Raeliel looked to where he pointed, and the rocky cliffs that waited for them. "Are you sure it's safe?" She looked at him warily. "Trees aren't safe for me, after all. I think such a perilous drop is more serious than a few trees." She was worried. She didn't want anything to happen to them. She had almost killed him with falling out of that tree. She didn't want it to happen with the cliffs.

"Don't worry. We won't be climbing them." Saelhil gave her arm a reassuring squeeze. "We'll get to the cove from the ground." He had often visited the cove, and he and his father would sometimes climb the rocks, much to the unease of his mother. But it was all in fun, and they didn't get hurt.

Raeliel smiled a little as he reassured her. "..Alright." She gave a little nod, then just continued to walk with him. There was much to walk, yet, but it was a nice walk. She rather enjoyed it. It wouldn't be near so enjoyable without him, however. His presence was what she enjoyed so greatly. Her mind went back to that morning, and the human. His company hadn't been too bad, either. But not like Saelhil's.
(I'm gonna scoot off for a quick nap (half hour to an hour), and then dinner, but I'll respond before I go eat, and after I eat, I'll be back )

{Alrighty~ I've got some friends coming over to spend the night (since school's off tomorrow) so I will be extremely poofy the rest of the day}

After a little while, they came to where the sand melted into dark grey stone. Saelhil led her along the stone a bit towards the water, then ducked into a small passage, about a foot too short for him, but he just had to bend down a bit. "Usually we swim to the cove, but I don't trust those waves, if a storm's coming," he told her, pulling her along a tunnel.

Raeliel followed him into the passageway and along the tunnel, holding his hand. "Ah...yes, I'd much rather not swim right now." She did not want to be subject to the cruel waves like yesterday. Still, this way was a bit...adventurous! It was rather exciting, and quite new to her.

Just a few moments later, the tunnel opened up into a large cavern. Saelhil straightened himself and smiled at her, then gestured to the water. "Welcome to the cove." There was a small tunnel of light leading to the water, making light dance off the waves and onto the walls and ceiling of the cavern. In the various pools of water stemming from the main one, small, colorful fish and small sea creatures swam around.

Raeliel gasped softly as they entered, and she looked around. "Wow..." It was amazing. She went over to some of the pools and looked at them, smiling. So beautiful. She crouched down, watching the fish. "I've never been somewhere like this before. It's so beautiful..." She looked up at him and smiled. "Coming?" She gestured for him to come beside her.

Saelhil smiled a bit and followed, crouching beside her. "Do you see those little blue fish?" he asked, gesturing to a small group of guppies. "They'll suck on your fingers if you wiggle your fingers around on the surface."

Raeliel looked at the fingers he pointed to, then giggled. "Really?" She dipped a couple fingers into the water to test it out, smiling. When the fish went and nibbled on her fingers, she laughed lightly. "It tickles!!" She had to pull her fingers away soon because it tickled so much. "Wow...This is so beautiful." She went to stand up and move to one of the other pools, but her foot slipped. She suddenly found herself falling right onto Saelhil and bringing them both to the ground, her on top of him. "Sorry..." She blushed, embarrassed at her clumsiness.
And then...she realized how close their faces were. She looked into his eyes, staring into them deeply for a long few moments. She found herself slowly, slowly leaning in. But just before their lips would touch, she found her toe had dipped into the water when she fell, and certain little guppies were now nibbling at it! She pulled back and gasped from the tickling, pulling her foot out of the water quickly. (Oops. Half-wrote my post and forgot I never finished it and hit enter. )

Saelhil laughed at her enjoyment, watching as she tested out his suggestion. He had moved to stand up with her, but he had barely started straightening his legs when she slipped, and pushed him onto the ground.

He, too, became aware of the closeness. His eyes slid half-closed as he leaned up slightly, waiting for the contact. He could feel her breath on his lips, and was sure they would kiss, but... The guppies seemed to have her attention more than he did. And honestly, he felt a bit disappointed.

Raeliel blushed as she realized how things had suddenly gotten awkward. She looked down at him for a moment, then got to her feet. "Sorry. Are you okay?" She took in a deep breath and let it out. She wouldn't say it, but she was disappointed too. She looked at him for a moment, then looked away.

Saelhil sat up, then stood as well. "Yes, I'm fine. Are you?" He straightened his shirt for a moment. Hat had been rather close... How many times had they almost kissed, now? Three? He couldn't remember. But she seemed to be hesitant, so he decided she wasn't trying to do it on purpose... Or was she?

Raeliel nodded. "Yes. I'm sorry, the ground was more wet than I thought it would be..." She looked at him for a few long moments, her gaze lingering on his face and lips. She blushed as she realized it and quickly looked away, going to one of the other pools of water to look at it. She couldn't believe they had almost kissed again. She touched her own lips softly, lost in thought. Their first kiss, at the wedding ceremony. It may have been forced, but it was...nice. What would a kiss be like now that they knew each other better? She shook her head quickly, lowering her hand. Her cheeks were pink. She had to stop thinking about it.

Saelhil watched her, then shook his head slightly and went to join her. Did she even want to kiss him? Sure, they had kissed on their wedding day, but now... She probably wasn't interested, at least not now. But the real question is: Did he want to kiss her? He honestly didn't know at the moment, but perhaps he did...

Raeliel watched the water, trying not to pay much attention to his presence. She just looked at the fish. There was a rather awkward silence between them now, probably because they were so lost in their own thoughts. She finally just sat down, and looked up at the ceiling. The rippling water cast beautiful shimmering reflections up on the ceiling of the cove.

After a while, Saelhil shifted a bit and walked towards the tunnel, peering out so he could see the sky. A few dark clouds had begun to appear on the horizon, and the waves had begun to become rough. "We shouldn't stay much longer," he said. The clouds were far off, but coastal storms moved onto land quickly.

Raeliel looked over at him when he spoke. "...let's go now." She stood and made her way over, letting him lead her through to the other side. It was a pretty cove, but she seemed in a hurry to get back home now that the storm seemed to be getting closer. She looked at Saelhil for a moment, then out at the clouds and water. "How long will it take to get home?" It took them a half hour to walk there, hadn't it? She didn't like the thought of having to walk a half hour all the way back.

"The same amount of time it took to get here," Saelhil reasoned, starting to walk along the beach, back towards the house. "You could run, I suppose, and make it there faster."

Raeliel rolled her eyes. "I don't need to run." She just walked along with him, but as thunder started to rumble, she seemed less confident in her declaration. Her pace picked up, moving quicker, certainly much faster than she had walked there in the first place. She was rather tense. Not quite happy with the storm coming towards them. Finally, a flash of lightning was seen and she dashed off, running towards the house. When she reached it she went inside and sat down, breathing deeply.

"Raeliel!" Saelhil took after her when she began running, a bit confused but also worried. She wasn't afraid of storms, was she? He slowed as he entered the house, looking at her. "Raeliel? Are you alright..?"
