Ahdeth (played by Chibidoitsu98)

His eyes widened and he grabbed Aaron, quickly running the opposite way,"I can solve this."he drew a hand sword and handed it to Aaron,"I need to concentrate. Hold them off."he topped running once they were a good distance away, eyes closed tightly as he began to focus.

It only took a moment before the wolves caught up to them, growling as the slowly stepped closer to them. Slowly, reality around Ahdeth began to distort and he grabbed Aaron, holding him close just as the wolves pounced. Ahdeth slowly opened his eyes and looked around,"Oh thank goodness."he sighed and looked at Aaron,"Are you alright?"he asked. They now stood in the field they had previously stayed last night.

Aaron's eyed were wide as he looked at where they were. "How did you..." He whispered as he stood. He looked down at the sword in his hand. It had blood on it, which meant he probably did something with it, but he had no idea what he had hit. It had all sort of been a blur. He dropped the sword in disgust, the sight of the blood making him want to gag. Believe it or not, he had never actually killed anything before. He heard Ahdeths voice faintly,"Yeah, I'm fine...just a bit disoriented." He spit on the ground, desperately trying to get the taste of Orc out of his mouth. "We should get moving, quickly. They have my clothes, which means they have my scent. It's only a matter of time before they pick up a trail."
Ahdeth (played by Chibidoitsu98)

He nodded slowly and dropped to his knees,"Yeah...just give me a moment..."he panted and looked down at the ground. He grabbed the bloodied sword and slipped it back into it's sheath. He slowly stood and grabbed his hand, pulling him into the forest,"This is ridiculous..."he said quietly and looked around the forest, remembering a few of the landmarks he had seen when he went hunting.

Eventually they came to a large waterfall and Ahdeth quickly pulled him under it, a small cave behind the rushing water,"I heard something..."he whispered and held Aaron close as he listened. Heavy foot steps and yelling could be heard in the distance as orcs began to search through the forest for them.

Aaron heard the noise in the distance. Well, lucky for them they were not trying to be quiet. The smell of moss and the damp of the rock would hide them for now, but what would happen when they left the cave. Why did the orcs even care that much, they hadn't even killed those that they found in the alley that day. He pulled away from Ahdeth, leaning up against the wall of the cave as they waited for the noise to die down in the other direction. "Well, what do you think? Safe yet?" He raised an eyebrow, his tone slightly sarcastic. Ever since he had met this guy, nowhere had been safe for either of them. Now Aaron had made it even worse by giving them a trail.
Ahdeth (played by Chibidoitsu98)

Ahdeth kept his eyes on the water as they waited for the noise to go away. He waited a good half an hour before he stood and lipped out of the waterfall. He looked around and heard nothing but he didn't trust the silence,"I think we should stay here for the night."he said quietly as he slipped back into the small cave. He looked to Aaron then handed him his cloak as he noticed him shivering,"They snuck up on us once, I just want to be safe. Besides we plenty of food."he smiled slightly though it quickly faded as he felt his stomach tighten. He sat down and rested back against the cold stone, letting out a sigh,"Teleporting really drains you..."

Aaron took the cloak and wrapped it around himself, glad for the warmth. "Yeah, teleporting. And what else have you neglected to tell me." He chuckled but it was dry and held no amusement. He looked over at Ahdeth, who looked exhausted, almost scarily so. Sighing he pulled Ahdeth onto his lap, his arms wrapping around his thin frame. "Don't even say anything, just accept that I'm trying to help." His voice was stern, and there would be no arguing. He was in what his wife used to call his 'Alpha male mode', whenever something threatening was nearby he had the instinct to protect whatever was he needed to. He used to always get teased for it, especially when it was just him overreacting, but his time he felt like he could actually do some good while Ahdeth could safely rest. "I'll take watch this time."
Ahdeth (played by Chibidoitsu98)

Ahdeth felt his eyes widened and he looked at Aaron. He was about to say something but quickly shut up when he heard the tone of his voice. He slowly relaxed against his and rested his head on his shoulder. He wanted to stay awake but his exhausted body wouldn't allow it and he quickly fell asleep in his partners arms, enjoying the soft warmth that came with it. This sort of thing was strange to him, allowing someone else to protect him when he felt he was capable of taking care of himself. Maybe that would be his downfall but he was glad Aaron was there.

It took a bit for the sun to go down, but when it eventually did, Aaron went on high alert. Out in the distance and all through the night, he could hear the howling of the wolves. His grip tightened, more for his own peace of mind then anything. They had come close, at one point the orcs could be heard just next to the cave. They weren't too bright though and skipped over the cave completely. By the the time midnight rolled around, it seemed like they were a good ways away and when the sun started rising again, the sounds were almost completely replaced by those of morning birds and insects. Aaron was grateful for the sun, the light reflecting off the water and into part of the cave. He felt a bit warmer as the crisp night air dissipated and was replaced by that of the warm daytime. Yawning, he gently shook Ahdeth to wake him up so they could continue.
Ahdeth (played by Chibidoitsu98)

Ahdeth shifted as he felt Aaron shake him. He groaned and sat up,yawning as he slowly woke up. He looked around then blinked as he remembered he was sitting in Aaron's lap. He stood and stretched his arms above his head, looking up as he felt his fingers graze rough stone,"Oh yeah..."he mumbled and peeked out of the cave,"Did you hear anything last night?"he asked softly and slowly sat back down besides him. He grabbed the bag of food they had luckily grabbed before they escaped and handed Aaron some of the food as he bit into a small peach he had grabbed for himself.

"Just the same old, they're still out there, but we can't cower in here for the rest of our lives." He stood hunched over, the top of the cave a bit low for him. He took some nuts and shoved them in his mouth before going to the mouth of the cave. He looked out and, seeing nothing in the immediate area, dove into the water. Leaving he cloak on the ground as he did so, he figured it would be good for him while he was here and while it was warm to take a nice bath to wake him up. The water was much colder then the air and when he came back up again he felt completely rejuvenated. He ran a hand through his wet hair, getting it out of his face before he propped himself into the cave entrance. He stood on a rock and was just tall enough to be able to put his head in his arms. "That was great, you should try it." He grinned, the cold of the water and the warm of the air creating a perfect temperature. "It'll wake you right up."
Ahdeth (played by Chibidoitsu98)

Ahdeth watched him with a chuckle then stood, tossing peach core to the side. He pulled off his shirt as well as his boots before he dove under the water. He popped up with a gasped,"Yeah i'm awake now."he said and swam over to Aaron,"Good idea."he smiled a bit then hoisted himself out of the water. He pushed his wet hair to the side and cracked his shoulders as he felt rejuvenated as well. He waited until his upper half was dry before he pulled on his shirt. It seemed like today would be warm so he put the cloak away,"I have an extra shirt you can wear."he offered and held up a black shirt.
Aaron Brissenden (played by 60EndsToACircus) Topic Starter

He took the shirt but eyed it carefully,"I don't know, you are a lot smaller than I am..." He shrugged and slipped it on anyway. It definitely was tight but it would have I do. He couldn't exactly just stroll into a dwarven city shirtless. Fixing his hair he walked back to the mouth of the cave,"So, you ready? I think it's time we finally made our way to the city. We still have a while to go.." He scratched the back of his neck, not really wanting to think about the long journey ahead of them. They started on their road, being careful to make gaps in their trail to make it harder to track. After about an hour of silence Aaron spoke softly,"So, if you could...'teleport' this whole time, why exactly are we walking to the city?"
Ahdeth (played by Chibidoitsu98)

Ahdeth nodded and followed Aaron out of the cave, holding back a chuckle as he noticed how tight the shirt was on him. He walked behind him, swords clanking by his side as he hummed quietly, eyes glancing all around. He glanced at Aron once he asked the question and took a moment to think,"Indeed it would be helpful but i've only used it a few times. It makes me incredibly weak and tired plus...I have to visualize the place we are teleporting to. If I knew what this dwarven city looked like perhaps I could have just done that but..."he shrugged. He placed his hands on the handles of his swords to keep them from making so much noise as he walked.

"Oh, that would explain why you were so deep in sleep last night." He chuckled and glanced over to him,"You were so cute." He teased, but to be honest, he kind of meant it. Ahdeth, even though he may be just as old Aaron himself, looked so much smaller and more vulnerable, sleeping like that in his arms. He sighed softly at the distinct memory. He felt safe next to Ahdeth, he trusted him. It was something that kind of scared him. It had only been a week or so that he knew this man, but already he was feeling comfortable in his company. Soon they came to the large plains that separated the two forests and in the distance you could see the top of the city. They were almost to the center of the territory, but they would have to cross this large expanse of flatlands first. Aaron only hoped that they would cross it before nightfall.
Ahdeth (played by Chibidoitsu98)

Ahdeth blushed brightly as he said the word "cute" and quickly became flustered,"W-what?!"he blinked and quickly looked away, rubbing his arm in embarrassment. It wasn't the first time he had been called cute but it felt different with Aaron. It made him even more embarrassed then normally. He made himself calme down and straightened up, glancing at Aaron but frowned when he noticed something. He stopped in front of Aaron and placed a hand on his hand then moved it towards his,"You're taller then me."he grumbled then turned and continued to walk.

He enjoyed flatland but that meant high danger since they could easily be seen now. Ahdeth did have a back up but it would cost a lot of energy to do it. He let out a sigh and kept his eyes forward, walking alongside his partner. ((Guess we know who the uke is! XD))

He raise an eyebrow when Ahdeth quickly measured the both of them. "And that irritates you?" He asked, laughing slightly. He walked next to Ahdeth, enjoying the heat of the day, but it was becoming a hassle in the shirt he was wearing. It was awfully tight, not to mention it was black, making it worse in the warm air. He glanced over at Ahdeth but just shrugged, the guy didn't seem to mind him shirtless, and he could put it back on when they got there, or at least when it became dark. He quickly pulled it off, throwing it over his shoulder as he walked. Instantly he felt much less constricted and much cooler. "You really just noticed I was taller than you?" It was a past subject, but he more he thought of it, the harder it came to believe. Sure, he wasn't exactly looking down on him, but they weren't exactly directly at eye level.
Ahdeth (played by Chibidoitsu98)

Ahdeth shrugged and glanced over when he noticed Aaron take off his shirt then looked forward, brushing his long blonde bangs out of his face,"Well I just never noticed I suppose."he shrugged again and pulled a waterskin from his bag and took a long sip before he handed it to Aaron, feeling refreshed and cool even in black clothing. He looked up at the clear blue sky and let out a sigh, closing his eyes as he walked and smiling a bit when he felt a large gust of wind hit them. He really did love flat grassy land where the cool wind blows all through the day so you could never be too hot. He took the waterskin back once Aaron had drank his fill and slipped it back into his bag.

It was a long and rather hot trek through the field. As night fell though, the entire plane cooled significantly. Aaron didn't particularly like the idea of sleeping out in the open, but it was what they were going to have to do. Aaron couldn't stay up another night just to get to the next forest edge. He had to rest at least a little. "We can't make a fire, but lets at least stop for a couple of hours." He sighed and looked over at Ahdeth,"honestly we can't really stay anywhere for long, they will catch up with us if we do." He sighed and decided to sit where there was a small hill, so at least the would be slightly covered, even if it wasn't much. Opening up their pack, he took out some more of those nuts he had eaten this morning, realizing he hadn't eaten all day and he was starving.
Ahdeth (played by Chibidoitsu98)

Ahdeth flopped onto the ground and spread out, letting out a long yawn,"Yeah...sounds like the best idea..."he mumbled as he spread his arms out, enjoying the light warmth of the setting sun. He rolled onto his side in the soft grass and tensed up as a piece of grass tickled his nose and made him sneeze. He sat up, rubbing his nose in discomfort and looked over as he noticed Aaron only eating a few nuts. He tossed the bag of food over to him, finding himself not to be too hungry.

Once it began to get darker Ahdeth got up and began to find wood for the fire. He decided to set it up this time and it didn't take long before a fire was going. It wasn't too big because he didn't want it to be too noticeable but thats as good as it gets with fire.

By the time Ahdeth got back with the firewood Aaron was already asleep. He shifted slightly when there was a sudden change in temperature, going from the cold to the warmth from the fire. It was only a little later that he heard the howling of coyotes in the distance that he finally shot upright, the knife in his hands. Of course, the howling was very far away, and wasn't coming after them. He fell back onto the grass again, spreading out his arms. There was no way he was going back into sic a deep sleep again that night. He felt the cloak fall from his shoulders and instantly he was cold again, but he couldn't remember putting it on in the first place. He looked over to Ahdeth who was looking back,"thanks," he mumbled before handing the cloak back to him. "Here, you should get some sleep now."
