Aaron just shrugged, "well, wake me up when you get tired." He stayed close, closing his eyes and allowing Ahdeth to cover him in the cloak. He was slowly coming to realize that Ahdeth was becoming less talkative. It was a bit strange honestly, but he only hoped that it wasn't something he did that had triggered it. Sighing to himself, he allowed his mind to wander from the topic, his entire body relaxing as he slipped from consciousness.

Ahdeth looked up once Aaron had closed his eyes and just looked around,enjoying being in his natural environment. He relaxed, beginning to absentmindedly plat with Aaron's hair as he listened to the soft sounds around him. It almost made him want to fall asleep but he knew better then to do allow that. He let out a sigh and laid back on the ground, using his free hand as a pillow for the back of his head.

Before Ahdeth knew it he could begin to see the sky lightened as the sun began to rise. He blinked a few times and sat up. He looked odwn at his sleeping partner and gently shook him awake,"Aaron..."

Aaron woke up slowly to the feeling of someone softly shaking him and a hand in his hair. He groaned, not wanting to move. Whatever it was he was laying on was warm as opposed to the cold hard ground and he didn't want to leave it. It took over a minute of him blinking out the sudden light to realize where he actually was, which caused him to jump a little. "Why didn't you wake me?" He asked, his voice groggy as he tried to wipe the sleep from his eyes.

He gave Ahdeth a sleepy half smile as he slowly stood from where they were laying. He ran a hand through his hair, that had clearly been mussed up the night before, and tried to assess the situation. "My apologies, but I've never really been the best in the mornings.." He yawned, stretching his stiff muscles.

Ahdeth stood as well and stretched his arms above his head, letting out a sigh,"My apologies. I lost track of time."he said as he grabbed his bag and tossed him one of the pouches with some fruit inside,"Eat up, we should get going soon. I'm all stiff from sitting."he said as he slipped on his swords, though this time they hung on either side of his hips. He walked over to Aaron and messed up his hair before he walked past him, towards the direction they had been travelling yesterday.

He had finally gotten his hair to an acceptable place when Ahdeth came over just to mess it up again. "Didn't you have enough time playing with my hair last night?" He laughed, stretching and grabbing some leftovers from the night previous. Kicking dirt on the fireplace he quickly grabbed his things before beginning to walk. He turned to walk backwards,"You know princess, if you're stiff, I can always carry you. We wouldn't want to to hurt yourself after all." He mocked, sending a fake kiss his way. Waiting for Ahdeth to move past him, he smirked and took his place beside his partner. The both of them slowly made the long trek towards the edge of elven territory, not a whole lot being said as they carefully made their way through the forest and across the border.

Ahdeth shot him a glare,"Do I look like a princess?"he growled and walked past him, swords clanking at his side. He hated being treated like he was delicate just because he was slightly feminine looking which he would admit. Ahdeth said nothing to him the rest of the way. He wasn't in the mood to talk, especially since he had been aware he had been messing with Aaron's hair, he simply couldn't help it.

He reached into his bag and pulled out a small peach. He happily bit into the juicy fruit and was careful not to make the juices drip down his chin, he hated the feeling of being sticky. Upon thinking that hefelt incredibly perverted and simply forced his thoughts to the mystery of the odd orcs, shich just continued to confuse him.

"Do you want to look like a princess?" He retaliated. Following behind he couldn't help but notice the feminine curves of his body. He was muscled but it only complimented his thin frame. It was a while before Ahdeth would speak to him. He had that air that told Aaron he should lay off for a little while. He waited until that air dissipated,"We should be there soon." He moved to walk next to Ahdeth. So far, they hadn't met any trouble, but they still had a way to go. The first town gate should be coming up soon at the rate they were going.

It was only a small village that they first came across, but at least it was something that told them they were headed in the right direction. Maybe this time they would be able to fine someone who would allow them in instead of them sleeping in the woods. The only setback was that there was nobody in sight. Everywhere they looked, nobody could be found. "I guess we can pick anywhere to stay then..." He shrugged,"Unless you want to just skip over this, it is only around noon."

Ahdeth looked around confused. He walked around the village, peering into to houses just to see if anyone was inside. There weren't even children running around playing. He turned to Aaron,"Well I would like to know why no one is here but one mystery at a time. Let's see if we can find some food, were pretty low."he looked through the pouch and pulled out a few apples.

He walked into a wealthy looking home and looked around,"Empty...every house empty...woah look at this kitchen."he looked though cupboards filled with delicious foods,"Should we take some?"he asked Aaron with a small smile.

Aaron nodded taking a bite of one of the apples. "They just left everything." He observed as he began to rummage through the home. He started going through the cubbords to find food, grabbing anything that hadnt spoiled already. He saw Ahdeths smile, but didn't return it,"They've been gone for a little while. But nothing was burned or stolen." He stood and leaned up against the wall, his eyebrows knit together in thought. He ran a hand through his hair and sighed in frustraton.

"We should be careful in case whatever was the cause decided to hang around, though it isn't likely." He took another bite of the apple while pacing around the small but nice looking home. "How much do you want to take? The rest we can eat now so it won't go to waste."

Ahdeth grabbed some grapes and began to slowly nibble at them,"Let's fill up and brings things that won't quickly spoil. I don't want you hand around too long."he said and grabbed some meat hanging to the side,"Want some ham?"he asked, knowing Aaron adored meat. He chuckled at his expression and took his cloak and bag off,"Go relax, i'll cook."

Ahdeth prepared the ham in a light honey dressing that he had found prepaid among the other food. He gladly fried the ham and thought back to the last time he cooked. That was years ago. He suddenly remembered a delicious cake he used to make. He rummaged aroundto see if everything hr needed was there and wasn't he lucky.

When meat was brought up, Aaron couldn't help but smile and quickly agree. He tried to help with preparation, but Ahdeth only ended up shooing him away. Eventually, he just went to go sit at the dining room table, his feet propped up on the table and his chair leaning back. He finished his apple, throwing it towards the trash can, but missing by an inch or two. He groaned, but didn't go to pick it up. Taking his feet off the table, he put his head down.

This empty town, it was more than just a ghostly reminder for him. How many lives were lost, if they were even lost. Children had lived in this house, he could tell, and they just disappeared without a trace. Nobody would know of their disappearance. 'Why hasn't anyone noticed?' He thought. Maybe they had, but nobody had said anything. Not even the dwarves in elven territory said a word about a disappearing village.

He pushed those thoughts from his mind though when Ahdeth came back into the room. He picked himself up and allowed his partner to place food in front of him. He instantly noticed the cake,"You bake too? And here I was beginning to think you were pretty threatening." He teased, a smirk forming on his face once again.

Ahdeth rolled his eyes and sat besides him,"I dabble in a lot..."he chuckled as he noticed him smirk and began on a cake he had made for himself. He leaned on his hand as he ate it, looking as if he was remembering something. He let out a soft sigh as a particular memory came to mind.

The cake Ahdeth had made were referred to as sweet cakes by his master. He was obsessed with them and Ahdeth decided he might as well learn how to make them. They were certainly tasty but they gave too many memories he was beginning to miss. He pushed past the fog of memories and glanced at Aaron,"Is the ham good? I found some honey dressing so it would have more flavor."

He hummed in response and looked over,"it's good, I appreciate you doing this, making this, I mean." He gave a small, quick, smile. He looked around as he ate, taking in the interior. It was cozy and small, but just enough for a family of four, especially if those four are dwarves. He finished what he could, leaving most of the cake because of his full stomach. He put his feet back up on the corner of the table,"A nice back massage would be really nice right now if you know what I mean." Feeling rather lethargic at the moment, he had no intention of moving to continue their journey anytime soon. He was feeling rather stiff, and just wanted to lay down in a warm bed for a long time. Looking over to Ahdeth, he pouted,"Carry me mommy." He put his hands out, his voice sarcastic.

He was able to eat about half of his cake before he pushed the plate away, feeling he had eaten enough sweets for one day. He rolled his eyes at the request for a back massage,"If anyone deserves one it's me..."he mumbled quietly then stood, pushing his chair in. He paused as he headed back to the kitchen and raised an eyebrow at his partner,"You really are like a child."he walked over and threw him over his shoulder,"I'm only doing this once."he grumbled and set him down on a surprisingly large bed,"We'll head out whenever. Rest up."he said before he walked out of the bedroom and closed the door behind him.

He hasn't actually expected it to work, but he was pleasantly surprised when it did. When he was finally put down on the bed he positioned himself to look seductive, patting the space beside him. "There's still room for one more." A smirk appeared as he winked,"It's just you and me, with no one around for miles." He winced when the door was slammed shut on him but his smirk never faded. He sat up to take his boots off before stripping and allowing himself to get comfortable. Wrapping himself up in the furs laying out on the bed he figured this must have been house to an important family. Why else would they need a bed big enough to fit two full sized humans. It felt so nice to lay down after a meal, his arm behind his head to keep himself propped up as he took a quick nap before they would head out again.

Ahdeth grumbled as he walked back out to where they had sat to eat and looked around. He noticed there were some kids toys sitting in the corner of the room. They looked as though a kid had recently been playing with them. This was so strange and he just couldn't wrap his mind around it. He walked out of the house and began to search through each of the houses. Only one looked as though it had been broken into but it seemed like only small things had been taken and he wasn't sure when it had happened. He did notice however a piece of cloth amon broken glass. He gave it a quick sniff and almost gagged,"Orcs...orcs were here."he slipped it into hs pocket and returned back to Aaron.

Sleeping was when Aaron was at his weakest, that was for certain. He felt comfortable, knowing Ahdeth was in the next room. He hasn't been aware of his leaving until he heard movement behind him. Instantly he thought it was Ahdeth, but he soon found that it wasn't. Heavy breathing could be heard and a rotten smell filled the room. He tensed up, unsure of what they were waiting for. When he tried to make a move though, he was instantly grabbed, gagged, and dragged out of bed. If anything was more humiliating, it was being dragged by orcs, half naked, into the kitchen to find Ahdeth just strolling in the front door.

Ahdeth stopped immediately at what he saw."Oh...crap..."he mumbled and put his hands up slowly, glancing around to make sure he knew where his swords were. As soon as one of the orcs began to grab him he grabbed his arms and slammed him into the ground. The other orc gripped Aaron tightly and Ahdeth paused, crouching slightly. Before the orc could even think of hurting Aaron a dagger was already through his skull. Ahdeth grabbed Aaron and grabbed his swords,"Hurry up and get dressed."he said as he quickly grabbed a bag full of food.

Aaron quickly pulled the cloth out of his mouth, gagging at the taste. That was something he was never going to get out of his mouth. He ran back into the bedroom only to close the door instantly. Two wolves had followed the orcs inside, most likely to signal the others when the time called for it. "I think I'm going to have to go as is." He grabbed the money they had and followed Ahdeth out the door. Just pants was going to have to do for now, there was no way he was going to be able scrap whatever was left of his tunic. They instantly stopped when they stepped outside though as five more orcs came round with a giant in tow. "Really!?" He yelled, but was quickly cut off when Ahdeth grabbed him to run in the other direction.
