I know it has been a long time since any of you have heard from me! Life has an interesting way of getting busy.
I started a new job, got a new place, and got married. Honestly, I haven't RPed or done any writing in several months. On top of just regular stuff happening, I usually come home, spend the evening with my husband, and go to bed. I love spending time with him, but I'm also starting to miss writing. Nanowrimo is coming up and I'm super excited, but I'm also concerned I might be rusty.
It's just...the whole work-life-writing balance is a lot harder than I thought it would be.
It happens! The last time I switched jobs, I ended up taking almost a year off from RP. Just took awhile to find a new routine and to not be mentally whipped from learning so much new stuff.

So with the triple whammy you've got going on, I'm actually surprised you're already looking to jump back in. :) Congrats on all of those things, btw!
Having a new job myself has caused my to RP almost not at all in the past month and a half as well. And it's funny (funny/strange) how you don't realize it's going to happen until it does, and then you're like... "Wooooah. My life is so full now."
I totally get it. I'm going to be nanowrimo this year for the third time myself. It's a great way to get back into writing :)

I'm a 'planster' so I'll be plotting my novel out for nano relatively soon.

Sometimes you just gotta jump back on the horse :D

Congradulations on all those achievements.
First of all, welcome back! Second, congratulations on all those wonderful goodies and level-ups you’ve done accomplished. Third, I really really relate to that, as it happened to me as well.

I think I left RPR for almost a year as I got busy with transferring to a new job and a new house, and that would definitely eat up anyone’s time and energy. Writing requires a whole lot of concentration and our inspiration depends on our mood and energy levels.

But it’s good to have you back again. I feel like writing is like the ever cliche “riding a bike”. You might think you’ll hurt yourself, especially if it’s a new bike, but once you have your hands on the handle and you take one, two, three kicks to the pedal, you’ll find yourself up to speed and enjoying the flow of words blowing your hair in the wind.
I think I messaged you once but never got round to actually RPing with you as you were just leaving to do those things, good to hear from you again!
