"Don't apologise," Saelhil said firmly, watching her. "I'll have you know that you're the best wife I've ever had." He offered a smile along with his gentle tease, trying to get her mind off things. He kissed her temple and turned to put the shears on the counter before cleaning up the hair from the floor.
Saelhil chuckled softly. "I'm the only wife you've ever had." She leaned back a little in the chair and let him take care of things. She didn't feel like eating, but she knew he probably did. "Do you want me to make you something for dinner? I'm not hungry, but I could make you something if you want." He liked her cooking after all, and he didn't seem to know how to cook much else from stew.
"Minor details..." Saelhil smiled, then shook his head. "I'm not particularly hungry, either." He finished cleaning up, and it was already sunset.
(...*Raeliel*. This is what I get for posting when I'm only half paying attention )
Raeliel got to her feet, looking at him. "...can we go up to the star room?" She went to go upstairs, but suddenly there was a knock on the door. Raeliel froze in fear. But, when Saelhil opened the door, he would not find just the human who had caused Raeliel so much pain, but also the older man who the human had been working the stall with. Apparently, the older man forced the human, Roy, to come and apologize. Raeliel did not move an inch. "Go on, Roy!" the older man said, slapping him on the back of the head, "Y'got what ya deserved for trying to fuss with a married woman!"
And that was when Raeliel noticed something. Her ring. Her ring was gone. And just like that, she was stirred out of her stupor. She rushed right up to him. "Where is it?! Give it back, you thief!! Give me back my ring!!" The wedding ring that Saelhil had put on her finger.

{Don't worry! Saelhil doesn't mind talking with himself xD}
Saelhil's eyes narrowed at the two humans, especially the younger one, Roy. He opened his mouth to reprimand him, but then Raeliel brought his attention to the ring... or rather, lack thereof. Without a moment's hesitation, Saelhil grabbed Roy's shirt and spun the human around to pin him against the wall, twisting the man's arm so that Roy's elbow pressed into his own back. "Where is her ring, you filthy thief?" he growled in a tone similar to his voice when they had first met. "Return the ring at once or you will have little use of your arm for the rest of your pitiful life!"

Even the older man was surprised at this turn of events; he hadn't expected it in the least! Roy groaned and tried to struggle, but Saelhil had pinned him quickly and efficiently. "I-in my pocket! Ouch!" Roy said, still trying to free himself. Raeliel was the one to reach for it, and she retrieved it quickly. That lovely ring. She held it in her hand and glared at him. "...so this was what you wanted the whole time, wasn't it? A chance to steal my ring."
Saelhil was tempted to break the man's arm, but he knew that humans were pitiful creatures, even with full use of their bodies, so he released this Roy. "I suggest you leave, human," he said, gesturing stiffly to the door, "before I become angry with you."
(Gotta close up, I'll post in a few min)
Roy stumbled away, but then started to take off. The older man grabbed him and ended up dragging him away, threatening to turn him in to the guards for his behavior. Raeliel looked at the ring for a moment, then slowly slid it back onto her finger. "...let's go upstairs." She left without another word, going up to the star room.
Saelhil watched the humans leave, then turned and followed Raeliel upstairs, staying close to her. "Despicable humans..." he murmured under his breath, huffing. He shook his head to try and forget about it and enjoy the rest of the night.
{I'm going to bed. Good night~}
{I'm going to bed. Good night~}
(Me too! Night!)
Raeliel settled down on the cushions and stared up at the colorful sky, waiting for it to turn dark and sparkling. "...I can't believe he would take someone's ring..." She looked down at it. She felt bad for not having noticed, but then again she'd been in a lot of emotional turmoil until their arrival.

Saelhil lay down beside her, exhaling softly. "He's human. What else would they want?" he asked begrudgingly. He could feel the cool metal of his ring against his chest, hidden on the chain beneath his shirt. He hadn't taken it off since their wedding; it just felt right to wear it. He glanced briefly over at Raeliel. "At least you have it back now."
Raeliel sighed and stared up at the sky. When he spoke of having it back, she nodded. "Yeah...Yeah, I do." She was glad she had it back. She closed her eyes. "Tell me when the stars come out." She just wanted to try and relax for a few moments, and not worry about something. It felt weird laying down with short hair, but she didn't want to think about that. She just wanted to relax.
(*bloops away for classes, will try to post inbetween if possible*)
Saelhil nodded, gazing upwards at the sky. After about half an hour, the stars were twinkling above them. He gently nudged Raeliel. "There they are," he said softly. Though the sky was now painted dark, the stars were bright and beautiful.
Raeliel stirred and opened her eyes. "Thank you." She looked up at the sky, watching the stars. She moved a little closer to him, resting her head on his shoulder and staring up at the sky. It was beautiful. It was so beautiful and bright. "...I wish I was a star. Up in the sky. It must be so wonderful, to watch the world, and see everything moving on."
Saelhil reached down, grabbing her hand an intertwining their fingers. "It must be nice," he agreed quietly. "But I don't know if I would want to spend my life watching other people's troubles. I think I'd rather stay here so that I can enjoy the stars." He smiled a little, then watched as a star shot across the sky.
Raeliel listened to him and chuckled softly. "...that might be true." She held his hand, her ring touching against his skin with the way their fingers were intertwined. Raeliel watched the stars, twinkling, sparkling. The occasional shooting star graced their presence, but for the most part, it was just staring up at the beautiful sky. "...let's go home tomorrow morning."
Saelhil nodded. "Yes, I think we should. Who knows what trouble Talainna has gotten into while we were away?" He sighed contently.
Raeliel chuckled softly as he mentioned his sister. "Oh, I'm sure it's not that bad. She's a good girl." She glanced over at him, looking over him carefully, studying his face. Well, she couldn't have asked for a more handsome husband. "..Are you sure my hair doesn't make me ugly? Answer me honestly."
