"She wouldn't shut up so I said yes." She said putting on her skates as well. Her dark hair was in a messy ponytail that fell over one of her shoulders. "I haven't come skating in a while. I just hope I don't fall on my face." It was an attempt to get him to laugh a bit. Maybe they wouldn't speak again after that day, but it was nice to have someone to talk to that wasn't just Amy and her parents.

Max stood up carefully once his skates were on. "Yeah. It's been a while for me too. So what did Amy tell you about me?" He wondered if Amy had told her anything about him at all. Probably only the good things, if she agreed to come on this date.

"Not much." Faye said moving her feet in the skates, testing them. "She just told me your name and that you were... weird?" She looked at him, wating for his reaction. "I mean, it's what she said. I've seen my fair share of 'weird' and I don't think you are."

Max rolled his eyes. "Yeah, weird is an accurate description I guess." He shrugged. "You'll find out later." Let's not scare her off with the sharp fangs before they'd even gone a round of skating. He held out his hand. "Need some help standing up?" Well, he was a gentleman at least!

Faye smiled, now curious, but didn't ask more questions about it. She took his hand and stood up. "Thanks." She was less nervous about the situation now. It wasn't that bad. If it didn't work out, she wouldn't mind being friends with him.

Max carefully moved onto the rink, holding her hand carefully. "Let's see who pulls who down first." He smirked slightly and chuckled. "Don't worry, I won't push you. I'd probably lose my balance trying."

Faye laughed. "If you push me, you'll indeed fall with me." She remembered when she was a child and she came here with her parents. It'd seemed easier to not to slip and fall then. There were just a few other people there and far apart so hopefully, they wouldn't bump into anybody.

Max started moving his feet carefully, ready to let go of her hand in case he started going too fast for her. He didn't want to make her fall. "How are you doing so far? Try to take it easy."

Faye looked up at him and squeezed his hand slightly. "I'm fine. Oh no, kid coming from your left." The kid was coming at full speed. How did you stop moving? She didn't remember. If she tried something she may end up making them both fall.

Max glanced over his shoulder and in one swift, graceful move he was backwards, facing her, and wrapping his arms around her carefully to pull her out of the way so that she didn't get knocked over. "Careful." Once the kid was passed, he let go of her and switched back to skating normally.

Faye's cheeks had turned red from embarrasement. Don't panic, just try to remember, she told herself. "Thanks... for that." As usual, she too the opportunity of being able to see to take in every detail she could. After a few minutes, she was at last able to skate without being to jumpy about other people coming too close.

Max skated along contently. Since she didn't make a comment about his grace, he wouldn't either. It was part of what he was, and he was keeping that quiet for now. "So Faye...tell me about yourself. Amy told me absolutely nothing about you." He sighed. "She does that."

She nodded and thought about something she could tell him. Start with little things first. "Hmmm, I love to cook, that's probably what I'll do when I graduate, try to get into a culinary school. It'd be great. I used to do ballet but it was not my thing. Not a graceful barbie here. And you?"

Max chuckled as she said she wasn't a graceful barbie. "I see. Um....Hmm. I like to read. I'm only a people person when I feel like it. I like staying out at night more than during the day." He shrugged.

Faye let go of his hand to skate around him. It felt good to get into the habit again. She needed to be calm for the next part. It was better if she told him from the start. "I do too. Mainly because it's the only time when I'm able to see."

Max lifted a brow, his attention immediately locked on her. "...really? How?" She didn't look like a blind girl, especially since...she could see. He was really confused, and he didn't like that, so he waited rather impatiently for her to explain.

"It's... It's a curse. If you believe in those kinds of things." She explained, looking down at the ice. "I can't see during the day. It's been like that for as long as I can remember." This was it. She kept moving around him slowly, in circles.

Max stared at her. "A curse. Well, that's a pretty interesting curse. Could be worse, though. You could be a pig or a sheep or something." He chuckled a bit. "Well, looks like you're 'weird' too." He smirked.

Faye looked at him again and smiled brightly. "Yeah, it could be way worse. Which reminds me... What is your 'weirdness' then?" She asked curiously as some background music started to play.

Max smirked. "...I'll tell you later." He skated around with her, listening as the music started playing. She was blind during the day. Interesting. But that meant they both liked the night, so that wasn't such a bad thing.
