Raeliel held his hand, chuckling. "Yes...I was very prejudiced. But I learned, I started to understand and accept." She listened to him as he spoke, and she smiled slightly. It was progress indeed. "But they're starting to do things for our people." she said gently. She held his hand, rubbing her thumb along it. "...we all have some learning and understanding to do. There's never a time when we stop learning. Even us elves who live so long are always learning.."
Saelhil squeezed her hand, closing his eyes for a moment. "...do you think this new generation of humans has changed since the last?" Half a century was about a human generation, wasn't it? Yes, he believed so. Perhaps that was enough to give the humans time to change, become more trustworthy and less barabric.
Raeliel glanced at him. "...it might have. We can always hope it has. But we won't know for sure until we try." She smiled softly and gave his hand a gentle squeeze. "If Arthur is any indication, then it's quite possible that they have indeed changed, at least a little bit. I guess we'll find out more tomorrow." (Going to bed, night!)
{Night!}
"Hmm..." Saelhil inhaled deeply. Could he chance giving his trust to the young race of humans once more? He just stayed in that tree for a while, before eventually he decided it was time to head back inside. So he hopped down to the ground and held out his arms to held Raeliel down, before pulling her into a tight embrace. "I love you, darling," he said softly, tracing her cheek with his fingertips, before reluctantly heading back inside the home.

Raeliel stayed silent and stayed with him, and then she obliged and dropped down into his arms when they were ready to go in. She held him close, taking in his affections. She needed this, honestly, because she had been terribly worried that he would be angry at her from drugging him and taking him here. "I love you too. More than I could ever express, Saelhil." And that was why she was doing this. She held his hand and went back inside with him, where Arthur was at work in his study. Mary was humming lightly as she dusted some shelves and she smiled when they returned. "Welcome back, sir and ma'am! Anything I can help you two with?"
Saelhil glanced to Mary. "Thank you, Mary, but we're fine for now." He squeezed Raeliel's hand. "Who is in charge of the village right now?" he suddenly asked. "An elder? Or Valenthion?" How curious to think that his son would be chieftain while he was away... Not that he would object to it, but it was just an odd thought, to him.
