Faye dozed off during the ride and grumbled a little when they reached her house. She was tired and still had to go through some notes, but wouldn't have changed her plans of going to the beach for anything in the world. She wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed his cheek smiling. "Goonight, and thanks for going with me."
Max smiled at her and nodded. "Yes...you're quite welcome. Goodnight, Faye." He let her go after another long hug, then drove home. He wouldn't have changed his plans for anything, either. Any time she wanted to be with him, she would only have to say so. (I'm going to cut down on my RPs I'm responding to now 'cause I want to get more homework done before bed, so this might be my last post to you tonight. Sorry )
Faye walked into her house and the first thing she did was to hug her parents and then happily skipped towards her bedroom. Unfortunately, her happy mood wouldn't last long. The next day, she didn't go to school. She'd called Amy earlier to tell her to not to pick her up. After hearing the news of what had happened, Amy inmediately decided she'd skip classes, but stayed for the first period to tell Max.
(Okay! )
(Okay! )
Max got to first period, but he knew right away that something was wrong. Faye wasn't there. He went over to Amy. "Where's Faye?" He had a bad feeling. He was never there before Faye. Faye was always there first. She wouldn't be late.
Amy was just sending Faye a tenth text she'd probably not reply to. "At the hospital." She held up a hand. "And no, she is not injured or anything. It's her uncle." She closed the door of her locker.
Max was ready to freak out until she said that it wasn't Faye who was harmed. He gave a soft sigh of relief, then grabbed Amy's cellphone and read the texts to find out what hospital they were at. "Thanks." He ruffled her hair, then was off to get into his car. Some teachers spotted him and yelled at him as he drove off, calling him a 'delinquent' and such. But his grades were so good, that yelling was all they could really do.
Once he got to the hospital, he sat in his car and sent Faye a text asking where she was.

"Hey, wait!" Amy sighed but had to go to class. At the hospital, Faye was in a waiting room, sitting there with a soda in hand. It had to be Amy again. She'd been sending her texts she couldn't read. Typical. Faye sighed and since she'd memorized the options of her phone, she called the number which the textvcame from. "Amy, I'm fine, really. You don't have to skip school to come." She said first, without thinking it may not be Amy.
Max smirked. "Guess again, kid. I'm in the hospital parking lot, where are you at?" He got out and went into the hospital. "They're gonna ask who I'm here to say, but I don't know your uncle's name. You gotta give me something, Faye, so they can let me in."
A faint smile formed on her face when she heard his voice. "You can tell them you're here for Vic Woods. We're on the second floor." She couldn't exactly give him more directions but she was sure the people down would do better at helping him with that. She set down beside her the can of soda intended for her to stay awake. It'd been like that for hours.
Max smiled. "See you in a minute." He closed his phone and told the receptionist who he was there for. He followed their directions and spotted her in the waiting room. He walked over and sat beside her. "Hey, Faye." He put an arm around her. "How are you doing? What happened?" He pet her head gently. This had to be rough for her.
Faye wasn't startled now when he appeared out of nowhere. She scooted closer to him and lowered her head, as if she was looking at her feet. "A fury, again." She said in a quiet voice. "He's not like us. He's just a human and he couldn't fight off something like that."
Max felt the rage rush up inside him again. "Why are furies going after your family? That's ridiculous. If he's just a human, there's nothing he could have that they would want." He was not happy with this. He was going to have to go on some fury hunts. "Why did they attack him, Faye?"
Faye was angry too but she didn't let that show. Her parents and everybody in general had their own problems and she liked to deal with hers herself. "Dad killed one. And when there's one near, there's always another waiting to pounce. Vic is the only one who didn't stand a chance." She managed a shaky smile. "Don't tell him I said that."
(There might be some slow replies this week due to tests =/)
(ok, no prob. Good luck!)
Max frowned slightly. "...I won't tell him, Faye." He held her gently. Yep, fury-hunt was totally happening. He wasn't going to let ANYONE make his girl cry. Not when she had no reason to be sad. Those furies would pay. He could feel the shiver of desire to make the kill, but he held off for now. He had to stay calm and controlled while he was with Faye. He'd let it out later on those damn furies.

Faye allowed herself a moment to let a few tears fall and then wiped them, sitting up straighter. "I'm really glad you came, but won't it give you troubles at school?" She asked him, oblivious to what he intended to do. "I'll be okay here if you have to go." Her smile was real now. She really didn't want to cause him problems.
(Thanks!)
(Thanks!)
Max rolled his eyes. "I'm fine, Faye. They can't do anything but yell at me. I get great grades no matter how many days I skip, so they can't really do anything about it, and they think I'm cheating but they can never catch me at it, because I'm not. So they can't do anything. They might call me in a couple times, but I can always say it was an emergency." He shrugged. "I'd rather be here with you when you need someone."
Even though she couldn't see him, she could almost hear the eye roll in his voice. "I was just saying." Faye said searching for his hand, until he found it. "Anyways, I'll just stay here for a while today because I heard mom say they'd send me home soon." She shook her head. "I can't really argue. I must look as if I've just woken up, and I can't say I'm here to see my uncle because, well, I can't."
Max held her hand gently. "Do you want me to take you home? I'll stay there with you if they don't want you to be home alone." He was worried for her. This was hard. It really was. And he wanted to make sure she was safe and okay. He leaned in and kissed her head. "I'm here, Faye. It's okay."
Hospitals were her least favorite places on earth, and she didn't want her parents to worry about her while they had to take care of other things. Faye nodded and moved to hug him and kiss his cheek, but the kiss ended up being closer to his nose. "Thanks. My parents are at Vic's room. Number two-hundred twenty five." She paused. "I don't know how to get there."
