Ahh, October.

Anyone else excited for this year's Halloween? I know I am. I remember that Halloween is one of the amazing occasions with all these forum games and incredible items here in RPR.

While we might not have any idea what surprises the admins and moderators might have in store for us, maybe we can guess or, at least, come up with what we think would be a great idea for an event this year! Who knows, maybe if one of them stumbles upon here, our ideas here could come as an inspiration. Maybe us members could hold Halloween contests of our own too.

So what Halloween events, ideas, or promotions do you think would be fun to do here in RPR?

Halloween tends to be roughly the same with trick-or-treat threads, but since Kim is buried in updating the site, it's possible we won't have an official event this year. But that doesn't mean folks can't still run with the idea.

I usually run a rune casting thread, but I don't think I'll have time to roll the bones this year.

It's possible someone could hold movie nights over rabbit?

Rabbit is officially dead and gone, sadly. And the replacement... hasn't been working too well, at least not for a friend and I.

Every year, I especially look forward to the Writing Contests. I did a Trick-or-Treat thread with one of my characters here. Thats was so much fun!

I remember doing the same writing contests in other places and it was so much fun playing around with ideas.

One website had us go write in pairs. The writing contest gave a bunch of themes for us to do, and each theme there were various writing prompts that we had to use. We posted if we were interested and people would come message you if they want to pair up.

Prizes were awarded according to different categories: most scary, funny, twisted plots, etc.

This will be my first Halloween on RPR and I'm excited to see what people come up with!! It's my favorite time of the year.

I was telling Kruhee yesterday that I wished spooky season lasted until mid-November before the year end holidays come rushing in and taking over everything.

How do the Trick-or-Treat threads work? I remember seeing a few of them last year, but I was so new at that point that I didn't get involved with any of them.

They're just a bunch of Halloween-themed RPs, mostly about trick-or-treating, and they're commonly universe-crossing one-offs that are an excuse for a bunch of random characters to meet.

When we have the official thing going, every host gets a special accolade, and every visitor to a trick-or-treat thread gets a special accolade (and yes, you can get both). I think they get recognized by having the subject start with "Trick-or-Treat."

heck yes massive crossover! Im all for it. My country doesnt do Halloween and this will be my first on RPR! ahahaha my characters all look spooky but when i wear a human skin? even scarier lol

I might do a "meet and greet" rp with Adelia. Allowing characters to meet. I wonder if I should do 2. One general and one more for adults...

Trick or treat the forums is planned to go forward as usual. I may not personally trick or treat quite as many threads, but that should be the only difference anyone notices.

I'm officially star-struck. Hello, Kim, and thank you for visiting us here! You may already know this, but we're really so glad we have you doing the "everything" for RPR. I know you're busy but it's heartening to hear we'd get the writing events still. A whole lot of people love Halloween and now it just got a whole lot better.

Speaking of past trick-or-treat threads, the one I hosted was a couple years ago. One of my characters, Triston, did one using their old fire station. Now I'm thinking who I'm going to use this year...
