(gotta go for a bit, I'll be on in an hour or two!)
{Byeee!}
Belle stood as well and sighed a bit, nodding. "I suppose so." She stretched her arms above her head, and moved to start heading back to the village. "So... What are you bad experiences with elves, that you mentioned before? I would think you'd feel disgusted or scared for them because of what your father did." She glanced at him, thinking it was a perfectly innocent question.

(Back!)
Arthur walked along with her, but he froze when she asked about his experiences. "...I don't know why I don't have problems with elves." He took in a breath and let it out. "...an elf killed my mother." His hands clenched into fists as he tried to relax and hold it in.

Belle blinked, and quickly looked down at her feet. "I'm sorry, Arthur." As if her apology could make up for another elf killing his own mother.
Arthur sighed softly. "...we came with father to an elven village. We thought he was coming to make a treaty. The place seemed deserted. We didn't know they were lying in wait. While dad was walking around, mom and I went to one of the houses. She knocked, but nobody answered. She went inside, kind of worried. We saw some fruit on the table. Mom picked one up and held it out to me. I was really little back them. She held it out to me, and she told me that they had the tastiest fruit ever. And then suddenly...there was an arrow through her. An elven warrior had come up from behind. The fight had started outside while we were waiting and we didn't even know. The arrow went right through her stomach, and it even scratched me." He pulled his hair back to show the scar on the side of his head. "...she fell on top of me, and hid me from the warrior. With the loss of her life, she saved mine..."
"Oh sweet Elim..." Belle put her hand over her mouth, pausing her walk. She was silent for a long while. "How could they do something like that, when that's exactly what happened to us...? An unarmed woman and a...a child..." After a few moments she covered her face. "I'm so, so very sorry, Arthur...!" And she was suddenly crying.
Arthur just stood silent and somber. He didn't even have it in him to try to comfort her. "Well...my father was attacking the village. We thought he was making peace with it. So they just went to kill any human they saw, I guess..." He closed his eyes. "...father didn't stop after that..." That was what was the worst. He had kept attacking. It was like his wife had meant nothing to him. "That's why I can't stay here long. It...hurts too much."
Belle cried silently for a little while. Eventually, she was able to calm herself enough to speak. "...I think my brother is out by the river. I'm going to go spend some time with him. You... You can leave the pastries in my home, if you wish." She didn't want to be near Arthur, or anyone else. Currently she was hating both elves and humans.
Arthur looked over at her. "...alright. Goodbye, Belle." He left her alone, and took the pastries. Then he went to her house and left them on the table, hoping he would miss her parents.
Arthur would have no trouble getting home; no one would bother him.
However, about five days later, a knock would come at Arthur's home's door. Well, more like the pounding of a fist.

Arthur opened the door himself, since he'd happened to be walking past. He opened the door. "Yes? Can I help you?" Mary came over nearby, but loitered behind since her master had opened the door.
"Is Belle here?" It was Valenthion. He knocked back the hood that covered his ears. With his human clothes and his ears covered, he easily passed as a human. His blind eyes seemed worried. Had they sent a blind man to a city by himself?! "Please tell me she's here." His voice sounded anxious.
Arthur stared. "What? No, she's not here. What are you talking about? Where is she? How did you get here?" He stepped back and gently pulled Valenthion in, closing the door. "Tell me everything, now."
Valenthion stepped inside and took a breath. "Belle disappeared yesterday. We thought she would turn up by morning, but she didn't. So I rode here to see if she had come back to you." He shivered slightly from the slight chill of the autumn air outside. "The others are searching the forest around our village but she's yet to be found. If there's anything you can do to help, please do it. I don't want my sister getting near humans on her own."
Arthur took in a sharp breath, then looked to Mary. "Get the horse. Send George out to hear rumors and see if anyone caught an elf girl recently." He took Valenthion's arm and left with him quickly. "Come on. I'm going to help you. We can look through the town and city first, and then go back to the forest."
Valenthion nodded firmly and put up his hood again. He mounted his horse... Okay, how on earth was a blind man supposed to ride a horse, much less look for his sister in a huge mass of people? Well he seemed in control of his horse, surprisingly.
Arthur just hoped he was looking with his aura thing. "Just stay close to me, alright?" He mounted his own horse, and hurried off to search for Belle. (Sorry for the super short post, I need major sleep xD )
{No worries xD}
Valenthion nodded, staying with Arthur as they went off searching through the streets. "...she said nothing to me before she left," he said as they went along. "Did you pick up on anything from her?"

Arthur took off to the streets, looking around quickly. "She couldn't stand the hate. I know that. Did your father do anything yesterday that might have provoked her?" He frowned. Where would she go? Why would she leave? Why wouldn't she just wait until he came to visit again? This didn't sit well with him at all. "She would have at least shown some extra kindness to you. She really cares about you."
Valenthion shook his head. "Nothing. She took some supplies, though. Food, a water skin, and some first aid supplies." He sighed heavily. "Her aura did seem a bit pale yesterday, though. Everything seemed normal enough, otherwise." He gulped. "Dear Elim, let her not have been taken..." he murmured. After a bit of time with no success, Valenthion looked to Arthur. "...she wouldn't let herself get caught, would she?" he suddenly asked. "She wouldn't willingly go back to some old master of hers...right?" He didn't know why the thought popped into his head. Belle had said she missed her old life, but Valen was sure she meant before that raid when she was a child, not her life as a slave!...he was being ridiculous, of course she wouldn't.
