Abby sighed. "Should I fill out some papers first and make sure it is alright or anything around those lines?" She had never done anything like this so it was all new to her.
"Probably, I think it'd be a good idea," he agreed as Susie came back down the stairs flapping her hands in a ridiculous way.
"Kyle, I'm gonna kill you!"
"Not yet, okay? If you're gonna kill something then kill that beetle there under the bed, it's dying anyways."

Abby nodded. "Ms. Susie, I would like some paperwork to have Kyle come with me for a couple days to see he would like to stay at my home permanently." She spoke in a kind tone with a friendly smile to match.
"Oh, thank God- come with me, we'll see to this right now. Kyle, go get your stuff together, and for heaven's sakes go let those beastly animals of yours outside!" Susie scurried off the file room, leaving Kyle to saunter up the stairs looking pleased.
Abby nodded and followed Susie into the room. "What do you know of Kyle's family or is that allowed to be known unless the child is being adopted? It seems Kyle doesn't know very much." She asked.
Susie sighed as she dug around to find the paperwork they needed. "Kyle's mother wasn't the most responsible kind. He already told you she was seventeen and addicted to drugs, right? I'm actually surprised he wasn't born with more problems- anyways, his father didn't want anything to do with him and his mother certainly didn't want him, so when he was about a year old she dumped him with us."
Abby nodded. "That is very sad. Do you believe that he acts out the way he does because he wants attention that he never got from his parents?" She had to ask, trying to figure out Kyle to the best of her ability.
"I think most of it comes from his ADHD and excess of energy, but he does seem to be a bit of an attention hound," she murmured thoughtfully, finally finding the papers and sliding them over to Abby. "Sign here."
Abby listened and nodded. She signed the paper. "I see. Well, I will be back in a couple days to see if Kyle would like to stay with me."
"Thank you- he's all yours now. Good luck." She gave Abby a slight smile and headed back out.
Kyle was already leaning against the door, staring into the eyes of Freddy the garter snake. "I was just about to let him go, Susie," he said quickly, glancing up from the little reptile.

Abby came out behind Susie and saw Kyle. "You don't have to let him go if you don't want to. Yukio might not like him, but that is fine. As long as he isn't poisonous, I have no problem with him." She said.
"I probably shouldn't keep him," he mumbled reluctantly. "I don't have anything to keep him in, and I don't think he'd enjoy living in a sock or something."
"I use to have some fish, but my cat got them, so I should have the fish tank left that would work. How does that sound?"
"That should work for now. C'mere, Fred, hold still." He carefully slipped the snake in one of his pockets, making sure he wouldn't get out or hurt himself. "Good luck with the tarantula, Susie."
"Wait- you didn't-"
"She's all yours now, and she does seem to like your shirts," he told her mischievously.
So bad.

Abby walked out into the open air, holding the door open for Kyle. "Might I ask, but why do you act out so much, Kyle?" She wanted to hear his thoughts on why he acted out the way he did.
He frowned slightly as he walked out. "I dunno... I just feel like it most of the time. Why?"
Abby shook her head. "I was just wondering, is all."
Kyle shrugged again; he didn't exactly realize it but most of the time he did it just to get the attention. He liked attention, even if it was negative- it meant someone was noticing him for once.
He couldn't put a finger on that feeling, though, so he kept it to himself. A lot of it was just impulse, too, as he had told Abby. He had lots of impulses when he saw things that could possibly explode and/or wreck havoc.

"I think you will like my home. I have a guest bedroom that if you choose to stay that we can change into your bedroom. I do hope that you have fun while staying in my home." She smiled at him.
"I'll try not to set the house on fire," he told her with another one of his quirky grins.
