The slight beeping of machinery was all around the lab, keeping the experiments sedated and unable to use their powers. Lesser Experiments lined the walls in the smaller lab, these experiments will not survive the transaction to childhood from infancy. At the end of the room was a large steel door labled " Number 1, Do not enter." Behind the doors was the most successful and dangerous experiment the lab had ever created. Isis.

The click of heals were echoed across the white walls as a woman in her forties hurried down the hallway with a clipboard and a needle. "Number 1 needs it's medicine ASAP or we are all in trouble." The woman called into the radio in her other hand as she reached Number 1's door as it opened. The woman walked in and hurried into the second set of doors, towards a figure on the fall wall chained to the wall. The woman raised her thumb up to the window located high up on the wall to signal close the doors now. The man in the room closed the door and sat back in his chair, waiting for the meds to be dome. The woman approached the figure chained to the wall as it's head lifted to reveal a young girl about 17 with black hair and violet eyes. "It hurts so much." The girl said, tears escaping her tired eyes. "It's ok Isis, It will be all over soon." The woman said as she got ready to inject the medicine into Isis's wrist. "Your right Olivia, It will be all over soon." Isis said ripping her hand and the chain off the wall and bringing it down on Olivia's throat, suffocating her. "See you never." Isis laughed as she glanced up at the box and getting into the man's head. "Open all the doors to the nearest window." Isis said calmly as the man pressed several buttons against his will and then slumped to the ground as Isis broke eye contact. "Bye cruel world." She laughed as she ran to the nearest window in the hallway and jumped while alarms blared above her.


Isis reached land about an hour later and collapsed on the sand, exhausted even for her superhuman standards. "Wow, they inject me with some heavy stuff." Isis complained clutching her head as pain flared through it, leaving her mind blank. She screamed with agony and brought her knees up to her chest as she was knocked unconscious, lying on the sand for any mortal to see and find.";

Ulysses didn't intend on having to walk to his next destination. Although the beach was quiet, it was still open to everyone's eyes, but it was dawn and the sun was still yet to rise. Only its glow could be seen as it gave the sky a variety of colors.

His mask was secured on his face as he trudged through the sand, musing on how he'd spend his free hours, but his thoughts soon came to a halt in seeing a body on the ground.

He hated when things like this happened. If he decided to investigate, he'd have to stick with it and take the body along with its burdens it may come with. It'd all be his liability then.

To end his subliminal conflict, he chose to take it, stalking up the body, soon realizing it was a woman. She looked like she'd gone through plenty hell. With his two gloved fingers, he pushed them on a point on her neck, not far beneath her jaw.

Well, she was alive. He took notice to her damp clothes and figured that she swam, but if she did she either attempted to end herself or it must've been quite the swim.

Deciding not to puzzle over it any longer, he hauled her up, thrusting her over his shoulder. He'd take her to a nearby hospital, but judging on all the shots it looked like she had already, he'd save her the worry of any more needles and took her to his cabin at the edge of the beach that only he was acknowledged about.

He had set her on the couch that he really had not spent the time of day to sit on. He doesn't sit around. Hastily, he paced to his room in order to find her more comfortable attire.

Isis came to her senses and sat up, not recognizing her surroundings. Her wrists were healed again, with only a small pink scar where the silver shackles where. "Where am I?" she whispered to herself as she tried to get up from the couch, only to fall and create a small banging noise on the wooden floors.

Ulysses tilted his head to the thud, snatching a t-shirt and sweats before heading out into the living room. She'd woken up rather quickly, but then again he had no idea as to how long she played dead on the beach.

As he walked in he took in the sight of the woman on the floor with a puzzled look displayed on her face. He couldn't blame her. He'd be confused as well if he woke up in a foreign place.. But, hell, he wouldn't have fallen off the couch.

He set the clothes down on the arm of the couch then loomed over her a brief second before having to pluck her from the ground again and placed her were he had to begin with.

Interrogation would come soon, but till then he'd just allow her to adjust. Of course he wanted to know why she'd suddenly washed up on shore.

He took the folded clothes into his gloved hand and dropped them in her lap, "Put those on."

Isis looked at the clothes in confusion and then back up at the boy. "My clothes are fine though." She mumbled like a five year old. She glanced down at her clothes and her confused look became even more confused. "Why am I wet?" she asked looking into the boys golden brown eyes.

He shrugged nonchalantly,"The ocean spit you out onto the beach is what it looked like." His fingers came up to brush through his slightly disheveled hair, "Are you going to put those on?"

Of course he didn't keep her gaze too long. She might get the wrong idea. Instead, he tugged at the tips of his fingers to slide off his gloves without a struggle.

The slits in his eyes rotated a bit before snapping into place again then he suddenly muttered, "Damn it.."

It was never likely that he'd forget to keep his mask on in the presence of people, but how could he have forgotten this time? Probably the atmosphere of his cabin.

His eyes scanned the room in search for it.

"I guess....." Isis mumbled grabbing the clothes and changing right in front of the boy. "You never told me where I am." she said putting the pants on and throwing her soaked dress on the floor. It was ripped, bloodstained, and dirty, she didn't need it anymore.

Having been completely focused on finding his mask, he didn't realize she was already changing her attire until she'd said something. He raised a brow. Not that he hadn't seen a woman before, but the mere fact that she was changing in his living room.. and also threw her dress on the floor. Not really normal typical human behavior, minus the dress. Humans were quite the mess.

In answer to her question, well, he gave her the obvious, "Inside. In my living room." He was the only one who knew this cabin's location and he'd like to keep it that way.

Isis shrugged and looked around the room. "This place is kind-of small." She commented reaching up and touching the ceiling. "Who are you again?" She asked curiously, walking around the room touching everything.

Immediately he'd paced over to her, grasping her wandering hands and leading them back to her body. His face had leaned in so that he'd been eye level with her, "Stop it."

This girl, who he'd at first thought to be a woman, would be more trouble than she's worth, but he wouldn't dare complain. He'd known the consequences before he'd even dared to pick her up, a moment he now dreaded, but he'd choose to see through her misled and adolescent actions soon when he'd be in the mood for it.

He'd stare her down under his tenacious grip till he read that she understood.

Isis didn't notice the hard grip he was using on her, all she felt was a guiding hand and not a grip of steel. "Your name is Stop It?" sh asked giggling. Isis took her hand away from Ulysses with a yank, and continued touching things until she came to a nice map. "Why do you have this map here?"

Ulysses sighed heavily, pinching the bridge of his nose. He should've dumped the witch at the hospital like he first planned.

He peered up at her when she'd asked about a map, "Put that down. I need it for my job."

He listed the possible ways he could get rid of her then a thought came to mind. Certainly out couldn't have been too late to leave her at the hospital.

"Come with me," he gestured, waving his hand back towards him.

"Whats your job?" Isis asked curiously, following Ulysses. She couldn't remember anything before she woke up on the couch, but she didn't care. Am I safe here? the thought poked through her mind unexpectedly and she thought it over while following Ulysses.

He'd never had to tell anyone of his job, solely because it frightened them or made them apprehensive about him afterwards though he hadn't spared a second to care what they thought.

"To kill," he answered, grabbing his mask and securing it on his face before heading to the door and opening it for her. A whim out of respect, but the rest of the percentage was just out of wanting her to get out so she'd stop touching his possessions.

"You're going to a hospital," he muttered almost matter of factly.

Isis stopped where she was and looked him in the eye. "No." she said sitting on the floor and grabbing the floorboards for support. "No hospital." she added staring him down.

So she preferred he force her out? Nonsense. This was his cabin, she was invited in and now she was invited out. He wouldn't, couldn't, tolerate someone as adolescent as her.

His arms crossed over his chest as he stared down at her, his fowl expression hidden under his mask, "Give me a reason why not."

He'd like to hear this, especially if she had no reason at all.

Isis sighed and looked into his eyes again. "I'm not normal, I'm a freak." she said taking her shirt off, revealing her bra and her dark red and black wings from behind her. "That feels good." she said giggling and stroking one of her wings.

... He should've seen this coming. Violent eyes and marks from numerous needles.. He had it coming. Angels like to wash up on shore now? What happened to coming down in a pillar of light? Then again that's how he made it to Earth, but he was no angel.

His eyes never left her black, silky wings, "Freak isn't really a proper definition of your race, is it?"

He'd never met someone with wings, but it wasn't any different from meeting someone like him who kills for a living. At least not too far off.

"I'm not going to the hospital!" she said tucking her wings in and grabbing the floorboards again. "I'm a human hybrid. I was genetically altered at the age of three, they gave me wings, superhuman abilities, and special powers but I don't want to use them on you." She said her memory coming back a little.

((If I begin confusing you, just tell me. All her powers and weaknesses are in her profile, I didn't want to god-mod with the powers so I added weaknesses.

He smirked. Sounded like a book he read before by James Patterson. Maximum Ride was it? The thought dispersed when she enclosed herself in her ebony wings.

Though, in his mind, he wanted to dare her to, he wouldn't. He didn't define himself as a freak, nor different from anyone else except that he came from a different 'heritage' that was not bred on Earth. He'd rather keep it a secret from everyone. They were pretty much in the same box, not that different, but not so alike.

"So in other words," he let the words hang for a bit before completing his sentence, "you're a mutt mixed between human and an avian species?" He still didn't fully understand where the superhuman abilities would come from.

((Don't worry I read it . If you read Ulysses it doesn't tell what he is, so you'd have to figure out through his connections to other characters. I haven't made a description of it yet, but I'll get to work on it.))
