"I heard that!" Faye called from the stairs. "And she was not babysitting me!" Amy groaned and covered her face with a cushion. "I was tired and I fell asleep." She stretched her arms over her head. "Who hasn't stayed out in the rain some time? It's awesome, so let the girl do what she wants while she can see it before that time is up" Max's cousin got up and patted his shoulder. "I've been in your shoes before and she wasn't this nice when it happened to me."
Max frowned at her. "She could've got a cold, Amy! Someone's already in the hospital, her parents don't need this stress." he hissed at her, quieter to keep Faye out of the conversation.
"Okay, you're right. I'm sorry, I should've paid more attention." Amy rubbed the sleep from her eyes, yawning. "I know it's a very difficult situation, even I can see that." She walked past him to turn on the TV. "Where did you go anyways? I may not be a supernatural creature, but I know you."
Max sighed slightly, glanced around for Faye, then moved closer to Amy. "..I took care of the furies." he whispered softly to her. He pulled back his sleeves to show the fading scars from today's fight. Fading scars, which meant he'd fed, probably on the furies. "Don't tell Faye...I think she might get upset."
"I see..." She crossed her arms, looking over her shoulder at the stairs in case Faye was there. "Of course she'll be upset, for just for this time, I won't say anything." Suddenly, Faye came running into the living room in her bathrobe waving her phone around. "He's awake!"
Max was a funny sight when Faye came running around in her bathrobe. His face turned much redder than a half-vampire's should be able to be, and he quickly turned away. He was terribly flustered. "Really? Great!" He glanced at Amy, pleading for her to get some proper clothes on the girl.
Amy was jumping up and down, happy for her friend. "Yes, that's great!" Then she saw Max's face and looked back at Faye. "Maybe you should, like... put some clothes on?" Faye smacked her forehead, blushing. "Yeah, right. I'll be back in a minute!" She ran upstairs again, talking in the phone with her mom again about how her uncle was doing. Once she was out of sight, Amy started laughing. "You should see your face!"
Max frowned at Amy as she laughed at him. "What is she thinking?? She just runs down here in a bathrobe!" He was so flustered, poor guy. But then again, he did have rather out-dated values, and he wasn't the kind of guy who would lick his chops at seeing his girlfriend in that kind of stuff. "But...I am glad that he's alright." He smiled a bit.
Amy shrugged. "She was happy, that's all." She checked her watch. "And... it's time for me to go. I'll call you later, okay? I need you to help me with a History paper and you know more about that kind of stuff than me." She grabbed her backpack and walked towards the door. "Hey, Faye, I'm leaving! See ya later!"
"Okay!" Faye yelled from her room. She was dressed now, but was busy with a photo album she had been working on the night before but had left on the floor. There were more than ten pictures of trees, the beach and other things laying around her.

Max grumbled, "I better know more about it, I lived it!" He waved as she left, then went to go find Faye. Once he was certain she was fully clothed, he stepped into the room. "Hey, how are you feeling?" He blinked and looked at all the pictures. "What's all this?"
Her room just consisted of her bed, an arm chair and a desk. It was better to have little furniture so that she wouldn't hit with anything in the mornings. There was a large window on the opposite wall from which you could see the sea.
Faye looked up from the pictures and smiled at him, her face showing she was surprised he was still there. "I'm good. I heard Amy leaving, so I thought you'd left with her." She took one picture of a pool party and put it in a pretty scrapbook. "Well... these on the left are photos Amy has snapped for me, things I've done, and places I've been to." She said patting those. "And these ones are pictures of things I'd like to see some day." She held up a picture of the Niagara Falls.

(Would it be too much drama if because of Cupid she thinks she is in love with another guy from school? lol )
(Certainly not! I think it would be very interesting X3)
Max watched her, shaking his head. "I'm not going to leave you alone in the house, Faye. That's never fun." Yet he seemed to live alone in his own house. He listened as she explained about the pictures and he smiled. "That's great, Faye. I'm sure you'll get to see everything you want to." He walked over and sat down beside her, taking a look at both types of pictures.

(Okay! I was just checking )
"Thanks. I hope to. This is just a small project of mine I started when I thought there wasn't much I could do with my life being lke this." She handed him the scrapbook with some pictures of a pool party. Amy had been there and had made sure all was recorded in the images. "But then I realized that the people out there that don't have the chance to at least see at night, can live happily, so why not me?" She blushed. She'd never talked about that with anyone except for her mom.
"Anyway, my uncle will be able to return home in two days. He woke up from the coma and right now they're checking everything is alright." Faye looked outside the window and smiled. "You know, one day, or night, I'll take my dad's motorcycle and show you that being in the rain can be worth a cold."

Max listened to her, smiling gently. "You're incredible, Faye. It took me thirty years to learn that lesson." And even still he hadn't learned it completely, he'd just learn to deal with it. He chuckled as she spoke of a motorcycle. "I'm glad your uncle is alright. But we'll see about the motorcycle, Faye. We'll see." He poked her cheek gently with his finger. "Maybe if you wear a raincoat." he teased.
Faye laughed softly. "A raincoat? Okay, I'll wear a raincoat. If that brings peace to your mind." She leaned against him, resting her head on his shoulder. It was nice to know that when things got tough, she'd have her best friends there with her to help her through them. "I think I never asked you... How old are you, really?"
Max smiled. "Yes, it would." He put an arm around her gently, content with just sitting there like that...until she asked of his age. "Umm..." He looked away. "...I'm not so sure I should answer that." He sighed slightly.
That only spiked her curiosity. She glanced up at him with a serious expression and spoke softly, "Hey, I don't mind if you might have been friend of my great great grandfather's cousin's neighbour's brother. I just want to know. But I understand if you don't want to tell me." She smiled and tried to get him to laugh. "My mom sometimes doesn't want to put candles on her birthday cake to hide her age too."
Max chuckled a bit. "That would be a lot of candles." He smiled gently at her, then held her close and closed his eyes, giving a sigh. "I'm 90." Still very young. Since he was only half-vampire, he aged, just very slowly. Here in his late teens, in appearance, in reality he was an old man.
"90..." Silence stretched for a few minutes while she thought about it. She really didn't mind. It was still him, no matter for how long had he been around. Faye placed a kiss on his cheek. "You can tell me anything, Max. You already told me you're a half vampire, and I didn't freak out, which is saying something."
