(BLEH sorry I haven't replied in a while)
(EDIT: only a day? It feels longer than that )
Josh was about to ask What stuff? before stopping himself. They had stuff; just not a lot of it, and mostly stuff in their field. Randall, for instance, had a rifle and several rounds to go with it, while Josh had his medical supplies. Other than that they had nothing though, although maybe it was for the best since they'd have to travel light. Right? Didn't they always travel light? He was pretty sure that was how it worked.
Randall slung the rifle over his shoulder once they were up in Jacob's crow's nest, tossing stuff down to Josh so he didn't have to climb up the ladder again. That was the only issue Josh had with it- it was cool and all but it wasn't exactly handicap friendly.
Although he tried not to think of his bad leg as a handicap. More like an obstacle or something.

"So, here's a little tidbit. What should you take with you? I mean, look around at everything you have. You have a rifle, food, knives, ammunition, an old teddy bear? I'll pretend I didn't have that in the first place," Jacob was about to toss it off the side when he saw the name that was engraved on the back. Her. It was time to forget what she did to him. Time to forget all the pain he had. So he grabbed his pistol, shoved a grenade into the bear, and tossed it into the air, shooting it.
The thing exploded in shrapnel, and burned up in the air. He put another round into the pistol, closed the chamber, and put it back in his holster. "Now, what should we bring?"

"... That was violent," Josh commented with a slight air of gleefulness, shielding his eyes from flaming teddy bear fluff.
"I don't even want to know," Randall said, looking confused before shaking his head to forget the weird thought. "Anything that'll help us, I guess. I'll just bring the couple of weapons I've got, Josh can bring his medical supplies. God knows we're gonna need them at some point. Food and water wouldn't hurt too."
"Water is more important," Josh chimed in absentmindedly, sorting through his medical supplies to see what he had. "The human body can only go three days without water, while it can go three weeks without food..."
The more you know.

(Not going to join the RP right away, but realistically a grenade going off at that distance would kill everyone in the vicinity. The shrapnel would embed itself everywhere, most likely human tissue, and if that didn't kill you then the shockwave from the explosion would. Food for thought. Sorry, I'll shut up now. Could I join though? I'd be a good kitty. No more picking apart your careful suspension of disbelief. No sir. )
(If I could, I'd fistbump you and laugh my ass off, but since I can't fistbump you, I will laugh my ass off. Sure, join ahead!
I see where you're going, but a grenade has a small explosion radius [frag grenade here, not HE. ] So depending on how far away it is, he's fine. And yes, you would be correct if he was that dumb to shoot it as soon as he tossed it, which I am.
SPOT THE SONG TITLE IN THE REPLY!)
"Josh, you are the meaning of the word human encyclopedia, ya know that? Not that it's a bad thing, though, so keep on trucking, friend," Jacob said, patting Josh's back. He looked at Randall. "Yes! You are absolutely right! Anything else?"

(lol Great! Can someone catch me up on the setting? I'm really too lazy to read the entirety of this thread so far.
Also, I found the song title. Not that it matters.)

(Ill let jake handle that since I'm honestly too lazy to try to recount everything that's happened so far xD)
(And realism. Who needs it? )
Josh shrugged, having just offered a simple helpful suggestion and deciding not to pursue the topic further. He was a geek, yes, he accepted the fact fully. But memorizing an entire survival handbook by heart could be handy, ya?
Randall pondered it a moment longer, thinking carefully. "I don't think so. We didn't have much crap to begin with and we only need to drag around the stuff we absolutely need in case we have to run really fast." Although hell, if they needed to run really fast then Josh would be totally screwed, what with his bad leg and all.

(Maybe? I'm actually depressed to a point where I don't want to do anything. So, I'm going to just hang out for a bit. I'll try my best to help you guys out, K?
Awww, who the hell am I shitting? I gotta stop throwing pity parties for myself.
So here's the deal: The Russians started a nuclear war, they're invading now, and Jacob and the Twins are going to find Vladimir, kill him, and try to escape. Josh is a medic, Randall is a sniper in training. Jacob's been through a whole helluva lot in his life, and is on the verge of collapsing into a raging, phsycotic mess.
The Russians are nearing the stage where they can effectively launch an offensive against the resistance. That's where this comes in. On that verge.)

"If we get to the point where we have to run, we really should just accept the fact that we are screwed. So, that's why I'm bringing a lot of guns. So we don't have to get to that point." Jacob chuckled, and hoisted the pack on his back. "Get some rest. We're leaving in the morning."
((could i join? minus the over shield and promethian vision im pretty much a soldier in semi bullet proof suit of armor with fancy hud and thermal indicator, heck i could get rid of that to if you want. i've read a good portion of the rp i read up to him shooting the grenade after the plane crash and the last 3 pages))
((The more the merrier! Go ahead with the suit thing! It's Russia versus a beat up army, so whichever side you choose, go ahead! ))
((I'll be with you, any way in particular you want me to join? and have we met before?))
((Anywhere, anyhow, anyway you choose. ))
Randall shrugged; the reasoning was solid, although he really did prefer running to fighting. There was a greater chance of survival if he just ran. But he was a sniper and Jacob was pretty capable so hopefully it wouldn't come to that.
Josh nodded, arching his back in a stretch and hauling himself up the ladder to the nest for the night. The ladder was a pain, but on the bright side, at least he was developing upper body strength since he couldn't rely on his feet that much.
"G'night," he called to his brother and Jacob, curling up and drifting off.
This was going to be interesting.

(( i'll join you guys in the morning a little before they depart, say that you've seen him once but they never talked. you said he was a general?))
(I thought Spartans were supersoldiers... They have over shields and even without them they can take a lot of damage. Oh, well...
@HRA I didn't realize you suffered from depression. Thanks for being with us despite that fact! And also thanks for the summary of what's happening, lol. I'll jump in now. I'm assuming you guys are holed up somewhere in a makeshift base?)
If one listened closely, they might hear the soft mewing of a cat. Or perhaps two. Or four...

((I was going to do it that he was a test, no over sheild yet and up to you guys if he has the motion sensor))

(I vote no on anything out of setting. Then again, who am I to complain? I've got the mysterious time traveling being over here.
But srlsly tho, plz dnt)
(I honestly have no idea what a spartan is, since I'm a derp and don't really study these kinds of things. Therefore I can't really add anything to this debate. You guys decide amongst yourselves, I'll sit here in the corner and play with curiosity's cats. )
