(Yay!!)
Max paused at the question. "Huh? Oh, well...I don't really know." He shrugged a bit. "I mean, I could. I just don't know what I'd do." He wasn't quite one for education, but that didn't mean he was stupid. On the contrary, he was quite smart. He helped her get the dishes washed up. "What about you?"

"I'll go, but I still don't know where." She crossed her arms when the dishes were clean trying to figure out what would suit him. She certainly couldn't picture him in an office. "You don't have any hobbies? Something you like to do?" She paused when she thought about something else. "Or is it that you've gone to college before? Don't vampires live for a really long time?"
Max gave a soft chuckle. "Yeah....well, that too. I've only been to college once, though. I'm pretty young for a vampire, and I still age a bit, since I'm technically only part vampire. It's all kind of complicated. But that's why I'm always skipping out from school. I already know this stuff, it gets really boring." He shrugged a bit. "Well, we can talk about this later. Why don't we go to your parents' now?"
"Yeah, I guess everything must be really boring for you." Faye sighed and wiped her hands on her skirt. "I just have to get my backpack and then we can go. Don't forget the pie!" She walked out of the kitchen to where she'd left her backpack on the couch. She checked her phone and she'd like ten texts from Amy. She rolled her eyes.
Max chuckled a bit. "A little." He looked at her and nodded. "Alright. I won't forget the pie." He got the pie and got his car keys, then went out to meet her in the livingroom. "Uhoh, you're looking at your phone. Is everything okay at home?" Last time she had a text, it meant that she couldn't go home.
"Yup, no scary monsters this time." She smiled at him, with her backpack slung over one shoulder. "Just a very annoying Amy. She wants me to go with her shopping tomorrow." Faye yawned and walked towards the door to open it.
(Auuughhh. Stupid notifications I don't know why they keep slipping past me! I am soooo sorry!)
Max eyed her suspiciously when she spoke of Amy. "Uh-oh. Well, be careful she doesn't rope you into anymore schemes. My cousin has the habit of doing that." He opened the door for her and took her out to his car. He wasn't so fond of her being around Amy. Amy might spill too many secrets.
(Don't worry )
Faye chuckled as she walked out of the house, and into the cold night again. "I have to agree with that, but this time it's just plain prom dress shopping. She's been bugging me that if she doesn't get one soon, none will be left." She got into the car and put on the seatbelt. "I'll be there for moral support mostly."

Max walked along with her, lifting a brow when she mentioned shopping. "Hm? You're not going to buy a dress, Faye?" He drove them off to her house. "I mean, after all, you are going to the prom. I don't think it would be very tasteful to show up naked." He winked at her playfully.
"I already have one that could work." Faye replied rolling her eyes. "So I don't know if I'll be buying another. Maybe if I see something pretty..." She tapped her knuckles against the window as if following a rhythm in her head. "But I doubt it. Are you going?" Now that she thought about it, Amy's hope of them going together to prom sounded silly. She'd never suggest it to him and prayed Amy hadn't tried to convince Max of it, because then that'd be really, really embarrasing.
Max shrugged, smirking. "Only if I have a pretty date." He looked at her for a few long moments, smirking, but then looked back to the road. He pulled into her driveway and got out, going over to open her door for her. "Ready?"
Her cheeks turned a bright pink at his words. Stop it To her dismay, she couldn't really help it. The lights of her house were on when they got there, which meant her parents were still downstairs, probably watching TV. "Yes, sure. Are you?" She got out with pie in her arms.
Max regarded her house warily, but then gave his usual cocky smile. "I was born ready, Faye." He chuckled and took her hand, going to the door. He'd let her open it and go in first, and he just followed, looking around warily for any cross or holy item or blessing that may make him hurt.
Faye smiled at him and squeezed his hand a bit, but then let it go to open the door. Her father heard the door opening first and was up in an instant to say hello to Faye, but stopped in his tracks when he saw a guy with her. Faye cleared her throat, still carrying the pie. "Hey Dad. This is Max." Her dad's expression didn't really change. "The guy that let me stay at his place that day." And then it did.
"Ah, yeah, nice to meet you then. I'm Sev." He held out his hand. Faye's mother was just standing up to go see who else was there.

Max took the man's hand and shook it, though he watched Sev carefully. After all, his skin was not cold-cold, but it was cooler than was normal. "Nice to meet you, sir. I wanted to make sure Faye got home safely, and she helped me bake my first pie today, so I suggested that we bring it here for you guys to enjoy. Sorry, we should have called, you probably weren't expecting company."
Faye's dad nodded, noticing how cool the kid's hand was, but quickly dismissed it. "That was very... thoughtful, thanks." Faye let out a heavy sigh. The worst was over. Her mom suddenly popped her head into the room. "Faye! You brought your boyfriend! That's a surprise." And there went any hopes of... well anything. Her dad didn't look very happy now.
"Mom! He's not my -" Embarrased, Faye pulled on Max's arm with the hand that was not holding the pie. "I think you should go."

Max glanced over at Faye. "Go? Why? I mean, we're not officially dating, but I am taking you to the prom..." He smiled wryly at her. "If you'll go with me, that is." Yep, he chose this time as the chance to ask her to go to prom. He was trouble, alright, with pluck like that! "Anyways, Mr. Sev, Faye worked really hard to help a non-cook like myself with this pie, so I think you guys should try a slice. Your daughter's a genius in the kitchen, though I bet it's in her genes."
"Yes, we're very proud of her, thank you Max." Raven, Faye's mom, beamed at them and went to take the pie from her daughter. "We'll go to the kitchen to have a slice right now." She grabbed a dumbfounded Sev and dragged him with her, leaving Faye there with Max. Oh no, she was blushing again. "You're really taking me to the prom?" She asked after her parents were out of view, stil not over the surprise. "Are you sure you want that?"
Max smiled charmingly at the mother as she whisked the dad away, then looked at Faye. "If you want me to. I mean, if you'd rather go with your girl group, I'll understand." He lifted a brow when she questioned him. "Faye, it's a prom. I'm not making a life -...long-time commitment, here." Since 'life' was longer than most for him, he had to change the wording a little. "I usually hate giving ol' Amy what she wants, but I think it'd be fun. I hate going alone or with some random girl, it's completely obnoxious. But going with you would be a good time." He shrugged, trying to be nonchalant. (I gotta go to bed, I'll post before work tomorrow morning)
