"Here we are!" The man exclaimed as the profound sound of tides rising and crashing enveloped the two men. Their hair flow to the gales of wind hitting their faces. The gulls soared the skies while they chirped. It brought the duo an uncanny sense of freedom. "Never been to the beach yourself, ginger? Since ya' live in the country and all that bussiness."
It was... strange, at best. How could one person have such intense moodswings? Not even a teenager could grow out of a certain emotion before facing it. Varon stood in silence, watching the seemingly everstretching skies and seas beyond. His face lit up with a subtle cheer, valuing the sights as if it could comprehend a beauty everyone took for granted.
"Sometimes, I want to drop everything and travel the whole world. But the people I'd leave behind would be too hurt." He turns to look at Miles. "Maybe someday we'll meet face to face, y'know? It'd be grand to."

Miles felt a little out of place with the sounds of the sea and the gusts of wind that would play with his messy hair. It didn't feel normal for him to be at a place he wasn't used to being in. He was sure that that was how it was for most people, too. A change in scenery didn't effect him too much, despite how he was acting prior to even stepping outside. In all honesty, it was because he couldn't see what was out there. Now that he could and knew that it wasn't any form of danger, he was a bit more accepting toward exploring.
However, at his question, he gave s shake of his head. He's never been to the beach... He never found a need for it. Miles was a bit weirded out that someone could have such intense mood swings, though. He had gone from down in the dumps to his happy go lucky in the matter of seconds. How was that possible for a grown man to be so emotional?
But, as Varon had begun speaking again, he turned his head more in his direction. "I dunno why you'd want to deal with an asshole like me... Be my guest." He said with slight attitude, not as much as he would've originally had... But it was still there.

"Well, to be frank, we're in the same dream. How much closer do you want me to get?" Varon replied sarcastically. However, his wording could use some work, as it is possible to be leading to some... other ideas. "Ya' just have to loosen up a little, ginger. I can't probably be so bad a guy, am I?" The purple-haired tilts his head a bit, expecting Miles to either respond or simply turn away. He could tell the ginger felt confused, but about what? Their dream, the scenery, or Varon?
Even though he admits to want to meet him in person, Varon is still skeptical about Miles. Some of the things he's said or done, they're slightly offputting. But Varon wills himself to give the fiery-haired a fair opportunity.

"Loosen up a bit, hmm? I don't understand how you can be so trusting of another person you just met... You'll gst hurt that way." He mumbled, going to cross his arms over his chest as he looked out to the sea. It was a pleasant view, thats for sure. It was definitely distracting from the conversation at hand. Seriously... He couldn't understand Varon at all.
He turned his body more towards the flowing water, his arms dropping to his sides. "People are cruel. They put on a fake exterior and reveal their true colors once you're closest to them. It'd be nicer if we were all just like animals." He thought aloud, hardly even noticing he was speaking outloud in the first place.

Varon fell silent as he stood motionless, processing the information, there's a beat, and he reacts unexpectingly. "Man, talk about being melodramatic." The tall male crossed his arms as he looked towards the ginger. In one hand, Miles appealed to his curiosity. While in the other, the fiery grated on his patience. How could a man be as stuck-up about people? Whatever it was, he will get to the bottom of this. "You say it like you were hurt in the past. Assumed you had your fair share of burdens on your shoulders to carry."
His beady eyes glisten to the sunlight, expressing a hint of underlying sagacity. "If all of us were animals, we would hurt each other harder. It'd be a perpetual race to stay on top, be the king of the world. A pointless wish, if you ask me, ginger, because that's already the situation mankind is in."

Miles, at the response he was given, groaned in obvious annoyance, along with an eye roll to follow the attitude. And, as he listened to him, he watched the purple-haired with pensive eyes. And, at his observation, he simply shook his head, going to look away, deciding it best to not respond. It wasn't any of his business what he's been through, or why he is the way he is! Why's he so worried about it, anyway? It wasn't like they were going to see one another outside of this dream, anyway. So none of this should matter to him!
However, at his comment on animals, he gave the slightest bit of a laugh. "Oh please, the society we live in is far more stress-inducing than the life animals live in." He said. "Take wolves, for example, they live in a pack, protecting and caring for one another. They have an alpha that takes on all of the burdens for the pack, provides guides, and nurtures everyone. They're loyal and receive proper punishments for the wrongs they do. It's fair." He sighed a bit, shaking his head, seeming to be quite passionate and envious of the creatures. "If humans lived in a pack, personally, I think we'd all be a little kinder to one another... and even more than that, mates stay together, no matter what. We should all envy a bond as strong as that, don't you think?" He said with the cross of his arms.

Varon quickly caught up on the oddity of Miles' speech. He cast away the rest of the topic, because it isn't as relevant nor as interesting. The purple-haired scratches his chin while speaking inquisitively. "Hang on, suddenly all of this is about partners? You kinda got too specific over there. What do you mean with that, Miles?"
Somehow, everything starts to make sense all at once. This man's reason to be so belligerent, the explanation behind his reluctance to socialize, the logic for his generalized intolerance. Varon realized the tremendous possibility another person, in fact, his lover could have hurt him greatly. To stop people from harming him further, he shut down and pushed everyone out of reach. After all, fleeing is easier than facing everyone head on.

Miles, at the other's question, he felt a little bit panicked, like he had been caught. But what could this man have picked up on? This guy was a huge bother and extremely nosy. He didn't like that, at all. "Mind your own business, will you?" He snapped, seeming to tense up in the slightest. "What does it matter to you? Dream or not, it's none of your business, now is it?" The ginger gave a huff as he glanced over towards the familiar setting... his home.
He wanted to go over there and pet his animals... but he couldn't do that unless eggplant went along with him. Eggplant... The nickname suits him. Miles didn't like eggplants very much.
So what if he had mentioned partners...? He's been hurt, yes... but it wasn't any of the others business to find out anything of his past, and he didn't plan on sharing, either. The words would have to be forced out of him if he wanted any information, and with how stubborn he was, that wasn't likely. Instead, he gave a look of distrust.
