Raeliel stared at him for a moment, but then she smiled softly. "...okay. I promise." She let go of his hands, taking the washcloth and the ointment so that she could treat him now. She'd drink her tea later. He was more important. "...well, looks like we've come to a compromise, huh?" She was glad. Things were finally starting to look up.
Saelhil nodded, smiling a bit. He let her do as she wished to his bruises; as they had no mirrors, he of course had no idea what he looked like at the moment. He could feel his skin swelling a little bit and knew the tender areas were probably where the bruises were.
Raeliel watched him, and once she finished tending to him, she looked at him. "So...what do we do now?" She wasn't sure where they went from here. They had so much that changed in such a short time. (Sorry talking to newbies )
"Well--" Saelhil glanced at the door when the front door had a few knocks. He sighed a bit. "I don't particularly feel like company, that I know. Do you mind if I ask them to come back at another time?" He stood from the bed, moving towards the door.
{Yay newbies haha}
{Yay newbies haha}
Raeliel smiled slightly. "...I don't feel like company either, it's alright." She laid down on her back and let him go take care of whoever was at the door. She felt exhausted, emotionally and physically. She just wanted to curl up in bed with Saelhil and sleep. She smiled a little, noticing how Saelhil was a necessity in her relaxation. He was going to be a necessity for a lot of things now.
Saelhil nodded. He was only downstairs for a few moments before he fell onto the bed with a sigh. He rubbed his face. "Are my bruises truly that unsightly? Mel nearly yelped at the sight of me." He kicked off his shoes using his feet, adjusting himself comfortably on the bed.
Raeliel cuddled up against him when he laid down. "You did get a beating..." She sighed. "But hopefully the ointment will help." She closed her eyes. "...Let's just...go to sleep." She didn't want to bother about anything else right now. She just wanted to sleep, with him.
(Speaking of, I gotta get to bed. I'll post my next response in the morning before class )

"Mm..." Saelhil nodded, then turned slightly so that he could pull her close and she could lay comfortably in the curve of his body. He muttered something in a agreement, then just nuzzled her forehead before falling asleep rather quickly.
{Haha, alright! Night!}
{Haha, alright! Night!}
Raeliel fell asleep as well, cuddled against him comfortably. No bad dreams came that night, nor fitful sleep. She slept peacefully, in the warm arms of her husband. When she woke the next morning, she didn't move. A perfect wife would get up to go make breakfast. She wanted to stay in Saelhil's arms for as long as she possibly could.
Saelhil began shifting a bit around dawn, subconsciously tightening his grip on Raeliel for a moment. After a bit, he reluctantly opened his eyes. "Mm... Morning..." he greeted groggily. The ointment had definitely helped, as his bruises hadn't blackened much overnight, and instead were already fading. Saelhil sleepily nuzzled Raeliel's forehead.
Raeliel smiled as she was held closer to him. "Good morning..." she smiled softly and kept her eyes closed. "..how do you feel? Any better?.." she opened her eyes to look over him, checking to make sure that his bruises weren't getting worse.
Saelhil nodded. "M'fine," he murmured groggily, slurring his words a little bit together to show how tired he still was. He searched her face and found a bit of bruise lingering on her otherwise flawless skin, and he gently ran his thumb over her cheek. "And you?"
Raeliel's skin tingled as he touched her cheek. "Yes...is it bad?" She sighed. First her hair, now her face. She looked into his eyes and smiled softly. "You don't look too bad...I'm so relieved." She was scared Miralin might have done lasting damage.
"You look fine. You can barely see it." Saelhil kissed her forehead, then sat up slowly, stretching his arms above his head. "I feel a bit sore, but nothing more." He smiled at her.
Raeliel smiled when he said that it was barely visible. "Good..." She was so relieved. She watched him as he sat up, then she sat up as well and stretched. "Good. You're sure nothing is broken?" It would be absolutely terrible if he was indeed suffering broken limbs, or broken anything. She was so glad that Miralin had let him live. Miralin had to have let him live. The trained man could have killed Saelhil if he really wanted to.
"I've already told you. I'm sure. Why are you so worried?" Saelhil chuckled and looked over at her. He guessed, so, that Miralin must be a force to be reckoned with. Perhaps Miralin spared him just because Raeliel loved him.
Raeliel looked away. "I'm sorry. I just... I want to make sure you're alright. It's dangerous to fight against Miralin." She watched him, then smiled softly. "Well...this is kind of a new start I guess. So...what should we do?" She stood and stretched. "A bath is probably a good starting point."
"How about we go to the springs?" Saelhil suggested, returning her gentle smile.
Raeliel smiled softly as he spoke. "...that sounds great." They could both use it, with how their bodies tended to be so sore at the moment from the beatings they'd taken. "..I think we should eat first." She laughed softly, blushing. "I'm hungry."
Saelhil laughed. "I agree completely." He got up and embraced her for a moment, kissing her forehead before taking her hand and leading her downstairs for breakfast.
