Max shook his head. "And I really don't want to tell you." he said calmly. He leaned back a little and stared up at the sky, taking in a deep breath. "Why do you want to know so bad, Faye? What does it matter? Your sight is here and you're better." He brushed his finger along his cheek a little and sighed softly.

"Oh." She hadn't realized how much he wanted to keep it for himself. Faye's shoulders slumped, a little disappointed. She spread her arms and closed her eyes to float on her back. It helped her gather some courage and not chicken out. "I'm sorry I'm pushing this," She said carefully. "But, it matters to me. And, besides, you wanting to hide it means something is off which kind of defeats the point of refusing to tell me because I'll just want to know more." She opened one eye to see if he'd left, upset.

Max listened to her and groaned slightly. "But why does it matter to you? You're not answering my question? Why would it matter to you?" He hadn't left, but he was getting irritated. He didn't really want to tell her, especially since it seemed like she wanted to know just for the sake of knowing.

He was still there, but growing more irritated by the second; she noticed. Faye hated arguing, but she was not letting this go. "Because it is no trivial thing that has nothing to do with me. We're talking about how I got my sight back. Why is it so terrible?" She insisted, finally looking straight at him. "I thought you'd want to help me figure this out, but you're hiding something."

Max was quiet for a long few moments. He pulled himself out of the water completely and just sat on the grass, staring up at the sky for a while. Then, reluctantly, he spoke. He spoke, and told her everything. Since she wanted it so badly, he explained it, and he didn't leave any detail out. She asked for it, so she was going to get what she had asked for.

She listened attentively, without interrupting. He told her everything from the beginning to the end. Things she'd ignored and now she couldn't believe how she had forgotten to ask about them. They should've had this conversation some time ago. Eventually, she went to sit next to him, drawing her knees to her chest to keep herself warm. When he was finished, she just had to say it. "You threatened a god for me. Now I understand why I haven't seen him ever since." She felt better now. All had been puzzled together. Faye got up and reached for the hem of her shirt, lifting it over her head, then took her pants off too. She hung them on a low tree branch so they could dry and put the raincoat on instead. At least that one was a bit warm. "Are you mad?"

Max wasn't looking at her until she started taking her clothes off; but then he REALLY didn't look at her. He sighed slightly at her question, just staring at the water firmly and dedicated now. "Why would I be mad, Faye? I didn't really want to talk about it, but it's out now so it's fine. There's nothing to be mad about." He clasped his hands together, fingers fiddling idly to give him something to think about. Sure she had stuff on still, but it certainly wasn't enough in his opinion.

"Hmmm... I guess so. I don't regret insisting, but I do feel bad for making you upset." Faye leaned forward, resting her cheek on her knees, just watching him. That's when she noticed he was purposely not looking at her. She remembered his usual old ways manners and chuckled. "It's fine, Max. I have the raincoat on, you know." She teased, finding it adorable.

Max rubbed his cheek and sighed slightly. "I know you do, but that's not a proper outfit. Faye was lucky, really. He wasnt a hormone driven vampire like many truths and legends. "I especially can't take you back in only a raincoat. Your parents would kill me."

Faye giggled, and giggled, until it became a laughing fit. She just couldn't stop because it was such a normal thing to say. Her parents would indeed not be pleased if she showed up in her underwear and a raincoat. She wrapped her arms around her stomach, still laughing a little. "Don't worry, I-I'll put the clothes on in a bit." She probably looked very, very crazy.

Max quirked a brow. "Good, you better." He stuck his tongue out at her a little, but then looked away. Darn woman. Sure, she was nice and covered, but...well, he was a man. So he was just trying to keep his thoughts respectful of his girlfriend. "What are you doing tomorrow?" he finally asked.

"Ummm... I have no plans." She stretched out her legs, trying to touch the tip of her toes. "Mom said something about getting some beauty sleep for the dance." She shook her head. "She's quite excited about it." The sunlight reflecting on the lake made the place look almost fairytale-like. She reminded herself it was a blessing. "Dad is going to get me a puppy."

(Hi! We're planning on there being a happily ever after, right? I was thinking that for that to happen, Faye would have to start aging much slower, or Max become human. Any ideas? We could brainstorm for any of them. I was watching a tv show, and thought maybe Max could die. Not permanently! Just so with some CPR and stuff, he wakes up and is human again :0 but it's okay if you want him to stay a vampire. )

Max smiled softly at her. "Yeah...it will be a lot of fun, Faye. The dance. It will be a great time." He listened and chuckled softly. "A puppy? That sounds like a lot of fun. Have you picked one out yet?" He sat there enjoying the sunlight with her. He was lucky that he wasn't one of those sun-intolerant vampires. That would have been bad.

(Hiii I am so sorry for the late response, life has been ridiculous! I'm on break right now thank goodness lol. Hmmm yeah something's gonna have to work with that. I might have an idea or two, for Faye's slow aging. After all, with her parents being gods kinda thing, that opens up a lot of doors for interactions >3>)

Faye nodded. "Yep, it'll be a husky." She laid back on the grass, ignoring the prickly feeling. "You can help me with the name. I once had a turtle. And I called her T." She smiled. "I'm not very creative when it comes to names." She lifted one of her feet a little when she saw a butterfly had landed on her toes.

(That's okay. I'm on break too, but next week college begins :0. Yay! They'll age slowly together. What ideas do you have? One of our options could be ambrosia. :o)

Max listened to her and smiled, nodding his head in approval. "I like huskies. They're good dogs." He listened as she mentioned naming it, and he laughed lightly. "Really? You're asking the man named 'Maximilian' to help you name a dog?" He smirked a bit and just watched her, but only for a moment or two before looking back to the water. Darn girl needed to get her clothes on.

(I was thinking a bit adventurous x3 I don't know how ambrosia is obtained, but I was thinking they'd have to like go travel somewhere to try and find a person that would give them what they needed. So, adventureness Also oooo college~ Yeah I'm on break from my semester that's already going right now xD)

She thought huskies were cute. "Aw, but you didn't choose it, and it's not that bad. I'm sure we can come up with something. We could even bring him along with us when we leave." She wiggled her toes and the butterfly flew away. Max was staring at the water intently again. She watched him with smile. "I think my clothes must be more or less dry now."

(That sounds great!And I have no idea about ambrosia either They could be asked for favors in exchange for the information and that leads them to someone else, and someone else until they finally find what they need. -- I'm excited, and at the same time scared about it. Hope everything turns out okay. You are lucky!)

Max chuckled a little and smiled. "That sounds nice." He wasn't sure how a puppy would do traveling so much though, so he was just going to leave that all up in the air. When she spoke of getting dressed, he nodded. "They should be good enough." He just wanted her to put her clothes on.

(Sounds good! And hahaha don't worry, it will be fun! It's hard sometimes but that makes it worth it, and you'll make awesome friends You can do it!)

She smiled, wondering if the pup would like her. She really hoped he would. Faye stood up, walking over to the tree branch where she'd hung her shirt and pants. "Don't peek!" She called, taking the raincoat off and grabbing her clothes to put them on. They felt cold, but weren't too wet anymore. It'd be okay. They'd dry on the way back home.

Max turned away completely, pressing his fingers against each other tightly to resist a peek at his girlfriend. He did respect her, but he WAS a man. With his eyes tightly shut and his head properly averted, he waited until she gave him the okay. Then he'd stand up and stretch, opening his eyes again. "So, are you ready to head back?"

(I understand )

Faye was braiding her hair so it wouldn't stick out everywhere on the ride back. "Yeah. It'll be dark soon." She didn't explain that since what happened with the vampire everytime she rounded a corner she feared it'd happen again, and the feeling just intensified at night, when every kind of creature could lurk in the shadows without her knowing. With the raincoat folded over her arm, she took his hand, both because it was nice and because it felt safer that way. "By the way, there's something I should tell you. But you must promise you won't get upset. Alright?" She glanced sideways at him.
