did any one else get effected by the PGE shuting down power to millions of people?

Is any one else angery at PGE?

Is there any thing we can do about it?

When was this shut down? Day/time wise that is?

I've been lucky thus far to not have experienced it.

You shoud have been given a warning, for them shutting off power (if that was what they did, not a natural cause outage). You should have had to provide either an e-mail and or phone number, so they can send you warnings that they need to shut off the power.

However. IF it was a NATURAL caused power outage, we do have old power grids etc sadly, then there isn't much to be done about it.
I think they should have a list of all the counties being affected now, Somewhere on the PG&E site. My county was advised that it could happen, and we were told it would be off anywhere from a day to five days. But we still have power and aren't on the list. I'd try to see if you can check the site, if there's no list then at most you should be able to put in your zip code and find out.

But you for sure should have been notified, either through text or the local news.
No, PGE shut off power for a lot of people. They gave like a day notice.
I have a friend who suffered from this. They're pretty ticked off.
PG&E usually give advanced notice if they're gonna shut off the power like this for their Public Safety Power Shutoff events. They announced last week that it was possible that the power was going to be turned off this week and then confirmed it would actually happen about three to four days in advanced.

If you're a customer to PG&E, you should've gotten an email or text. If you're not a customer (such as if you're a renter and don't pay a bill directly to them), you can still sign up for alerts by going to their website and sign up for notifications. Even if you don't have notifications, you can always check their Twitter page as they announced it on there leading up to and during the outage as well. And of course, it's been all over the local news.

Unfortunately, there's nothing we can do. They're still going to shut off the power to limit the potential of their equipment starting wildfires. So unless government steps in, we're just stuck with dealing with the outages when they do turn off the power.
From what I was seeing in news, they turned off the power in numerous locations due to risk of wildfire, because last year they were sued when their outdated infrastructure caused wildfires.

I didn't see if they're actually trying to fix said outdated infrastructure or not. Clearly they need to.
The outage was grueling, I'm up by the northern end of the state and ours shut down early Wednesday, came back late last night! I spent most of the first day out of town, yesterday afternoon at a friend's when their power came back before ours.

We were warned a day prior. PG&E's website crashed often when I tried to access it, and even when it didn't, the "Estimated Return Date and Time" lists constantly read "To Be Determined". I ended up emptying out the fridge I just stocked last week. But yesterday evening, I saw more people panhandling for help in the streets, some had it extremely rough. At least I had preparations in place to keep our pets cozy, and my daughter and I used the school shutdown as an excuse to take a trip to an aquarium, visit new places, and get to know new people. It was a frustrating experience, so I tried to turn it into "Fun new adventures!" for my little.

I didn't know what it was but I don't think it's at my place in europe.

Nah, "CA" is the abbreviation of California in the US.

And so far, I've heard about one person dying from the outage for lack of power for his oxygen machine.
