Unfortunately for Saelhil, Raeliel wouldn't be giving him any hints on what he could do. No, she had to pretend that she was just fine, that he didn't need to do anything. She had to be the perfect wife. She let him do what he needed, and just made sure that the lower floor and the star room were all nice and cleaned. Any food was packed up to be taken with them, since it would go bad staying there. Once that was completed, she waited. She wanted to go up and help anyways, but he had said no, and she had to listen to her husband's command.
Saelhil came downstairs, bags slung over his shoulders. He was a bit astonished at how much Raeliel had managed to get done in such a short amount of time. "You certainly work quickly, don't you?" He smiled a bit at her, then nodded to the door. "Let's go." He went to get the food she had packed up so neatly and went out to the horses to tack them up.
Raeliel smiled happily when he praised her quick work. Good! She was succeeding in showing him that she could be a perfect wife. "I just wanted to do some cleaning up." Modesty and being humble was important as well. A good wife doesn't brag or act like she's better than her husband. "Alright." She went out with him to the horses and helped get their things settled, then she mounted her own horse and let him lead. She just hoped she could be as perfect a wife once they were back in his home.
Once everything was pack Saelhil led them home at a brisk pace, eager to be back in the village, and to see how Talainna was holding up. In the back of his mind, he was quietly hoping for the bit of affection that had grown between him and Raeliel to remain there, even when they were with other people. The fake love they had shown the first day or two felt stiff and unnatural to him; their time at the beach house was lovely, and part of him almost wished they could stay forever. But they had lives to return to, and people who cared about them, so running away to be alone wasn't an option.
Raeliel was quiet for most of the trip unless he started up conversation. She was curious as well, as to how life would be now that they would be in his home. When they arrived at the village, she was still surprised at how warmly they were welcomed back and greeted. His people were quite kidn, there was indeed that great feeling of community. With their time at the beach, Raeliel had forgotten that. As they rode to their house, however, she was terribly aware of her short hair. She played with it nervously, trying to pull it down to make it seem at least a little longer. However, whenever Saelhil looked at her she would put her hands down and act as if nothing was wrong.
Once home, Saelhil dismounted, then helped Raeliel off. He put the bags inside before going to lead the horses back to the stables.
While he was gone, Talainna spotted Raeliel and nearly pushed her over, hugging her tightly. "Raeliel!" she exclaimed cheerfully. "You're home! How was the beach? Did Sael take you to the cove? Did you go swimming?" She looked up at her sister-in-law with glee, then glanced around. "Where's Sael? Did you leave him there?" She giggled.
{Im gonna head to bed. I'll probably be staying home tomorrow due to not being able to breathe so xD Night!}

(ok! I will be on a alot tomorrow probably as well, because I just have a morning class, two hours of work, then errands and nothing else but homework/computer for the day xD)
Raeliel thanked him as he helped her off, then gasped when she was nearly knocked over by the child. She laughed softly and smiled. "Hello, Talainna. The beach was wonderful, yes he did, yes we did, and no I didn't leave him, he is putting the horses in the stable." She chuckled. "He was worried about you, you know. You should tell him all the fun things you did while we were away so he feels better about being away from you." She patted the girl's head and gently pried her off so she could go see Saelhil.

"Was he?" Talainna looked off in the direction of the stables, then looked up at Raeliel. After a moment, she tilted her head. "Why did you cut your hair?" she asked curiously, with the innocence only a child could have. It wasn't accusing, or in disgust, just curious.
Raeliel felt a twinge of shame at the question. "I.. because. It doesn't matter. Now go on, he has been wanting to see you." Even telling a child gave her shame. She just couldn't do it. (Gone for two hrs for work now)
Talainna blinked, then just hugged Raeliel once more and kissed Raeliel's arm (since she wasn't tall enough to kiss Raeliel's face, and Raeliel didn't seem to be a person to pick her up). "Alright... I'll see you later!" With that, she smiled at Raeliel and ran off to find her brother.
(Posting super quick, don't get out of work for a half hour though)
Raeliel was...surprised at the kiss, and confused. She watched the girl hurry away, then gave a soft sigh. And then she realized she was standing outside where everyone can see her, with her short hair. With that realization, Raeliel quickly went into the house. It was going to be much harder bearing her short hair than she expected. Everyone else had such long, beautiful hair. Raeliel tried to keep herself calm. She had to be in a good mood when Saelhil returned, she couldn't let herself get upset about her hair again.

After a while, Saelhil returned, Talainna at his side.
"No, Talainna. I'm not going to tell you!"
"Please, Sael... Pretty please with a cherry on top?"
"Just because you say that doesn't mean it will make me want to tell you."
Saelhil chuckled, scooping Talainna up. "Ah, Raeliel. Did you send her my way? I was hoping to hide from this little trouble-maker." He grinned, spinning his little sister around.
"Come on now, Brother. Please tell me?"
"For the hundredth time, no." Saelhil shook his head. "It's none of your business."

Raeliel heard them coming and collected herself enough so that she was smiling as they returned. "Well, you seemed so worried about her, I thought I'd have her let you know she was fine." She chuckled a little and watched them. "What is she pleading about?" She had no idea what could make the girl ask so much like that. "Did Saelhil tell you we saw turtles?" She smiled at the little girl. "Little baby ones. I heard you like them. Maybe we'll take you with us next time so you can see them too."
"Nothing important, and something that neither of you need to know." Saelhil chuckled and kissed Talainna's cheek.
"The turtles?!" Talainna squealed with joy. "Did you bring me one, Sael? Did you?"
"No, I didn't. You know what Father said."
"But you're married now. So you're an adult. You don't have to listen to Daddy anymore."
"Oh, is that so?" Saelhil grinned a little at his sister's naivety.

Raeliel chuckled a little. "Very well...and don't worry, Talainna. A turtle can't survive coming here, but we'll go see them sometime, alright? How does that sound? Maybe we can find a different animal that needs your love, hm?" She looked over at Saelhil and smiled. "I'll go ahead and make some lunch, you two can get reunited." She went into the kitchen to start preparing their meal. She was very pleased with how she was doing so far in being the perfect wife.
"Lunch? Can I help?" Talainna wiggled out of Saelhil's arms and dashed to Raeliel's side. "I know how to cook!" She grinned and whispered to Raeliel, "I can cook a lot better than Brother... He can't cook at all!" She giggled cheerfully.
Raeliel was surprised when Talainna left SAELHIL to come to HER. That was indeed surprising, and it possibly didn't bode well, with Saelhil being so fond of his sister. "Sure, if you'd like." She couldn't say no to the child. So, she set up a few simple tasks that Talainna could do to help her get lunch ready, which included setting the table once the food was almost done. When it was all finished, she set the food out and smiled at Talainna. "Thank you for your help, Talainna. Why don't you go tell Saelhil that it's time to eat?"
When Talainna went to find her brother, she saw him speaking with a few other men of the village, not far from the house. She brought him back under Raeliel's orders, speaking nonstop about various things that had happened while he and Raeliel were gone. Once at the house, Talainna said that she suddenly remembered that she was going to go out in the woods for lunch with a few other friends, so she kissed Saelhil goodbye and ran off. Saelhil came to sit at the table chuckling. "I'm sorry. I hope Talainna wasn't too much trouble?"
Raeliel smiled and looked up as he came in. "Oh, certainly not. It's alright. She was a great help." She sat down with him, and let him start eating before she would take any bite. She would eat quietly with him, just enjoying the meal for now. She let him start a conversation if he wanted to talk. She was still doing her best to be the perfect wife that she needed to be. Like usual, as soon as they were done eating she would clean up the dishes.
"...are you alright, Raeliel?" Saelhil asked, watching her for a few moments once he was finished eating. "You've been rather quiet since this morning."
