Max smiled a bit. "Talking about our trip sounds great to me. Where do you think we should go first? What's the place you want to see the most?" He leaned in to kiss her head, then just kept walking with her. "So do you have a list of top five or top ten places? What do you think? That can help us narrow down what we should do first."

"I do actually have a list." Faye's cheeks turned pink, for she had never showed to anyone, just vaguely mentioned some of the things written there. "It's a bucket list of sorts, because when I started, I wasn't just thinking about things I wanted to see, but also things I wanted to do." She pulled a small notebook out from her pocket and handed it to him.

Fall deeply in love
Take a ride on a really high roller coaster
See the Niagara falls
Grow a garden
See the Northen Lights
See the Grand Canyon
Make a wish at the Trevi fountain

Max took the list and looked it over, smiling a bit. "Well..I see you've got a couple things crossed off here..." He smirked and winked at her. "The rest of this list is absolutely do-able." He smirked. "After all, being alive for so long, you kind of acquire a lot of money. Not to mention my parents' inheritance." He smiled at her. "So we can absolutely do all of this. What do you want to do first?"

She rolled her eyes at him, knowing why he was smirking. "What can I say? I'm realistic." She kissed his cheek and then peered at her notebook. "We could start in this country, with the roller coaster, the dolphin, the Grand Canyon..." She said smiling again. It was impossible not to. These things sounded so much better when you had someone who to share them with. "What do you think?"

Max smiled at the kiss to his cheek, and he leaned in to return it. Then he looked at the notebook as well, giving a nod. "Sounds good to me. Then we can move on to the overseas ones." He glanced at her and smiled. "It'll be great, Faye. It really will." He handed the notebook back to her. "I'm excited for it."

She nodded eagerly, wishing prom would come sooner. "I know, thanks." One of her arms slipped around his middle and with her free hand she put her notebook in her raincoat's pocket. "Really, it's amazing that you're taking me to see all this." Faye smiled, knowing she must have said a hundred times, but those were the dreams of a lifetime, and he was making them come true. The lake was visible now. She knew that was it because of the old rope kids used to jump into the lake, hanging from a tree branch nearby.

Max smiled softly at her, walking along contently. "It's not so amazing, Faye. I love you. I want you to see the sights that you always wanted to see. And it's an honor to be going with you." He paused and looked at her. "Do you think we should take your parents with us on the sights in the US? So that they can experience it with you. I'm sure they've felt just as terrible as I do with your loss of sight."

"I'm sure they'd love to go with us. It's a very good idea. You'll charm them even more." Faye's eyes had pretty much shone when he said he loved her. She realized something then. Could it be...? "You know, it's odd. The night before getting my sight back, was when you first told me you loved me." She looked at his face to see his reaction. "And the god who cursed me in the first place was Cupid." How had she not come to this conclusion before? After wondering for so long, it all seemed so clear and obvious at the moment.

Max looked away as she spoke of the connection. "Come on, let's check out this special lake you were talking about. I wonder if the water will be warm enough to get in?" He smiled at her and went to the water's edge, letting go of her to crouch down and stick a hand in the water. Yep, not answering all that.

She sighed. That night was something they never talked about, but this... This was important. For her, at least. If he'd really given her her sight back then she may as well owe him everything! She didn't understand why he changed the subject, though. Faye walked after him, sitting next to him crosslegged. "What's wrong?" She asked as she tested the water too.

Max frowned slightly, but then shrugged. "Nothing's wrong, Faye. The water actually seems pretty nice. Want to go in for a dip?" He smiled gently at her and reached over to touch her cheek. "Come on. We came all this way, why not take a swim? We'll just jump in with our clothes on."

"You are unbelievable!" Faye laughed at his not so smooth way of telling her: 'I don't want to talk about it.' She kissed his palm and got up to take off her raincoat. "Okay, let's go take a swim." She walked towards the tree with the rope and started climbing it. "We are still talking about what happened. Later."

Max smirked slightly. "That's what you think." He walked over, shedding his own coat and his shirt, and just watched her as she started climbing the tree. He was ready to catch her in case she fell. Yes, he was that protective. "Think you can make a splash? I'm not so sure about it; you have such a dainty body." he teased.

"I can do it." She said stubbornly, successfully reaching the top of the tree. It was a small victory. Tugging on the rope to test it first, she gave one last look at Max below. "See you in the lake!" She held tightly onto it as she jumped from the tree and into the water.

Max listened to her and smiled. "See you there." He watched her as she jumped off the tree and swung into the water. He climbed up the tree more quickly than she had, and took hold of the rope as it returned. He waited for her to surface and move out of the way so that he wouldn't hurt her.

It was a lake so Faye didn't have to worry about being dragged away like it'd happen in a river. Her head popped up a few feet away from where she'd initially been. She waved at Max. The water was a little cold but she didn't mind. "C'mon! Jump!" She swam towards a rock and sat on it watching him with a smile and gave him a thumbs-up.

Max smiled at her. "Alright, alright, I'm coming!" He grabbed hold of the rope and jumped off, swinging out before he'd let go and splash into the water. He surfaced, sputtering a bit and laughing, then he'd swim over and climb onto the rock beside her. "I can't remember the last time I did that." He smiled at her. "I don't remember it being so much fun!"

She nudged him. "Perhaps you need to d it more often." Faye leaned against his shoulder smiling. She'd never seen this place in the daylight before. It was beautiful, and even more so with Max around. A shiver ran through her. It hadn't been this cold before jumping. "And I told you, I did make a splash."

Max smiled and put an arm around her, pulling her close. "Perhaps I do." he agreed. He held her a little closer when she shivered, and he chuckled. "Yes, you did make a splash. Come on, let's get back in the water, it will feel warmer than being out in the air."

She kissed his cheek as a thanks. "Okay. Are you going to say anything about what I mentioned before?" She asked, sliding down the rock back into the water. Indeed, it was warmer than when she'd been sitting. Faye turned around to look at Max. "I really want to know what happened that night." She added, lowering her voice.
