(Back for a little bit!)
Arthur was awake by the time she came. His rest was sleepless, and he was up most of the night. But he wasn't too tired, since he'd slept much yesterday. When the knock came, he sighed. He definitely didn't want fruit, but he didn't want to turn away the girl after he had scared her. "Come in." He stretched a little bit and rubbed his face, then ran a hand through his hair. He was standing by the window, gazing out and watching the elves. "Your medicine is incredible. Aside from a bit of weakness, I feel like nothing happened yesterday."

"Do they not have medicine like that among humans?" Melainna asked curiously as she entered, setting the bowl of fruit on his bedside table. She looked hesitantly at him, before backing towards the door. "I can leave you to eat, if you don't want me here," she said softly.
Arthur shook his head slightly. "Not at all. Our medicine just helps the pain go away, but it doesn't heal the wounds. It simply keeps them from getting infected." As she started backing up, he sighed. "I'm not hungry, but thank you. You don't have to leave. I wasn't feeling well yesterday, that's why I wanted you to leave. I apologize. I didn't mean to upset you."
(Gotta go for a bit again sorry lol posting is gonna be sporadic for the rest of the day until after dinner)
"Mm..." Melainna hugged herself, watching the human. "When do you plan of leaving?" she asked quietly, staying in the room but near the door.
Arthur was quiet for a few moments. "Immediately. Can you go see if the chieftain will come speak to me?" He wanted to leave. He couldn't stand being here any longer. The memories were too much.(brb for an hour)
Melainna blinked, before nodding and running off. Soon enough, Saelhil entered the room.
"What do you need, human?" he asked, quirking a brow.
"What do you need, human?" he asked, quirking a brow.
Arthur sat by the table while she was gone, spinning a piece of fruit around on the table. It spun off the table and hit the floor, and Arthur clenched his hands into fists. Fight it. Fight the memories. When Saelhil came in, he looked over. "I need to leave." he said firmly. "Your medicine healed me, and I thank you for it. Now I want to go home."
(Back for an hour then I'll be gone for three hours lol)

Saelhil blinked, then smiled slightly. "Ah, wonderful.myes, of course. Feel free to leave now; your carriage is prepared, and your horses have been fed and cared for. Everything is ready for your departure." He clasped his hands together. Perfect! The human was leaving!
Arthur nodded and stood up. "Thank you. Where is Belle? I want to say goodbye to her so she doesn't worry. I'm glad she's back with her family." He walked past Saelhil and went outside, finally outside, and looked for Belle. He wanted to leave. He couldn't handle it here anymore. The memories were too painful. The fruit that had fallen still lay there on the floor. He hadn't touched it.
"I'll tell her you've recovered and left," Saelhil said, following him out. "After all, I don't want her getting too emotional over your leaving, and trying to go with you or convince you to stay. You needn't worry about her anymore."
Arthur frowned slightly. "No. I'll talk to her myself, thank you." He saw Belle and walked up to her, ignoring Saelhil. "Belle? I hope I'm not interrupting anything. I just wanted to say goodbye, since I'm heading home now." He smiled gently. "...I'm glad you found your family. It was nice meeting you, Belle, and I'm glad I could bring you back here." He held out his hand. "Goodbye, Belle."
Saelhil sighed heavily, following after, murmuring something under his breath.
Belle blinked when Arthur approached. She blinked. "You're... leaving?" she repeated softly, searching his face. He held out his hand to her, and her cheerful expression immediately dropped. She froze for a moment, glanced at her father who was nearby, and took a breath. "...goodbye." She straightened her back a bit and quietly shook his hand, her grip weak. She watched him for a moment, before quickly turning away and hurrying inside her new home, with Saelhil following after her. Arthur would see his carriage just at the village edge, and no elves would pay him too much mind at the moment.

Arthur smiled gently. "I'll tell Mary the good news." He watched her hurry away, then walked over towards the carriage. He hesitated and looked back towards the house. Would she be okay? She was worried about fitting in. Arthur saw Melainna and he gestured her over quickly. "Do me a favor, will you please? Tell Belle that I'll be back in a week to check up on her. I want to make sure she's going well in her new home." He smiled gently. "Thank you for everything you've done for me, Melainna." Then he got into his carriage, and went back home.
Melainna blinked, and hesitated before nodding her head. "Goodbye, Mr. Arthur..." As she went back towards the chieftain's house, she worried. The chieftain wouldn't like the human returning so soon...
Just as he promised, a week later Arthur was riding back into the village, this time on a horse, no carriage. He stopped at the edge of the village and got off his horse, smiling a little bit. He didn't want to be back, but he looked forward to seeing how Belle was doing with her family. He walked through the village and asked where she was. He knew he'd be recognized. Hopefully this time he wouldn't be attacked.
(Gotta go for three hours now, sorry!)
Though he was given a few glares, no one tried to hurt Arthur when he returned to the village. He was told that Belle was likely out in the forest somewhere. The girl apparently liked to steal away there, alone, so Arhur would have to go searching for the girl half-dozing at the base of a tree in the woods. Thankfully no one told Saelhil about Arthur's return yet.
{Ach, finally, I'm officially on spring breeeeeeaaaaak!}
Arthur wandered through the woods, listening and looking. This troubled him. She was with her family now. Why would she want to be alone like this? When he found her, he hesitated. He didn't want to wake her, but this was the perfect place to ask her about her life here. He walked over and sat down nearby, but definitely not too close. "Belle?" he asked gently.
