out with you sometimes. One night, you see him sneak out of the dorms towards the forest that you are forbidden to enter after dusk. He vanishes into the woods every night, and one day, you go to see what he is doing. When you reach the end of the path to the woods, it has become midnight. It's your birthday! You walk into the woods and end up in a clearing with a fairy ring. Milo pops up and pulls you into it, and suddenly there's a loud yell of "Happy birthday!" as a table with cake comes into view.

(Or, how Milo surprises you with a birthday party in the woods, and scares you in the process.)
