Max took her hand and helped her to her feet after the kiss and her words. "We'll go there, then." He led her to the room and carefully knocked on the door, then went in if they were invited inside. He greeted her parents, and explained about offering to take her home.

(Going to bed for the night, sorry! Goodnight!)

Faye followed him through the sanitizer-smelling halls until they reached the room. Her parents loked surprised to see Max there. They wore tired expressions, especially her mother, whose brother was lying on the bed, connected to a machine. Faye could just hear the beeps coming from it. Her mom's face turned relieved when an opportunity of getting Faye away from the hospital without her being alone appeared.

"Faye, are you okay with that?" Her dad asked, already knowing the answer but had to ask. "Yes, everything will be fine. Let me know if he wakes up." They hugged her and assured her they would. "Be careful, okay?" Her mom said and kissed her forehead and then looked at Max and nodded.

Max looked calmly at the man in bed, but there was a fire raging inside him. He gave a nod to Faye's parents. "I'll make sure she's safe while you guys are here. Don't forget to eat and get some sleep. All of you." He took Faye's hand and left, going to the car and driving her to her house. "I'll stick around for a bit...but you need to eat and get some sleep, okay?"

Faye's mom just crashed on a chair nearby, rubbing her face with her hands. And her father, patted Max's shoulders as a way of thanking him.
It was relieving stepping out of the building, where that hospital smell couldn't reach her. She felt better when she could tell they were outside, able to feel the sun. Once in the car, Faye shoved her hands in her pockets and leaned back on her seat, her eyes not focusing on anything. "I will. I can do that. Thanks for this."

Max nodded slightly. "No problem." Once at the house, he helped her inside, and made her go right to the couch to take a nap. He didn't want her in her room, because he wanted to keep an eye on her and make sure she was safe. But he brought out her pillow and blanket so that she could rest comfortably. "Get some sleep, Faye." He kissed her forehead, then went into the kitchen. He had some calls to make regarding recent activity of furies..

Faye didn't have the energy to argue, because she was tired. On the couch, she waited until he came back a pillow. She recognized it as the red one, because it was the softer one in the house. She laid down and closed her eyes as soon as her head came in contact with the pillow. "Okay, but wake me up if something happens." She mumbled and after a few minutes, drifted off. If not woken up, she'd sleep at least two hours.

There were barely signs of any struggle happening in the house, just a broken window in the living room, which was from where the fury had gotten in. Now Faye understood why outside camp, half-bloods where most likely to die.

Max fixed up the window after he got off the phone, and he wouldn't wake Faye at all. He let her sleep as long as she needed. In the meantime, though, he was putting up some extra measures. There were things he had weaknesses to, but furies had weaknesses as well. He was going after them. No doubt about it. But he had to prepare first.

Something weird about Faye, was that everytime she had nightmares, it was impossible for her to remember them, which was good, but sometimes she wished she could. It was as if she was missing something important. She woke up, sure Max had already left, and was sorry she'd just left him on his own in the house while she slept. You usually didn't do that to a guest. Sighing, she got up and walked to the kitchen, always staying close to the walls to avoid knocking things down. Maybe her mom had brought some cake from work.

To her surprise, when Faye woke up, Max was actually there! "Hey, sleepy head." He had been so quiet, sitting in the corner. Not even really breathing much. But as she woke, he got up and went over to take her in his arms gently and look down at her carefully. "How are you feeling? Any better?" He was worried about her wellbeing, naturally.

Faye smiled sleepily, wrapping her arms around his neck. "I feel better, I just needed a good nap. That was all." She was still worried about so many things but at least now she could think clearly and focus on trying to fix them, rather than just worrying. For long had he been there, anyways? She was happy he'd stayed. Faye rose on her tiptoes to kiss his cheek, but again, she missed, but this time it was on his lips. She inmediately realized her mistake and blushed bright red. "Hmmm... So any news from the hospital?" She asked in order to avoid any awkward silence.

Max blinked in surprise when their lips met! It was good she couldn't see, because he was blushing too, as much as a half-breed vampire can blush, that is. "Um...no, not yet." He cleared his throat slightly. "Are you hungry? I can find something for you to eat." He smiled gently.

After his question, there was a moment of silence. Just the sound of a car driving by outside was audible; then she spoke. "Oh, okay." She lowered her arms, embarrased. It wasn't supposed to happen like that! Not when she couldn't see him. "What?" She had been too caught up replaying the feeling. "Yes, yes, I'm hungry. There must be something in the fridge that we could eat and that is not in a can."

Max led her to the table and had her sit down. "I'll find something, don't worry." He checked the fridge and cupboards. "Hmm...does macaroni and cheese sound okay?" If she agreed, he would start cooking some macaroni and cheese for them. He kept glancing back at her, glad she couldn't see him. They had kissed. Had it been intentional? She didn't seem like the kind of girl who would give a real kiss so soon, that's why he had held off. He was confused.

Faye sat down, hands on the table in front of her. "Macaroni and cheese is perfect." There was a lot you could get just from seeing a person's face. She needed to see what Max's face looked like right then to know if he was okay with what she'd done. It had been an accident but it wasn't something she regretted either. She could hear him opening the fridge and rummaging around the kitchen. "I'm sorry, if... it made you unconfortable. I didn't mean to, really." Her cheeks were flushed again.

Max cooked quietly, humming softly just so that there wasn't an awkward silence. When she spoke, he looked over. "It's alright, Faye." He took in a deep breath and let it out. "...it wasn't uncomfortable. I just...don't want you to do it if it makes you uncomfortable, okay? I don't mind going at your pace."

Faye smiled and covered her mouth with her hand because she started laughing, relieved now that he'd said he wasn't upset. "I know, it wasn't unconfortable for me either. I mean, yes it was, but only because I thought you were." At this point, maybe her whole face was red, but she didn't mind. It'd been embarrasing but sweet. She hadn't had the guts to do it before and now it'd happened just like that. "It was funny. It took me one second to realize I had missed and I was freaking out." She was having a laughing fit recalling the way she'd fozen in place.

Max laughed softly. "Alright...well...should we...be okay with that then, or..not yet?" He chuckled and smiled at her, watching her flushed face. She was so cute. "Just let me know, okay? I don't want to do anything that would overstep your boundaries at all, alright?" He kissed her head gently.

"It doesn't bother me, really. It was... very nice" She said as honestly as she could without being able to see him. "But it's sweet you're concerned about it." Faye smiled and slowly stood up to hug him, now that she knew he was standing next to her. "Hey, can I help with the cooking?"
