{Alright!
Of course you go take a nap once I'm hone from school shopping xD}
"That makes perfect sense." Saelhil leaned back casually, inhaling deeply. He watched all the dancers. "Usually a few hours. Tomorrow it will last from noon until sunset, though." He nodded briefly, then looked at her curiously. "My age? Well... I suppose I'll be twenty-three in a few months."

(Sorry X3 I'm back now for the rest of the night, minus eating time lol!)
Raeliel listened to him, nodding. "I see. Well, that will be interesting." When he answered her question, she looked at him for a few long moments. "In a few months? Your birthday is soon?" She looked around at the dancers and the people enjoying the festivities.

{Ack! I have my school's orientation tonight... I should be free around 9, but Idunno if I'll reply until tomorrow morning. See you sooooooon~}
(Okay, have fun! )
Saelhil nodded in response. "Yes, indeed." He smiled at her, turning his gaze out to the dancers. He laughed when a few children joined hands and spun around haphazardly in a circle, nearly know king over some chairs. They were fine, though, so he felt no need to stop them.
Raeliel saw the children as well and she chuckled a bit. It was a rather enjoyable time. After a while she would go back to dancing, but this time she would only dance with Saelhil. She wasn't giving Mirwen a chance to dance with him again. She managed to keep herself from being overcome, at least, and that was nice. The festivities went on, and soon they were drawing to a close. Raeliel was rather tired. All that dancing had worn her out! But she and Saelhil had been approached by many of the people with congratulations, and Raeliel was glad to meet some more of the people she would be leading.
Very soon enough, the sun had begun to set, and people began going home. After a quick word with his father, and a goodnight kiss to his sister, Saelhil led Raeliel to their new home. It was a nice house, not as large as Saelhil's father's, but still a reasonable size. He led her inside, and everywhere, there were flowers in bases, filling the home with a sweet but not overpowering fragrance. Candles lit up the rooms with a gentle glow. Saelhil kind of just led Raeliel upstairs.
"They brought your things over this morning," he told her as he led her into the room they were to share.
"They brought your things over this morning," he told her as he led her into the room they were to share.
Raeliel looked around the house as they stepped in. It was amazing, and it smelled beautiful. "Oh, really? Okay. Wow...this place is so nice. It's beautiful...the flowers...wow, it must have taken them a while." She looked around at the room. Oh, right. Sharing a room, sharing a bed. She glanced at him, then looked away. "...would it be sacrilegious if I washed off my 'glow' paint now?" She looked over at him. She wasn't sure how long they were supposed to have it on.
"Go ahead." Saelhil nodded. He reached up and rubbed his own cheek for a moment, but the paint was too dry to rub off. "Do you need help getting it off?" He looked around, then saw the bottle and cloth left on the desk. "This salve is the best way to get it off. Water won't help much."
Raeliel went to the bottle and cloth. "Do you have mirrors?" They might be too sophisticated for the natural elves. If they didn't have mirrors, then she would need his help. "If not, then you could help me." She glanced at him, then looked away and looked around the room. It was a nice room at least. Very pretty. She wondered if everything could work out a bit better. Better than she first thought.
Saelhil glanced around, then opened a drawer. "It isn't the mirror you're used to..." He pulled out a circle of silver. It was overly-polished to the point of being pretty close to a mirror. He held it out to her, watching her for a response.
Raeliel looked at the circle, making a slight face. "Certainly not..." It wasn't big, either, so she decided to shake her head slightly and put it back in the drawer. "I would probably get better results if you help me." She didn't want to walk around with smidges of Glow still on her face because she couldn't see clear enough on a silver 'mirror'. She held out the cloth and salve to him, waiting. "...do you need me to help you then, as well?"
"If you would, I would like it very much. You just need to help me with my face." As a man, Saelhil also had some Glow trailing down his arm and spreading out on to his fingers. He opened the bottle and poured some of the white salve onto it, then quietly took Raeliel's chin and began to wipe her cheek with it. "If you'd like, I could sleep in another room," he said as he worked, keeping himself focused on whatever area he was cleaning. His voice was slow, and smooth, but hesitant, because his mind wasn't focusing solely on speaking.
Raeliel watched him, listening as he spoke. "That would cause rumors." She spoke carefully, since he was cleaning her face. "We may live in our own house now, but if anyone found out we spent the first night in separate rooms, it might cause a fuss." At least, it would certainly cause a fuss in her home. She gave a slight sigh. "Besides, we can't sleep in separate rooms forever. We might as well get used to sleeping together from the start. In my case, my life has already changed so much, I might as well add this to the rest so it makes adjustment easier."
"Hm." Saelhil nodded. He gently pushed back Raeliel's hair and wiped across her forehead. "You certainly are determined to make this work," he commented. "I admire you for that." In just a few moments, he finished. He held out the cloth to her, then sat down so that she wouldn't have to reach up to get his face.
Raeliel stayed very still, letting him finish wiping her face. "Of course I am..." She stared at him for a moment, not sure how to take the compliment. "Well...thank you." She took the cloth and salve and wiped his face gently, rubbing carefully to get his Glow off. "...don't you want to make this work, Saelhil?" She finished wiping off his face, pausing a moment with the cloth still against his face. She hadn't been on her guard - his eyes caught her again.
Saelhil gazed at her, studying her eyes for a few moments. "Of course I do." He reached up to take the cloth, but his hand ended up lingering over hers. "I want our relationship to be very real, not just for what other people would think. I don't want our marriage just to be for show."
Raeliel blinked out of the trance when he put his hand on hers. "Here, you can get the rest. Your face is clean." She pulled away and handed him the salve and cloth, then got up to go get her nightgown. She looked around. "...is there a separate room for changing, or perhaps a changing screen?" Probably not. They were supposed to be married. But 'getting naked in front of him' was not on her adjustment schedule yet.
"Overs there. The ah, changing screen." Saelhil gestured briefly to the corner, then watched her for a moment. He sighed and shook his head slightly, then began to clean his arms and hands quietly.
Raeliel walked over to the screen and pulled it open to step behind. Once she was hidden, she got changed. Once she was changed, she came out. It was a pretty nightgown, but modest. She wasn't wearing anything revealing, certainly not. But it was quite a lovely nightgown in a light pastel color. "...I think I'm going to get to bed."
