After a few long, precious moments, Saelhil slowly pulled away, cheeks pink with happiness and pleasure. He smiled softly at her, pulling her a bit closer.
Raeliel closed her eyes as she was pulled closer. She nuzzled against him. She didn't say anything. There were no words that needed to be said, because everything was so perfect, everything had already been said through the kiss. "I'm so glad I married you." That was the only thing she wanted to make sure he absolutely knew.
Saelhil gently pressed his lips to her forehead as his reply, knowing that too many words would ruin the moment. He didn't want to be with anyone else, because moments like this were just... perfect.
Raeliel smiled as he kissed her forehead and looked at him. She just stared at him, watching him for a few long moments. It was just wonderful...She couldn't get enough of him. She closed her eyes. Just being with him was wonderful.
Saelhil smiled, exhaling quietly before closing his eyes. Once he was sure Raeliel was asleep, he would go downstairs to clean up, then do a few quick things before coming back to resume his place next to her.
Raeliel fell asleep rather quickly. She slept long, soundly. When he came back to bed, she would cuddle up closer beside him. "Sael.." she breathed softly. She smiled. She was dreaming of him, apparently.
Saelhil looked down at her, expecting her to be awakening at the movement of the bed as he climbed in, but he found she was still asleep. So was she just groggy, or was she actually dreaming about him? He smiled a little, chuckling softly.
Raeliel slept until morning. When she woke, her eyes fluttered open, and she couldn't imagine a better thing to wake up to. Saelhil. So handsome, so peaceful. She reached over and touched his cheek lightly, then touched his lips. Then she leaned in to give him a soft, sweet peck.
Saelhil was awoken by a sweet, gentle kiss--the best thing to be woken up by, he was sure. After a moment, his eyes flickered open so that he saw the one who kissed him, and he smiled sleepily. He gently nuzzled her forehead, not wanting to break the morning quiet just yet.
Raeliel saw his eyes and she smiled back, nuzzling him back. It was so peaceful, so wonderful. She didn't want to get up, she wanted to stay with him like this forever. However, it was not meant to be. Her stomach gave a hungry rumble, and she blushed at the interruption.
Saelhil was just brushing back Raeliel's hair when he heard the growl, and an amused smile came to his face. "Peckish this morning, are we?" He reluctantly sat up, stretching. "How are you feeling?"
Raeliel pouted as he pulled away and spoke. "Hmn." She took in a deep breath and let it out. "Better...it doesn't hurt as much. I think it's getting better." Or maybe she was just getting used to the pain. Cracked bones don't mend in a day's time. "How about you?" She didn't sit up yet, just watching him.
"Good." Saelhil sighed heavily, not really wanting to actually get out of bed yet. So he ended up laying back down, and closing his eyes for a while. "I'm perfectly fine." His leg was a bit sore, but that was because he had discovered that he had scraped it on the rock, but it was nothing to be worried about.
Raeliel yawned and moved a little closer to him when he laid back down. "Good...I'm glad." She smiled at him, watching him, his features. "Saelhil." She looked at him curiously. "Do you ever think about what your life would be like if you had married Mirwen?" She reached over and took his hand, just holding it calmly. It wasn't like her usual questions of Mirwen, which were seething with jealousy. Now, she really had nothing much to be jealous of.
"Mirwen?" Saelhil repeated, opening his eyes to glance at her, then up at the ceiling. "Not recently. The first few days we were married, though, I'm ashamed to say I did." He squeezed her hand. "But I can't imagine being with anyone but you now." He smiled at her.
Raeliel smiled a little as he spoke. She didn't mind him admitting about the first few days. The first few days were a struggle. "...yeah, I can't either." She brought his hand up to give it a kiss. "...we should eat, but I just want to stay in bed.." she laughed softly. "People will probably get the wrong idea though if we lay in bed all day."
Saelhil laughed quietly along with her. "Well, to be honest, we're newly weds, so no one will really think anything is wrong if we just stay in bed all day..." He smiled, chuckling and touching her cheek affectionately.
Raeliel's face flushed, and she was even more aware of her burning cheeks when he touched her face. "Y-yeah, but I hardly think that this is the right situation to be being newlyweds in." She didn't want to bring up a sad topic, but he flustered her and it was all she could think to say!
Saelhil watched her, and nodded slightly. "Yes, I suppose you're right. Hopefully your father will be sending his letter soon..." His voice trailed off, and he shook his head a bit. "But I'm sure everything will be fine."
(Going to bed now, night!)
Raeliel nodded. "...yeah." She watched him, then just held his hand and stayed close. "We'll be together. No matter what." She nuzzled her face into his chest. "...you're not allowed to leave me with a withered flower, Sael." she said quietly to him. "You're not allowed. You can't."
