Ahdeth climbed behind his partner, acting as a support just in case he slipped or fell. He would be able to catch him.He paused climbing for a moment and looked out at the forest and over at the large city. Another city he could no longer visit. He really needed to be more careful and stop taking on every fight. It would be the death of him.
He sighed happily once they had reached the cave and laid down on slightly rough floor. He took a moment to catch his breath from the climbing before he sat up and looked at Aaron,"Were you hurt at all?"he asked and pull his back and swords against the wall of the cave.

"No." he looked over at Ahdeth and chuckled slightly. "Tired princess?" he smirked and sat next to the other, the both of them facing outside the cave. Aaron just raised his eyebrows when Ahdeth suddenly freaked out on him, beginning to raise his voice. He knew Ahdeth hated the nickname, but he never actually yelled at Aaron for it.
It only surprised him though, and he wasnt going to stop. He loved irritating Ahdeth, whatever the cost honnestly. He just sat back, not taking his little rant seriously at all. It was only midday and Ahdeth was already angry at him, this was like some new personal record. When he finished Aaron looked back at him and chuckled,"You done princess?"

Ahdeth growled and crossed his arms,"Yes i'm freaking done you...you..."he grunted, not able to come up with anything that could potentially annoy him so he went silent. He kept his eyes looking straight and said nothing to Aaron. He took deep breath and forced himself to calm down. There was no point getting annoyed over it anymore, he was going to call him princess regardless of how much he despised it.
It only took him a little less than an hour to fall asleep as the sun began to dip under the horizon. His head was rested back against the rough rock and his mouth slightly open as he slept. His hair messily hanging off his shoulders. He seemed to be quite tired lately though the current condition of his head didn't help.

It only caused his grin to widen, but soon silenced consumed the both of them. The irritation was almost tangible comming off the other before he noticed that he had fallen asleep against one of the rocks. He chuckled, thinking that he looked so peaceful when he was asleep rather than the anger or annoyance that he usually shows in the daytime. He waited until the sun went down before allowing himself to sleep as well. Nothin could really reach them up here and if they tried they wold make enough noise to wake him up. He pulled out the cloak and lay next Ahdeth, gently wrapping one arm around his waist and pressing their bodies together to keep warm. He threw the cloak over for some extra warmth but honestly they were fine as is. Aaron was a bit worried though; winter was coming, and if it came too fast, they both might just get stuck out in the cold.
Ahdeth shifted slightly, pressing close to the warmth then going still as he continued his peaceful slumber. Unfortunately the ache in his head was enough to force him awake. He slowly open his eyes and reached up, gripping his head tightly as the pain only grew worse. He glanced at Aaron and slowly slip out from his arms and wrapped the cloak around him.
Ahdeth slowly stood and looked out at the forest then up at the moon that hung high above him. He leaned against the nearby cave wall and slowly slid down it, letting out soft groan as the rub against his leg. He mentally cursed, he hadn't had this many injuries in a while. He spent the rest of the night looking out over the forest, trying to let the pain die down. He even tried chewing on a few of the herbs they had with them.

It was only a couple of hours later when Aaron awoke, noticing that it wasn't even light out yet. He also noticed that Ahdeth was gone and had a sudden heart attack before he noticed that Ahdeth was just sitting in the entrance to the cave. "you're up early." he stated as he slowly stood, cracking his still sore back and neck. He came over and looked at Ahdeth who looked like he was still in pain, his face pale and tired looking. He sighed and sat next to him, still feeling guilty for causing him to get hurt. He put his arm around the other and rested his forehead on his shoulder,"I'm sorry." he whispered,"And don't say it's not my fault....just, don't."
Ahdeth blinked a few times and turned his head to look at his partner, frowning,"Hey..stop worrying about it. Pain fades."he smiled and gave him a slight squeeze before he stood, getting out of his arms,"Let's think of what we need to do next."he pushed his long hair off his shoulders and looked over at the rising sun,"They'll be looking for us. So the best plan would be to either stay here for a few days, although the air is beginning to become crisp or search for somewhere we can stay for a short while."he looked over at him,"I want to get to the bottom of this. It's bothering me."he sighed and gently kicked a nearby rock gently.
"it's bothering me too, but we need to figure this out first," he took the dagger out of a loop in his pants. "We need to find whoever these initials belongs to first." he looked up at Ahdeth and shrugged, "Though I have no idea where to start..." putting tha dagger back he stood,"Plus we pretty much left everything back at the inn.." he sighed, leaning up against the side of the cave. All those new clothes and for nothing. Now everything they had except for their money and weapons and s little bit of food was gone, left in the city. "I suggest we start heading wherever it is we need to though, the orcs aren't far from here, and they know where we are at all times because of me." he looked out at the large expanse of forest then back at Ahdeth,"So, where to captain?"
He sighed,"Don't blame yourself okay? Sit down and let me teach you something useful."he grabbed his bag and pulled out a small pouch,"Now I do not know much about your physical capabilities. I judge they are in tune but there is something I would like to figure out about you Aaron."he opened the small pouch and tilted the bag upside down, a small clear stone falling into his hand,"I need you to hold this stone and concentrate. Let your body relax and let your energy flow."he placed the clear stone in his hand and watched him closely.
He watched as his partner struggled though he noticed his shoulders slump as he began to relax. His eyes went down to the stone and he blinked. Slowly, you could begin to notice a soft white light growing larger at the core of the stone. From just glancing at Ahdeth you could tell he was excited.

Aaron looked at him skeptically but held the stone in his hands, feeling it between his fingers. He wasn't really sure what this was all about, but he did have a pretty good idea. For once, he allowed his body to relax, to break his usually hard exterior to relax and feel the energy flowing through him. It frustrated him at first, nothing was actually happening and he thought this was just a trick Aaron was badly falling for. It was the look on Ahdeths face that gave away that this wasn't a trick, so he tried just a little bit harder. Soon, a small white light started emanating from the rock in his hands, growing ever so slightly brighter until it stopped and no matter how much harder he tried, it wouldn't get any brighter. "Is that as far as it goes?" he asked, looking up to see Ahdeths expression giddy with excitement.
Ahdeth nodded and took the stone,"For the amount you were able to summon that is pretty good."he slipped the stone into the pouch. The stone glowed brightly as he touched it but Ahdeth seemed not to care. He put the pouch away and looked to his partner. He took a moment to study him, to really study him. He reached a hand out and growled,"Make any stupid comments and I'll throw you out."he placed a hand on his chest and closed his eyes slowly. A tingly feeling could be felt from the tips of his fingers and the feeling went all through out Aaron's body. His whole body seemed to relax as he sent the feeling all through out his body until it all formed to the center of his body. Ahdeth had to quickly pull back as soon as he felt his core and opened his eyes,"What sort of ancestors do you have?"he asked and shook his hand a bit.
Aaron nodded, actually kind of proud of himself. He noticed Ahdeth was giving him a look see, but before he could smirk and make the snarky comment he wanted to, he got snapped st and quickly shut up. He felt Ahdeths hand on his chest, a sort of tingling sensation filling his entire body. He tensed, the sensation knocking the air out of him, but he soon willed himself to relax. He looked straight at Ahdeth as he worked on whatever it was he was doing. He had to hold mentally hold himself back from making a joke or another snarky comment, not doubting Ahdeths ability or will to throw him out of the cave. He was surprised when his partner suddenly pulled back, asking a a rather odd question for the moment. He shrugged,"I don't really know, my grandmother always told me my great grandfather was some sort of high elf if that holds any relevance, but I never really believed her.."
Ahdeth nodded and punched his shoulder lightly, looking at him darkly,"You were going to say something weren't you?"he said with a monotone voice. He quickly stopped though and nodded arms crossed,"A high elf? That's something. High elves are of some of the highest magic users."he smiled a bit and stood, grabbing his bag,"I'll teach you along the way. Let's head north, I hear there is a small village on that side of the mountain."he said as he walked over to the edge of the cave and jumped.
He landed on the balls of his feet then looked up. He smirked and held his arms open for him,"Jump oh lovely duchess and I shall catch you."he laughed and kept his arms open for his partner.

He rolled his eyes,"You know I was kind of hoping for something more original like 'let down your hair', but I suppose that only applies to you." he called down. He ended up jumping anyway, landing in Ahdeths arms just like in the books. "Alright, now this is the part where we kiss and ride off into the sunset right?" he hit the ground with a rather loud thud, nothing being said from Ahdeth as he walked away. "That wasn't very nice, you just saves your damsel in distress and you just drop her?" he feigned shock,"You would be a terrible prince charming, I would trade you in a heartbeat." he crossed his arms and walked next to his partner, treading lightly to make any orcs job following them that much harder.
He laughed a bit,"I'm not the prince charming type, that's why."he grabbed his hair and bundled it together as he grabbed a string from his belt and loosely tired his hair up so it wasn't getting in his face,"Go ahead. Let it out before you explode."he gave him an unamused expression once his hair was tied. He would admit, he could easily pass as a woman if he tried, which only made his blood boil ever so slightly. He pushed his mind away from the thought and began to think of something more useful. Such as what sort of magic he should Aaron and if he was able to accomplish it yet. It would be helpful if he could help change his appearance when needed but that would take time, time they didn't really have but he decided they should give it a try. For all he knows Aaron could be a natural with magic since his ancestor was a high elf.
"Of course you're not, you didn't even go for the signature kiss before you dropped me. Now that is rude." he looked over as Ahdeth pulled up his hair,"I'll let this one slide princess." He leaned over and gave his partner a small peck on the cheek,"But you do look adorable." he sounded almost like ones grandmother would, looking at their grandchild all grown up. Ahdeth didn't seemed at all pleased, but it still didn't faze Aarom in the slightest. They soon lapsed into silence, neither of them saying a word for what seemed like hours, Ahdeth clearly not wanting to talk and assuming a rigid and unenterable air that he didn't dare try to penetrate. "Do you know where we're going?" he asked all of a sudden, wanting to get rid of the awkward feeling between them that Aaron had some reason to suspect that he caused.
Ahdeth flushed lightly as he felt him peck his cheek and sped up his pace a bit so he wouldn't see his face. He let out a groan as the awkwardness began to kick and just kept walking. He continued to head north, traveling around the side of the mountain. He looked back at Aaron and nodded,"Of course. I have the map."he pulled it from his pocket and opened it. He slowed down his pace and pointed to a small village just north of where they had camped for the night,"I'd like to get us at least a bed for the night and some fresh food. Also, I will be teaching you a few tricks, like changing your appearance with glamour. I think you'll be able to do it."he said as he folded the map up and slipped it carefully into his bag.
Aaron goraned, feeling like he was going back to school all over again,"Aren't there any basics you should teach me first, that seems a little out of my league right now." He shrugged, feeling a bit intimidated by the fact that he was going to learn magic, or at least some types of it. He had never felt any need to use magic, and didn't really feel one even now. They walked until it got dark again, barely a word being exchanged before they made it into the small outlying village. Luckily for them, this village actually showed signs of life, lights on in the houses and dwarves still roaming the streets. He almost breathed a sigh of relief, having been expecting it to be barren and desolate.
Ahdeth grabbed a few golden coins and handed them to an inn keeper once they had found the nearest inn. Ahdeth thanked the woman politely and she just seemed to stare, too flustered to speak. He walked up to the room and unlocked the door, sighing as he noticed there was only one bed once again. He set the beg on the floor and put his swords up against the wall then laid down on the bed,"We'll need to buy heavy clothing son...and we don't have much money left."he groaned and slowly sat up, holding his head,"I'll only teach you the glamour for tonight, just so you can at least change a few features in case we run into more orcs."
Aaron noticed the expression on the innkeeper and slung his arm around the others shoulder, just looking back at her to motion 'mine' with his thumb. She just blushed even harder and it caused him to chuckle. He looked at Ahdeth, but he didn't seem to have noticed. When they opened the door the first thing he noticed was the one bed. He visibly slouched, really hoping for his own bed tonight and not having to sleep with Ahdeth. "We don't need heavy clothing as long as you don't mind snuggling. It'll cut down on some of the money we would lose." He shrugged, but groaned when he heard what he would have to learn. "How long is it going to take, because I'm not really in the mood..."
