Kai: “So, just because I showed up late because I received a letter from a school HALFWAY ACROSS THE WORLD, doesn’t mean you get to bar me from the shade that I just so happen to need to survive.” He said, putting the rune back in his pocket.
Kai: “Yeah, ‘some sort.’ What about you? You don’t have any particularly odd features. At least, recognisable ones.” He said.
Adi decided to show him. She walked down the tree and to the ground. Her brown in her eyes changed to white and black souls floated around inside.
Kai: “...Great. Still doesn’t answer my question.” He said with a sigh. ((Ya said she was a very rare type, so...))
Kai: “How pleasant. You see, I wasn’t asking the specifics. For example, I’m a half icemeld, half brushwing. But you asked me if I was a vampire, and I’m asking you wether you are a elemental, demon, angel, vampire or shapeshifter.” He said.
Kai: “Right. Quite a lot of those here, eh?” He commented.
Kai: He nodded. “So, Uh... any clue what this is?” He handed her the rune he showed Malavon earlier.
Kai: He clenched his fists. “What else would it be?! I’m not ACTUALLY nine years old, stop treating me like a child!” He demanded.
Adi didn’t flinch.”GIVE ME TIME!” She yelled back at him. She climbed the tree with it.
((Ok ok. Chill.)) Adi smiled figuring it out.” It’s a Hagalaz. This is the rune of the unknown, of frightening and mysterious events. Sudden, disruptive things are about to occur and your life will be turned on its head of a while. You will have very little power to avert these happenings, which, like cold, arctic winds, will blow hard and confuse your senses with swirling sleet. This meaning cold be taken quite literally as a disruption to travel plans due to inclement weather conditions, but it is more likely that its interpretation goes beyond the merely literal. It is fortunate that the cold winds of icy reality that are set to blow will soon yield to the softer breezes of spring, so hope is implicit in the meaning of Hagalaz. All that you have to do is to sit out the storm and make sure that you wrap up warm. Hagalaz is also considered to be the rune of gamblers, especially those who risk a lot. Since it is the ninth in the Elder Futhark series, it has a correspondence with the number nine.” She explained.
((Hmmmmmmmmm, that doesn’t look copy pasted at all)) Kai: “...right, sure, but I doubt that’s IT. Look at the writing below it. That’s carved in. Such a crude carving would ruin a rune like this, but it’s still glowing.” He said. He wasn’t wrong either, the rune methodically shined yellow, then blue, then black. Then blue, then red, then repeat.
Adi nodded.”Sorry that all I got for you.” She said. She handed it back and stayed in her tree but climbed up further.
Kai: “Thanks for nothing, then.” He said with a sigh, putting it away.
Adi shrugged.”At least I gave you something more than what old man did.” She said.
Kai: “A ‘something’ I already had.” He said.
