Aaron kept the knife, examining it as he sat down at the foot of his bed. He gave a hum in response,"But you didn't find that the least bit odd?" Looking over to Ahdeth he held up the knife between two fingers,"Since when have orcs had the need to carry knives, and since when did it become their choice weapon. I mean, they usually carry large cleavers and things like that." He sighed and stood, putting the knife on the dresser. He removed his own shirt, still thinking,"You know, they didn't really put up much of a fight now did they. I suppose that's the strangest part. They never just submit...especially if they pick the fight..." Laying down on Ahdeths bed, he put his arms behind his head. "Do you suppose I'm over thinking this?"
Ahdeth sat up and shook his head,"No, i noticed as well. Also they're fighting style is different. Orc's tend to put all their power into each swing because they can have such great stamina but they were barely even trying. I mean...Orc's are known for their strength."he shrugged, arms crossed as he looked down at the floor,"Maybe we'll find out."he laid back down and placed a hand on his stomach, letting out a deep breath,"That fight was no fun at all..."he grumbled and moved onto his side, closing his eyes.
He looked over at Ahdeth who had rolled onto his side,"Well I'm sorry you're disappointed." He stood from the bed and moved over to his own. Sitting down, he took off his own boots, throwing them to the side. He moved to the dresser and looked in the mirror, seeing the small cut that was slowly trickling blood. He had almost completely forgotten, for it didn't even sting. Cleaning it, he looked back over the knife that had cut him. It was small and covered in Orc blood, it looked like a small dagger. He ended cleaning it off too, examining it once more. He lay on his bed most of the night, trying to fit the pieces together. But there was just to little information. He managed to find the make, but it only puzzled him further and he eventually ended up just passing out until morning.
It didn't take him too long to fall asleep but he fell asleep a bit bothered by the recent events. It made no sense to him, which just agitated him more. He let out a sigh as he fell asleep and his body relaxed, falling asleep to the sound of Aaron getting ready for bed.
Ahdeth woke up the next morning. He felt refreshed until he remembered last night and slowly sat up. He glanced over at Aaron and took a moment to build up his barriers. Once he felt they were secure he stood and grabbed his bag. He began to take off his pants until he remembered Aaron could wake up any moment. He cursed at himself and quickly changed.

Aaron awoke with a start to find Ahdeth standing in the middle of the room changing. He quickly shut his eyes and waited until he was done, not having seen anything. "You done?" He groaned, sitting up but keeping his eyes shut. When the answer was heard he looked at the ground,"Don't worry, you were still clothed when I woke up, mostly..I promise." He slipped his feet in his boots and stood, wobbling a little and having to use the bed to keep himself up.
He stretched, cracking his back and neck to get comfortable,"So, how long were you planning on staying, because I am still awfully curious." He smiled again that grin of almost mad glee. "Unless you don't want to, of course, that's perfectly fine I suppose."

Ahdeth shrugged and sat on his bed, folding the clothes he held in his lap,"well...i'm not sure now. I suppose i'm a bit curious as well..."he ran a hand through his hair and fixed his blonde locks, eyes to the ground as he spoke,"Let's look into it. Just to satisfy our curiosity."he reached for his boots and pulled them on, leaning over to lace them up.
He stood and looked over at his blades, reaching down to grab them. His eyes looked to the side as he noticed the dagger near Aaron's bed,"You kept that? Not a very good blade."he walked over and picked it up, studying the blade and craftsman before he set it back down.

He jumped up,"Wonderful, we can go immediately and I know exactly where to start." He stopped in the middle of putting his shirt on. "Of course, it's a bit of a trek." He shrugged and pulled he tunic over his head, putting on the same clothes he had been for days now. Strapping himself into his boots he picked up the satchel of gold and tied it to his waist.
He almost didn't hear Ahdeth speak, but his eyes lit up immediately,"It's been worn down and used, but it is certainly made by dwarves. Which is why we must head there first, to dwarven territory." Picking up the dagger he slipped it in his belt just to keep. "I've never been to the dwarven cities, are they nice? I hear they're the richest cities when it comes to jewels." He looked over at Ahdeth, who was simply staring at him. He realized he had spoken a bit too much and wiped the toothy grin from his face immediately.

Ahdeth blinked and laughed a bit as Aaron quickly stopped smiling once he noticed he was staring,"Sounds like a plan."he reached into his bag and took out a brown pouch,"Come here."he walked over to the table near the wall and began to untie the pouch,"This is the sort of stuff dwarves obsess over."he waited for him to stand besides him then poured out a large varieties of precious gems and stones. There was gold, ruby, sapphire and even a bit of diamond among many other stones,"I earned these from a master gem collecter who taught me how to search for precious stones like these."he smiled a bit as he watched his partners expression.
Not sure what Ahdeth was doing, he went to stand beside him. He certainly hasn't expected that many jewels to come out onto the table. "And you just carry this with you!?" He asked, astonished. He had never seen so many riches in one place before. Picking up a diamond he examined it, twirling it in his fingers. "And you're sure these are all real." It was more of a statement. Aaron knew they were real, but dwarves had keen eyes for previous stones and wouldn't accept anything but the best. He started to pick it all up and put it back in the pouch it came from,"It will certainly help us, but I think it would be best if we kept it as hidden as possible. We don't know how many thieves we might encounter on the road."
He nodded,"Of course."he slipped it back into his bag and slipped that on as well,"I suppose we should get going if were going to solve this odd mystery."he chuckled,"But first maybe some breakfast."he glanced at Aaron before he began to walk to the door, blowing his bangs from his face, He bought a simple breakfast for them. A loaf of bread and some fruit.
He first located the districts of the dwarves in the vast city and began to eat his share as they began their journey. He was glad to have someone accompany with him and because Aaron was Aaron it would either be annoying or a bit delightful.

Aaron followed along, Ahdeth looking like he knew what he was doing. He grabbed an apple, munching on it along the way, and realized as they walked, he had no idea where they were. "Um, Ahdeth, where exactly are we at the moment?" He looked around, trying to find landmarks that he recognized, but nothing seemed to pop out at him. He thought had been everywhere in this area, but this way out of the city seemed unfamiliar. Taking another bite of his apple he threw it to the side, but he was still hungry. Unfortunately, the rest of the food was in a satchel tied to Ahdeths waist. While the other was talking, Aaron tried his best to discreetly reach his hand down and take out a small bushel of grapes, but it didn't really work out so well and it ended up with him just falling onto his stomach as Ahdeth walked foreword.
Ahdeth looked around,"Well before we left I had grabbed a map and the dwarven district was to the east so..."he pulled the map from his pocket and took a moment as they walked to the study it. They were just slightly lost but he decided to just keep heading east. He slipped the map into his pocket and stopped walking as he heard Aaron fall,"Graceful aren't we/"he chuckled and offered his hand. Once he took it he pulled him up to his feet,"Did you need something?"
He took the hand offered I him, but grumbled when he stood and fixed himself. "No, I'm fine." His stomach said otherwise, but he wasn't about to admit to his clumsiness. "Anyways," he sighed, running a hand through his hair,"We should be getting to the gate soon, I think..." As it turned out, he was right. They soon made it to the gate, the gatekeeper gladly letting them out. The journey was rather silent though as they crossed the grassland into a large forest that cut the dwarven districts from the elvish. By that point, they had run out of their breakfast and the afternoon sun was getting low in the sky. "I think it's best if we stop for the night and try to find something to eat. And probably a nice clearing to sleep."
Ahdeth kept his eyes down, studying the tall wispy grass as it softly rustled in the wind. He felt his shoulders relax and he lifted his head, eyes closed as a large gust of wind blew, causing his hair to be blown back. He let out a happy sigh and turned his head to look at Aaron as he spoke,"I'll get us some food. Would you mind starting a fire. He have about an hour til the sun begins to set."he said. Once they came to a flat clearing Ahdeth set his bag on the ground then turned towards the forest,"I'll be back."he began to walk into the thick forest quietly, in search of their dinner.
Aaron watched as Ahdeth disappeared into the forest and he set to work himself. He went out, leaving there things, and went to collect sticks and rocks. Clearing out a space, he used the rocks to create a circle. Inside the circle he put in a pile of dry logs he had found and covered it in small sticks. The only problem was that he lacked something to set it alight. Using a stick, he went on a small trek to find tree sap. It took a bit, but eventually he found it, dipping the end of the stick in and bringing it back to their small camp. Finding Ahdeth not back yet he figured he still had time to get this fire going. Using one of the logs he used friction to light up the tree sap and set the whole thing on fire. He sat back once done, getting himself comfortable, until he realized something was wrong, Ahdeth hadn't returned yet.
Ahdeth watched silently through a bush as a deer stood by a small stream. He drew his sword slowly and took a silent to the side as he prepared to strike the deer. He froze as the deer suddenly began to run and Ahdeth jumped up into a tree for better cover. He watched as four brute orcs waked besides the stream. They could be trouble for them later if he didn't take them out now now. He drew his second blade and sat on the balls of his feet. He launched himself forward and two immediately dropped as he slit their throats. He smirked at the other two as they stood surprised,"Hello..."
Ahdeth walked out of the forest carrying a few bags on his shoulder and a rabbit in one of his hands,"Sorry I took so long. There were four orcs and you know, I don't want them atempting to ambush us when we fall asleep."he sat besides him.

He raised his eyebrows,"Do you know where they came from? There might be more." He looked at the sacs over his shoulder and his mouth watered, instantly thinking about the meat that he was soon going to devour. They quickly gutted and impaled the rabbit on a stick, hanging it over the fire. Aaron slowly cooked it, seasoning it with whatever they had left over to make it taste a little less bland. "I still think we should put the fire out when we're done. It's best if we lay low..." He slowly twirled the rabbit, waiting until it was perfect before taking it off and splitting the limbs.
After they were done, both Aaron and Ahdeth used dirt to suffocate the fire. Instantly Aaron suppressed a shiver, the temperature dropping quite a bit. Swallowing his pride, he decided it was for the best. "Um, so, it may get a bit cold, and, I think we may need to uh....huddle together for warmth."

Ahdeth shuddered sightly and pulled his thin cloak tighter to his body. He blinked at what Aaron had suggested and he looked at the area where they had smuggled the fire out. He swallowed his pride and moved over to him, putting the cloak over both of their shoulders,"It's the only idea I can think of right now..."he mumbled and his cheeks flushed lightly as he huddled close to his partner, keeping his eyes to the ground in embarrassment.
He couldn't exactly see Ahdeth in the dark but he could feel that he was tense. Hesitantly he lay himself down, his head in his partner lap, the rest of his body under the cloak. He huddled himself close to keep the both of them warm and looked up despite the fact that he couldn't really see. "So...." He could already tell this was going to be a rather long night,"Anything you want to talk about to keep awake? Or should we go in shifts? You take the first ill take the second?"
Ahdeth tensed as he moved and he glanced down at Aaron, who was now laying in his lap. He blushed even darker and looked to the side,"Go ahead and rest...i'm sure you're tired..."he slowly looked down at his partner. His blue eyes easily visible even in this darkness. They looked soft but still unsure. He pulled the cloak tighter around Aaron, feeling warm enough to last through the night. Aaron's personal warmth just enough.
