Abby nodded and went up to the door and unlocked. "Take a look inside."
He did so, although his wandering attention was quickly drawn to the cat. "Ooh-"
Yukio looked up at Kyle and meowed. "That would be Yukio. He is only about two years old but he is still pretty small for his age."
"Hey, Yukio," Kyle said as he sat down next to the cat. "Look, if we're going to be friends, you're gonna need to like my snake." He pulled Freddy out of his pocket again and held him out for Yukio to sniff.
Yukio sniffed the small snake, then gently rubbed his head against the small snake. "I think they will get along well, Yukio is really accepting and not very curious."
Freddy was a confused little snake, and he flicked his tongue out at Yukio as if trying to decide whether or not this cat was going to eat him.
Kyle patted the cat's head. "That's good. I'm gonna be really upset if he ends up dead- some cats are kinda weird like that and like killing small things."

Yukio meowed again, trying to show that he meant no harm. He gently tapped his paw against Freddy's head.
"Yukio goes after wild birds and squirrels, he isn't to fond of killing snakes, he usually just like to paw at them to get a reaction."

Freddy wriggled there in Kyle's grasp, flicking his tongue out again.
"So where's the fish tank, so I don't have to walk around with him in my pocket?"
"So where's the fish tank, so I don't have to walk around with him in my pocket?"
Yukio stared at the snake, blinked his bright green eyes.
"Give me a second to go find it." She went inside the house and looked around for the fish tank.

"Okay." He slipped the snake back in his pocket, petting Yukio instead.
Abby soon found the fish tank and brought outside. "Where would you like to have it put?"
"Wherever I'm staying, I guess. I'll get some stuff from outside for him." He stood up and wet outside to get some sticks and leaves and things so the snake would feel at home. He didn't seem to happy being in a pocket, after all.
Abby nodded, picked up the fish tanks and went back inside the house. She set the tank in the guest bedroom that would be Kyle's room for the time being.
He came back in with an armful of things from outside and dumped them in the tank, arranging the larger thugs carefully before putting his garter snake in there. Freddy quickly burrowed into the leaves and was lost to view.
"He seems happy," Kyle commented as his snake disappeared.
"He seems happy," Kyle commented as his snake disappeared.
Abby smiled to see the snake happy. "I'll go make some dinner, is there anything you would like?"
"Not really. I'll eat anything so long as it's edible."
"Alright." She left the room and went to the kitchen.
He paused a moment, watching the snake cool itself in the leaves, before walking to the window and pulling a pair of binoculars out of his backpack and scanned the skies with them.
