Saelhil nodded. While Raeliel was behind the screen, he had changed as well. For bed, he only wore loose pants, but he decided to wear a shirt, seeing as he was sleeping with a woman and he didn't know what quite to expect. With himself cleaned and his hair pulled back loosely, he sort of just flopped into bed, a bit childishly, pulling the blankets over himself, leaving room for Raeliel.

Raeliel walked over to the bed as well and climbed in, pulling the blankets over her as well. "...goodnight, Saelhil." She rolled onto her side with her back to him, and closed her eyes. Somehow, it felt....lonely. Even though she was in a bed with a man, she felt lonely. However, that was how she felt every single night since she'd come here. Which was...only two or three. She sighed. Maybe this would feel better after she got used to living here, she wouldn't feel so lonely every night. So...out of place. Raeliel waited, and soon just fell asleep.

The next morning, Saelhil found himself urged awake by something. Be it a noise or pre-dawn light, he awoke, and found himself holding on rather tightly to Raeliel. Gently, he slid his arms away from her and sat up, rubbing his head. What was that dream he had been having?...he couldn't quite remember. He shook his head and stretched his arms for a few moments, then eased himself back down, just watching the ceiling for a bit. Was it too early to get up? He felt rather fatigued, but his mind was wide awake.

Raeliel stirred when he moved, waking up from the sudden lack of bodyheat. She opened her eyes, then looked over at Saelhil. Her mind was still waking up. She was rather groggy. "S..Sael...?" She yawned and rubbed her eyes, then sat up. "What...what time is it..?" She looked to the window, and took in a deep breath. She laid back down and closed her eyes, "How long until guests start coming with presents?" She didn't really want to get up yet.

Saelhil glanced over at her. "Not for a few hours," he murmured. Because he had just woken up, his voice was rather low and a bit groggy. "I'm sorry I woke you up." He rubbed his eyes before trying to get comfortable again beneath the blankets, wanting to get a bit more sleep, but his mind was too awake to give him that pleasure.

Raeliel nodded slightly and pulled the covers up around her again. She fell right back asleep. Unlike Sael, her mind was quite content to let her sleep again. However, in an hour or so, she stirred again. She yawned and stretched, her fingers brushing against his arm as she settled back into the bed. "Mmnn...Just a couple more minutes, Mirathin.." she murmured, rolling over. Seemed she was still half-asleep. However, Saelhil would know that name. That was the name of her escort that had brought her here.

Saelhil looked over at Raeliel when he felt her move, and he watched her for a moment. Was she... having a dream? It seemed so. But... She was dreaming of Mirathin. What was he to her, back at her home? Had Mirathin been her personal servant? Had he woken her up in the morning with gentle words, then readied her for her day of refined, orderly business? Saelhil shook his head. So Raeliel was dreaming of being home, away from his village, back with the man she claimed she had no feelings for.

Saelhil sat up and without a word went to the small wash room that connected to their bedroom and splashed his face with some water. What did he care? He knew she didn't like his village, and that she was only being kind to him because it was her duty to her people to make the marriage work. But something about her dream being so real that she actually spoke just irked him... But then again, it could have just been a habit Raeliel had come to have over the years. Yes, of course. It had to be just a habit, not a dream. Of course.

Raeliel felt the bed shift and she slowly started waking up some more, but she still didn't open her eyes. "Where are you going..?" She sat up and rubbed her eyes, finally opening them. "Mirathin, your shift doesn't--" And then she realized where she was. She was not home. For a moment, it was nearly enough to make her cry. But she managed to collect herself enough to look around. Saelhil. Had he heard her talking? If he did, that could be bad. She cleared her throat slightly. "Saelhil? Are..you still here?" He wouldn't have left without waking her, would he?? She got up, spotting the washroom doorway and slowly walking towards it. Considering the circumstances, she was actually hoping he hadn't been in there, because if he had, he would have heard her. She couldn't believe she'd spoken aloud like that. She had been dreaming, and so when she woke, she thought her dream had been real, and that she was home. At the moment, she was mentally cursing her foolish brain for giving her such dreams.

Saelhil heard Raeliel talk more to Mirathin, and he felt his muscles tighten a bit. He quickly shook his head and washed his face properly. He couldn't let it get to him. There was nothing he could do to change her mind about him, or about his home or his people. Raeliel's body might be with him, but her heart was still in her own village... with Mirathin...

He took a breath to try and clear his thoughts, then pushed open the door to the washroom quietly. He was now faced with Raeliel, who was (hopefully) fully awake now. He put on the best smile he could muster at the moment. "Good morning."

Raeliel blinked as the door opened and he was there. However, after a moment, she smiled back at him a little. "..Good morning. I um...I didn't wake you throughout the night at all, did I? I'm...not quite sure if I kick while I sleep, or something..." She chuckled a little bit, then stepped aside to let him pass. "So uh...do we have time for breakfast before any guests start arriving?" She went to wash her face as well, then came out and looked at her clothes. "...Saelhil." She looked over at him. "...what should I wear?" She had no idea what was proper or improper to wear for an occasion like this.

"Of course not. You were fine." Saelhil was already changing behind the changing screen. He came out in rather casual clothes. "I believe Ralda delivered your new clothes yesterday," he said quietly, now running a comb briefly through his hair before pulling it back. "You don't have to be formal today."

Raeliel listened to him and nodded a little. She looked through her clothes and found the new ones Ralda had brought. They were quite obvious to her, since they weren't like any of her other clothes. "...I may have to get a completely new wardrobe." She sighed, then took her new clothes and went behind the screen. When she was finished changing, she came out and put her nightgown away, then took a brush and went through her own hair. It was more bothersome without a mirror, but she supposed she would make do. Maybe mirrors, proper mirrors, was something she could introduce to the village.

After she'd finished brushing her hair, she braided it, and then looked over to Saelhil. Her eyes rested on the ring around his neck, and that made her look to the ring on her own finger. Right. Marriage. Well...maybe it wouldn't be TOO bad. Still, she didn't know what in the world had overcome her yesterday.

Saelhil sighed softly, then looked out the window for a moment. He fiddled absent-mindedly with the ring around his neck, then moved towards the door. "There is fresh fruit in the kitchen," he told her. "Many people bring food along with their gifts, though. It is your choice whether you want breakfast or not."

Raeliel listened to him. "...oh. Alright, thanks." She let him leave the room, first, then she looked out the moment as well. That lonely feeling had returned. She sighed and shook her head, then went to get a piece of fruit and some water from the kitchen. She'd just have one piece of fruit, so that she could eat the food that was brought by the guests but not be too hungry. The house was a nice house. She had absolutely nothing to complain about. It was...homey. And she kind of liked that.

Saelhil skipped out on breakfast, and he stepped outside the front door. He was knocked back inside, though, by a certain little sister. Talainna clung to Saelhil's waist.

"Sael!"

He smiled a bit and picked Talainna up, spinning her around. "Good morning, princess!" he greeted cheerfully, kissing her forehead. "And just what are you doing here?"

"I was lonely, so I came to see you and Raeliel." Talainna grinned, hugging his neck. Saelhil suddenly felt something very strange in his stomach. She came to see him and Raeliel.

Raeliel heard a familiar voice and brightened. She walked out into the hallway and smiled at who she saw. "Talainna! Hey, I didn't expect you to come this early. Aren't you tired out after all that dancing, little ballerina?" She chuckled softly and walked over to the girl. "Did you have fun yesterday, Talainna?" She liked Saelhil's sister. She was so nice, and kind, and innocent. Not at all stubborn or anything like her brother. "Have you seen the house yet, Talainna? If not, then we must give you a tour!"

Talainna smiled. "Yesterday was so much fun!" She wiggled happily in Saelhil's arms. "Father hasn't allowed me in here, so yes please!" She kissed Saelhil's cheek, then wiggled out of his grip and took Raeliel's hand, quite ready for a tour. Ah yes, that definitely struck a sour chord with Saelhil.

Raeliel took the child's hand and smiled, but then paused and looked over. "Are you coming, Saelhil?" She gestured for him to join them. After all, he was probably used to being with his sister every day. "It's a very nice house, Talainna, I'm sure you'll like it. I am very glad you had fun yesterday. Sorry I didn't get to dance with you more often." She had to make sure Saelhil wasn't taken by Mirwen again, after all.

Saelhil followed them, putting on a smile even though he felt rather hurt that Talainna liked Raeliel so much. He didn't have much to say, so he just let the girls talk.

"It's alright..." Talainna giggled, following along. "You can make up for it by going leaf-walking with me today." She smiled brightly.
