"Where do you want this?" the blue alien creature asked Pix, holding up with one tentacle the hanging humanoid skeletal decoration before her. While the blue skin and eyes surrounding his entire body shine through the holes made to host them, the rest of the bulbous head of the Navin creature is now encased in a pumpkin, clearly a costume they (or someone else) had chosen for this event.

Pix, on the other hand, wore a black gothic dress stretching all the way to the floor, hiding even her feet. The pointed hat on her head made clear the costume she had chosen for the event, she was a witch. She stood in a corner, working to affix a cluster of cobwebs onto an endtable with a ceramic skull set upon it, rather unsuccessfully at that. She stopped and glanced over at the creature, and with a gesture of her head she nodded towards a far wall, "Just hang it over there somewhere," she replies with a slight irritation in her voice.

As the creature manipulates their tentacles over in the direction of the wall suggested, they speak, "Exactly why again are we celebrating a human holiday?"

"I already told you, humans have money," Pix responds with a smirk, doing further combat with the cobwebs now coating her hands, as well as much of her short forearms. "Besides, this planet has more than just humans."

As the skeletal figure is hung on the wall by way of a stretched tentacle, Pix has seemingly had it with the cobwebs. Casting her arms back and forth theatrically she raises her voice, "DANG this stuff, what is this made out of?" The webbing mostly falling into the corner table, she gives up and turns around back towards the bar in the center of the room, cursing something under her breath in her own language. She desperately tries to remove the tangled cobwebs from her arms as she walks, eventually giving up and leaving several strands still dragging upon her.

"Alright," she announces, grabbing the broom prop for her costume from the bar and circling around it to stand in the center, now staring directly at the only entry exit to the bar. "Cue the lights and music!" she calls out, and the Navin makes his way to the end of the bar, activating a few buttons beneath, lowering the lights and activating a few strobes in the outside corners. The howling screams of horror are heard intermittently placed with the sounds of wind and creaking as the 'music' begins to play, helping to set the ambiance of the impending party. Her head turns to the side and she watches as the two bartenders exit the kitchen entrance, just on time having heard the call to arms.

"Unlock the door!" Pix shouts with her arms, broom included, upwards in a V shape, "Let the Halloween party begin!"

Greetings! I thought to prepare for the spirit of Halloween, and trick or treat the forums event, I'd host a little Halloween party on the forums for our characters to enjoy!

The setting is on some world with lots of aliens and other creatures, so nearly any character is welcomed to join in on the Halloween bash! While my two characters and the setting are set up in a sci fi sort of manner, any character is welcome, be it fantasy, sci fi, historical, horror....you name it it's welcome to attend the party, and this is why I have chosen to place it in general forums!

Rules? not many....be respectful, don't godmod, and obey forum rules! Overall lets just have a good time and rp some Halloween fun in a laid back casual fun little rp!

I will retain control of both my characters Pix, and a random Navin alien I have not yet named (might/probably will name them in the rp at some point).........That being said, there are two servers that are up for grabs so everyone can order drinks and food without me having to play bartender all the time. You're welcome to place an order with Pix or the Navin, or even the new girl Sarah (played by StaticNightmares) but don't feel obligated, the servers are open for anyone to control and get themselves whatever drink or food they desire (at a fair price of course ^_^). Any other NPC's within the bar are also welcome to anyone to create/control.

Don't forget your costume!!!!
It's not an obligation, but it sure would be fun to see some characters walk in with a chosen costume :)
'Arieo' Leonarieo (played by nightmqre)

Arieo here wasn't much for social gatherings, nor was she much for holidays or Halloween either. Considering she spent most of her year behind a coffee shop counter working day and night even through the holidays, she never really celebrated much. However, this year her father had begged her to go enjoy herself at this party because she was slowly losing her young life and he wanted her to enjoy it while she could. She had agreed under the terms if she could persuade the host to allow her to work there as something, and so she managed to land herself a job as a batista. Despite her refusals, her father had also made her dress up despite her claiming to be too old. Her chocolate brown hair was as it always was; neatly brushed with most of it allowed to flow down, with two space buns sat atop of her head. Her circular glasses still sat perfectly on the bridge of her nose, her tinted red eyes glowing and standing about against her freckled and pale skin. She stood at 5'5.

Her costume looked warm and comfortable. She wore tight, fitted black leggings with brown walking boots that hit her ankles. A brown belt hung loosely around her waist, holding a few props such as daggers and what looked to be a small bottle of green liquid. Her white blouse was baggy and hung off of her shoulders, ruffled at the ends of her sleeves. Over that she wore a transparent black top, laced at the arms. She had a brown-Redish bandana on her head as well, completing her somewhat pirate look.

She stood outside waiting, having been there for a while already. She did not socialise or look at another soul, standing there unsure and slightly nervous. When the doors opened she seemed to almost rush inside, ducking behind the bar and almost immediately relieving herself of the unimaginable amount of air she had been holding in her lungs for that extended period of time. Now she just had to get over the small anxiety of meeting new.people, but she knew it would probably simply be her standing there all night handing out drinks and food or whatever to everyone.

And she was okay with that.
Avi realized as she landed outside the bar that she probably looked really, really weird doing so.

Normally, the smallish avian creature had somewhat impressive landings, venting compressed, combusting hydrogen from her open-tipped wing feathers, but right now those wings, along with her bird-like tail, were under invisibility. It probably looked like the thrust trails were coming from nowhere. Also, she kinda looked like a bug. Kinda.

While she kept her warm, sunset-type colour scheme with her mostly orange body, violet chest and belly, yellow beak, and long crimson crest, the elaborate illusions, magical shell, and holographic projections gave her an almost insectoid appearance compared to the usual bird-like form. Feathers were hidden away under a sleek, smooth carapace which also shaped her limbs to seem a bit more arthropod-like, her crest was pinned against her head and back to make it look like she had a long, triangular marking down her back rather than the narrow, hair-like feathers of her crest, an extra pair of eyes adorned her head, slightly down and back from her temples, her beak had small protrusions, almost like fangs or mandibles along its now more jagged length, and her wings, tail, and cybernetic left forearm were.... mostly hidden away.

They "clipped" through some of the illusions, though, making nearly pixilated seeming staticcy or glitchy areas around where they cut through. A few inches of tail were visible extending off her hips before "disintegrating" away, and the same went for her large wings, though they rippled the air behind her even where bits of them weren't visible, and pixily forms danced around the fin of her cannon-like cyber-arm, the end of the barrel looking like a whit, ceramic cuff around the wrist of the illusionary hand.

What wasn't an illusion was the sleek, almost-too-black bodysuit-like corset which hugged her torso, down to around her hips and extending a bit further at the front and back. Just non-black enough to make the elegant lines of her (appropriately) slightly wasp-waisted body easy to see, but black enough to make it impossible to tell if the material had any pattern at all. It laced up at the back, making the "marking" of her flattened-down crest partially visible along her spine, and the two "tails" of the garment parted over the base of her actual tail, one layer of them simply flowing down an eighth of the way down her thighs, and the under layer looping up under her legs. There was some lacing over her arched chest as well, leaving it open down the middle about halfway down the arch in a way that showed the valley between her impressive flight muscles, and there was a peak of material pointed down at her front, looping down to the inside layer of tail at the back and letting the sides ride higher and show the full lengths of her legs.

She had planned the look diligently, despite not coming up with what this disguise actually was. She liked it, though.

Coming into the bar, she took a look around to see who might be interesting to talk to. After making sure to remember a few... and marking them on her HUD, the more arachnid than usual Avitra walked over to the bar. The pirate-looking lady tending it seemed shy, but also cute and in need of a chatty birdy, er... buggy, to help her liven up.

"Mind telling me what's on special, quartermaster?" Avitra asks with a giggle at her own little joke as she pulls herself up onto a stool, "I figured I should get a drink myself before someone buys me something less interesting."
Xa'Taren (played by Riik)

"Halloween party, huh?" Xá's eyes remained fixed upon the signage outside the establishment, a hand placed firmly under his mildly-muzzled chin. "Shame I don't have a costume..." Xá loved to socialise whilst he had the time. And bars? Well whilst alcohol was not something he was particularly fond of, the atmosphere alone was enough for him. Even amongst tough crowds of burly mercenaries, he was very much happy - though he had a tendency to make such people unhappy with his goofish ways. Thankfully, a place such as this seemed to be one in which his goofish behaviour would actually be welcome. After all, what would halloween be without goofiness?

Xá was wearing as little as he always did. A few side-arms, a large rifle upon his back, belts and sashes to support said items and a red scarf made up the bulk of his outfit, a bracer-mounted computer upon one of his forearms completing the rest. His fur-covered body had no need for further modesty, and this was one of the few occasions he actually felt like he was lacking something in his choice of outfit. Maybe if I just bare my teeth a little more than normal, I might look like some sort of beast... the biological construct thought to himself.

Wound around one leg and up the fluffy biped's torso was some sort of strange semi-transparent blue jelly-like... rope? Vine? Tail? Perhaps the latter was the best description, as it's uppermost end was perched atop Xá's shoulder. A small jelly orb was clasped to the being's furry collar with two tiny stumpy-fingered hands, orb-like red eyes staring unblinkingly ahead in an almost blind-like manner. A tiny coin-slot-shaped gap acted as a mouth for the blob, itself not moving even as the creature spoke. All of the acoustic requirements of producing speech instead seemed to occur somewhere within the channel beyond.

"I could be your costume," the jelly piped up in its usual high-pitched voice filled with mischievous energy. Xá had a habit of collecting all manner of alien species as his crew, partners, pets or followers. In this instance, it was just Nil who was accompanying him - a sentient shape-changing jelly.

"I appreciate the offer, but everyone can see straight through you," Xá pointed out. "I don't think it'd work out." He patted his squishy friend on the head. With no organs or flesh to protect, Nil's body was not at all bothered by concepts such as pain. Thus, they were entirely indifferent to the momentary deformation of their shape.

"Can we just go inside anyway?" The jello requested of its current walking, talking vehicle. "Maybe they'll let you borrow a mask or something."

"Or a hat," Xá considered, rubbing his chin. "Like a top hat!"

"That doesn't sound very Halloween," Nil responded. "But then what do I know?"

"Marginally less than me, I wager," Xá said. "I don't think I've ever attended a Halloween party before."

"Never too late to start," Nil offered. "Come on, you big hairy lump, get in there."

Xá sighed in indifference. "Since you asked nicely," he teased, before stepping inside.

Distracted by the decorations, Xá's movements were slow and delayed as entered. Meanwhile, in an excited attempt to find fun of their own, Nil hopped down from Xá's shoulder, their 'tail' following them after their leap like a bungee cord. There was a wet splat as their jelly head impacted with the ground, flattening on the floor into an unevenly-shaped puddle. The tail landed on top of them in a coil until there was no more left of it hanging off Xá. For a moment, the jelly looked somewhat dead, before its body suddenly reformed into a rough sphere shape. Eight spindly pointed legs emerged from its body as a series of eight red eyes faded into existence on the side Nil had chosen as their 'front' for this particular shape. The usual coin-slot-like mouth opened up under the eyes, leaving a cartoonishly simplified jelly spider standing by Xá's feet. Xá wasn't sure of Nil's exact size as present, but he knew that the jelly could reach a height of 2'2" when taking a humanoid form. Nil still retained the same volume as they always did, but given their spherical dimensions, they were currently a rather long way off that particular figure at present.

"There, my costume is sorted. I'm going to see what kind of booze they have," the spider said excitedly.

"Just don't drink too much now," Xá warned.

"Alcohol doesn't intoxicate me," the spider boasted, standing taller in a proud posture. "I can't really taste it either but I bet I'd look cool drinking it."

Xá shrugged. he was aware of the jelly's indifference towards whatever kind of chemical energy it absorbed. "Well have fun. I'll be around for a while. I'll let you know when I plan to leave."

"Not if I plan to leave first," Nil one-upped Xá playfully. And with that, the two unusual companions went their separate ways. Nil towards the bar, whilst Xá began slowly circling the room to more closely examine the decorations and perhaps do some mingling.
'Arieo' Leonarieo (played by nightmqre)

After having ducked inside, the nervous woman had made sure to familiarise herself with the bar layout and set up. She began to memorise the labels and positioning of the difront beverages and alcohol, as well as figuring out what different types of glasses she had been equipped with and when they were also located. She managed to collect this information in a speedy time. After having done so and gone over everything two or three times, she leaned against the wooden counter and put her hands on her face. She began to mentally prepared herself for the worst.

It was only a matter of time, she told herself, before someone sooner or later would want a drink or something food. Therefore she would be threatened with a chance of socialising and awkward conversation, which she visibly hated. Nethertheless, she took a deep breath and stood up straight againot.

She looked around for a moment before turning around so her front was no longer on display. She lifted up her black transparent over shirt and reached up, rolling up her blouse sleeves. She hated having something fully covering her arms for whatever strange reason. She let the over shirt fall back down before she turned back around and let out a soft breath. Despite her girls young and skinny appearance, she certainly did not lack muscle. She had quite a bit of it on her arms, and probably her stomach and legs too. From what was indistinguishable at a glance, but it was there Nethertheless.

She failed to notice the creature strolling towards her as she stared off blankly somewhere else before the voice pulled her from her wandering thoughts. She barely caught what was said before she took in what this creature was and she immediately felt more intimidated. She didn't know why, she just did. She mustered up any confidence that hadn't already melted away and tried to speak to portray it.

"As far as I know, there's not much of a special. Just got ya typical alcohol beverages from what I've seen. Vodka, archer, stuff like that."

She saw another tiny create making its way over to the bar but she paid little to no attention to it. One person at a time. She thought. That'll make this much more bearable.
"Tequilla?" Avi asks, "Something a bit on the nicer end, not the cheap 'get me drunk' stuff. I like the taste of the agave!"

Despite her hard, sharp, and glitchy appearance, Avi's playful, sweet personality didn't seem to have been dampened in the slightest. If anything, the festive environment made her feel even more playful, not that the.... wonderfully toned looking barkeep would know. She would be just Avitra's type, wouldn't she? Okay, keep it cool, don't make her job harder, Avi thought to herself, trying to not get too distracted or excited. There were plenty of other people to talk to here, after all, and the girl smelled.... a bit like fear... Oops, maybe the buggy look was a bit much.

"Soooooo..... you excited for the festivities? I know you're working, but it seems like a lot of interesting costumes coming in," she asks friendlily, hoping to help lighten Sarah's mood a bit.
'Arieo' Leonarieo (played by nightmqre)

Sarah let out a small, light chuckle under her breath at the comment, a delicate smile gracing her face at last. She used a finger to push her glasses back up onto the bridge of her nose before turning and grabbing a glass, before scanning a row and then grabbing the Tequila.

She turned around and began pouring it so she wasn't seeming rude as she listened to the creature speak. "Oh, certainly. I was unable to celebrate this time of the year much as a kid, and despite the fact I'm still working, it's nice to be able to take a break from the usual envoronment." She shrugged a little, placing the drink in front of her when it was finished and returning the liquor back to its place.

"First time dressing up this year too, courtesy of my father somehow convincing me to." She chuckled a little, seemingly becoming a little more comfortable.
Vincent (played by DazzlingDragon)

((Spooder birb, spooder blob, 'dey do whatever a spooder does~ 0o,,o0))

A long, grotesquely malnourished-looking beast hunches on top the roof, watching the party-goers with an eerie smile stretching across the entirety of its otherwise featureless face.

A Halloween party, huh? It's been awhile since it has gotten to attend one of those.

It flops down to lie along the roof and pretends to pick grit out from under its claws, cooing thoughtfully all the while as guests meander in and out. In and out.

Shall it go in?

Of courssse!

But how? That's a better question.

Although Vjncent can shapeshift itself into about any costume it wants, it figures- after a long while of lying there figuring -it'd be most appropriate to enter as the self its been stuck with for centuries at this point. This is a Halloween costume party, after all, and no zombie, ghost, or scantily-clad cat woman could possibly be more terrifying than the visage of its own "natural" form.

Saving the tricks for later, the Alien-esque creatures leaps off the roof and slinks through the doorway, scuttling in on all fours after the person entering ahead.

Once inside, it pushes up to its hind feet to take a look around....and hits its oversized head on the ceiling.

"Ow!" Vincent snarls in response more to the surprise than the pain, of which it felt very little.

Then naturally, it overreacts by recoiling and throwing its head into its hand, pretending to nurse a nonexistent sore spot. All this for the purpose of putting the other party guests at ease, for its own self-interest. Obviously.

It resumes its routine of scouting out the party back on all fours to avoid another "injury," and finds its way to the bar where several interesting guests seem to be congregating. It sidles up next to the bright orange spider-like person and listens in on her conversation with the shy bartender, all while watching an adorable blue blob with spindly spider legs approach the counter. So many spidersss!

It smiles at the thing in greeting. "Hello."
"That's awesome! My first time celebrating this, too. Not a thing where I'm from, obviously," Avi says with a polite nod as she takes the glass.

She swirls it under her slightly-open beak, letting the scent waft up into it to let her taste the vapours. It was a silver tequila, but a nice one, with enough flavour to stand by itself. Perfect.

"Your costume is amazing, by the way. Clear what you're going for, practical, and with a nice splash of style, too!" The 'bug like' creature churrs happily in a very, very bird-like way before emptying the shot into her beak. She let it rest under her tongue for a few seconds before swallowing and asking, "Do you like mine? I mean, I cheated a little and made it all out of holographic overlay and a mage-armour spell, but I think I still made it look neat."

Avitra could almost feel the tension unwinding. Helping someone get more comfortable always made her feel happy, and this was no exception. The short lips off the base of her beak curl into a happy smile, and she can't help but hum a bit. This was going to be the best night ever!.
Nil (played by Riik)

As the jelly spider approached the bar, it was by no means deterred by climb that awaited it. The jelly creature had no trouble sticking to the surfaces as it climbed effortlessly until finally, it stood atop the counter. There wasn't really much else it could do to reach the required height to be served, after all. Not without distorting its desired shape.

"Yo, whatup, it's ya boiiii~" Nil introduced themselves. They weren't actually a male in any sense of the designation; it just felt like the most amusing way to introduce themselves. "What's an arachnid got to do to get some booze around here?" They asked through their unmoving 'mouth'. "Is it just me, or am I missing something?"

There was a pause as the jelly with no indication of anywhere on its person to store currency seemed to think. Then its face lit up with realisation. "Oh, of course, how silly of me!" And with that, a pair of simplified blunt little mandibles stretched out of its head to flank its poor excuse for a mouth. "There. So much better."

Nil didn't realise that they were not the only patron to arrive with an insectoid visage. They did not 'see' in the traditional sense. Even their eyes were an illusion of colouration, which they only knew themselves on account of the laboratory testing they had been subject to for a large portion of their existence. They knew they had created the illusion of eight 'red' eyes, but could not actually perceive the colours themselves beyond the fact that others identified them as 'red'. Because of their perception of the world through vibrations and sound, holographic images were lost on them. They could only sense the surfaces that sound waves and atmospheric currents bounced off of and travelled through. It allowed near-perfect sense of the shape of every object in the entire room, but not the colour or detailing thereof.
'Arieo' Leonarieo (played by nightmqre)

The delicate smile continued to defend it's place on the woman's lips as she listened to the creatures words again, turning slightly shy at the compliments. She giggled softly without really meaning to, "I'm glad it's clear and stylish." She chuckled. "I do! Cheating or not, definitely a creative way to craft such a thing. Looks awesome, too."

After seeing two of the other creatures stroll up and take a seat, she held up a finger to the lady she was talking to, as if silently asking her to wait a moment before they continued their pleasant conversation.

She turned to the two others, filled with a tad bit more confidence now than she had been before. Maybe coming here wasn't such a bad idea at all, and for once perhaps her old man was right. Shaking her head slightly, she focused on the two new people.

"What can I get cha both? "
Nil (played by Riik)

Nil didn't need much time to think on things. "Whatever is the coolest drink you have," they said proudly. "And by cool, I mean... you know... cool.... not cold."

Even with the increase in number of patrons gathering at the bar, Nil managed to keep some of their attention on Xá, mostly monitoring where the furball was travelling as he made his way around the room. If the question of money was to come up, they might well need him, after all. He was the one with the credit chip, after all. Not that Nil couldn't carry their own currency. It just made shape-changing a little less convenient to do so. And spoiled their image somewhat, as much as they couldn't technically see it.
Vincent (played by DazzlingDragon)

Vincent watches Nil ascend to the countertop with a leering grin plastered onto its face, and then parted its lips to respond to their greeting when the pirate-girl addresses the two of them with a friendliness Vincent hasn't been blessed with for a long, long time.

Its smile fades as it stares at her, face literally going blank while it struggles to form a response. Then, falling back on its usual habits, the beast's toothy grin springs back to life and it points at a furry creature passing them by while exploring the venue.

"I'll take that one, if it's available. Ssshort of that, hmmm...your left arm will do." It swings its arm around to jab a talon toward her arm, and waits for a reaction, the smile not once faltering.

Then after waiting long enough for her to come to the conclusion it might not be kidding, it buckles over in uproarious laughter.

"Don't worry. I'm not hungry tonight, what a ssshocker," it muses, sounding legitimately surprised all the sudden.
'Arieo' Leonarieo (played by nightmqre)

She nods at the small blob thing, before looking over at the creature Vincent pointed at. "Er-" She seemed confused for a moment, before suddenly jumping back slightly, her confidence immediately being drained from her body and her heart as her brow furrowed.

When it began laughing, her heart sank, and her face paled even more than it already was. She quietly cursed at herself under her breath, her shiulders slumping for a moment before she sighed and began fixing the blob a random glass of alcohol. She wasn't sure what it was or if it was the 'coolest' but she assumed this thing didn't know any better.

She theneeds placed the drink in front of the blob creature and sighed, glancing at Vincent. "Like I said. Can I get you anything?" She tried to ignore his actions from earlier, even if they still lingered in the back of her mind, making her slightly wary.
The twisted creature's threat set Avitra on edge for a moment. Even once it starts its laughter, she remains perturbed. That thing reminded her a liiiittle too much of someone else who liked to posture in the same way, making or implying threats they could legitimately carry out, and would if things started going a way that wasn't theirs.

At least this one wasn't loaded with enough enchantments to shrug off orbital fire.

Still, she kept her eyes on the creature. She liked people, and knew and accepted that people had different ways of being themselves, but that kind of humour, even with the spooky setting, made her a biiit worried. It would be worth keeping watch.
Vincent (played by DazzlingDragon)

Anyone else would feel bad for undoing all the confidence a young girl had gained over the past several minutes, but at seeing the pallor of her nervous face and the way she now eyes it so warily, Vincent's smile turned absolutely radiant.

But it doesn't want to get thrown out of the party just yet, so it takes the respectable course of action and apologizes. It bows its head and places a gnarled hand on its chest. "Sssorry, I'm just yankin' yer chain, matey." Hopefully, its masterful slip into pirate-speak, inspired by the bartender's darling costume, will help put her back at ease.

"I won't take any booze just yet, just here fer the conversation." It leans forward, crossing its long arms over the counter and drops the seaworthy accent. "Call me anything you want, but I usssed to go by Vincent." Then it trails off, waiting for her to reply in kind.

Or scream and throw something at it. That happens, sometimes.
'Arieo' Leonarieo (played by nightmqre)

She let our a quiet sigh as she rubbed her forehead and nodded at its apology. The color slowly returned to her face as she let our another sigh nodded again, acknowledging the fact that it didn't want a drink or a bite to eat yet. She dropped her hands to her sides and clenched her fists, before unclenching them.

Usually, she wouldn't introduce herself to anyone, but for some reason she felt the urge to. She seemed to be somewhat trying to avoid eye contact but eventually just looking at the creature before her anyway.

"Sarah." Despite her slight scare, her voice was still soft and if not a little quiet. She pushed her glasses back up her nose again, itching she cheek as she did so.
Pix Feir-Sil (played by Alien_Princess) Topic Starter

Pix smiled largely looking about at everyone entering. Man were some of these odd looking aliens, a fact she rather liked, generally speaking. Her smile wavered quite fast when she watched Vincent slam their head into the roof, watching as the poor thing held its head in pain. While she was certainly empathetic to its accidental injury, she took an examination of the roof from the distance to make sure it hadn't caused any damage.

A small blobby spider critter popped onto the bar nearby, advertising itself in a friendly way and Pix regained her smile. The little thing was darling. Before she could manage to respond, Sarah interjected, and Pix stared at her a moment handling the customers quite well. 'She will do fine,' Pix thought to herself, 'I'll teach her the fine points of price gouging later.'

Her head turns the other way and she watches her Navin friend on the other side of her, behind the bar operating several tentacles to serve multiple customers at once. They made great employees for their ability to multitask, it was like hiring 3 or 4 employees rolled into one.

Looking down and smiling to herself, Pix decides to play the witch she had researched prior to this engagement. She pulls the broom around behind her and holds it behind her, then leaning back and setting on the broomstick while simultaneously lifting it, and herself, off the ground by pressing energy from her feet into the ground, and slightly against the broom to keep it posted to her rear.

She begins to fly off, wondering if an attempt to cackle was too much. Her girlish voice probably couldn't pull it off anyway. As she passes behind Sarah and her little group, she hears Vincent's 'threat', openly identifying it as a Halloween joke.

"Hey!" Pix hollers as she floats up next to the girl, slamming her hand on the bar for good measure. She then points a finger right at Vincent with a serious face, "No eating the employees..." Its a mere second after saying this her straightened face delights into a large smile and clearly amused demeanor.

"After we close, on the other hand....well tomorrow is pay day," she said with a large smile over at Sarah, "One less on the payroll won't bother me at all!"

With that she floats her broom off around the bar with an attempted cackle of great theatrics. Of course, the higher pitched girlish voice of a Voldarian doesn't do the scene justice at all, and her evil laugh comes off more like childish maniacal laughter instead.

She proceeds around the bar and into the crowd, a limit green glow beneath her as she floats around sitting in a broom stick. Human holidays, Pix was already starting to like them.
Xa'Taren (played by Riik)

As Nil stretched out a wibbly straw-like appendage below their mouth to poke into the drink offered to them, Xá finally approached the bar. Deciding to leave Nil to their own mingling, Xá's attention followed that of everyone else and focused upon Sarah. The furball's grinning mouth opened in a large smile, the friendliness of the gesture somewhat hampered by the sharp feline-like teeth hidden within.

"So you've come as a human, huh?" Xá teased Sarah. "The scaaariest monster of them all!" He raised his arms and wiggled his fingers in the air. His attempt to put on a spooky voice was also hampered by his ambiguous androgynous voice that sat in the overlap between young adult woman and pre-teen male child. "I'm just kidding. You guys have got nothing on the Zimmerling Blobular of Myrlia VII. May its wibbly zoobliokt never strike upon you."

"I'll show you wibbly zoobliokt," Nil muttered, clearly embarrassed by Xá's goofy introduction to the scene. The beauty of being an amorphous blob was the ability to speak and drink simultaneously. Heck, if Nil wanted to, they could open multiple vocal slots along their person and mimic a horde of zombies. For now though, there wasn't much need.

"Yeah? I've seen your attempt at a blobular zoobliokt," Xá teased the jelly. "Looked more like an ilcylyon's penazibub."

"I'll have you know my zoobliokt is beautifully accurate," Nil countered with a 'hmph' motion. Their attention turned back to the drink. "Mm, this stuff is refreshing,"

"It could be swamp water for all you know," Xá pointed out, eyes momentarily glancing at Sarah. "Though I'm sure this fine establishment wouldn't serve such things. Don't let Nil here fool you. They couldn't taste a Librenian chilli potato let alone a cup of alcohol." He leaned in close and offered a whisper to Sarah. "Just serve them water or something, they wouldn't know the difference. Saves me having to fork out a small fortune at the end of the party." He winked playfully.
Well, if that's the sense of humour of the employer, I guess I can let it be, Avitra thought to herself, giggling out loud a bit.

Some dorky instinct was urging her to chase the broomstick riding witch.... if just because her sensor array was saying Pix's method of flight was not mana based, not tech based, not even psi based, but still looked thaumaturgic.

Screw it, she wouldn't ask about that, that seemed like a work question and it was party time.

Also, if she didn't want to flap her wings in here, which would make a mess, her flying would sound enough like a territorial vacuum cleaner to mess up the mood here. That said, she could follow on the ground like a normal person. Like, using her legs.

Set on that plan, she hopped off the stool and began following Pix around, curious about the bar's playful proprieter and wanting to take in her witchy antics.
