Raeliel smiled softly at him. "...yes." She kissed his cheek, then walked along with him to the buffet. She picked out a few things to eat, then watched the other dancers as she ate. She was happy now, at least for the time being. It was nice to just be with him and have a good time and not worry about anything.
Saelhil ate with her, sitting closely with Raeliel. He sighed happily, watching everyone. "This really was a good idea," he told her. "Everyone seems to be having a great time."
Raeliel smiled. "..Thanks. I'm glad I could help keep everyone's mood up. I think we all needed this." She took in a deep breath and let it out, sighing softly. "...Saelhil." She looked at him for a few long moments. "...I love you. I love you so, so much. I'm...I'm so lucky to have you. I am. And I am so, so sorry for how terrible I have been to you ever since you met me."
Saelhil listened quietly, then reached out to take her hand. "You don't have to be sorry," he promised. "We both haven't been as civil as we could have been to one another. But I love you as well, so the way we treated each other is in the past. But if you want forgiveness, I happily give it to you, my princess." He gently kissed the back of her hand.
Raeliel smiled as he spoke to her and held her hand, and she blushed when he said that he forgave her and called her princess. "...thank you." She pulled him in for a hug, holding him close. "...thank you, Saelhil. That is what I want. Thank you." She took in a deep breath and let it out, smiling softly. She was so lucky to have him, so very lucky to have this man. Soon, a new song started up and she pulled back. "..shall we get back to dancing?"
"Mm." Saelhil smiled at her, and stood, pulling her by the hand back into the dance to continue their wonderful night.
Their night of dancing continued, and funny enough, no one dared to interrupt the couple to ask for a dance. Raeliel danced the night away with him, and as things came to a close, she walked back to their home, rather exhausted, but still exhilarated. "That was so wonderful...I'm so glad everything could work out, it was a fantastic time!" She was so very happy.
"It really was." Saelhil smiled cheerfully, chuckling as they entered their home. It felt as if there was no sign of war, and life was as it should be. Once they were in the house, Saelhil wrapped his arms around Raeliel and picked her up, spinning around for a moment before kissing her. When he pulled away, he laughed quietly, overfilled with happiness. "Tonight was absolutely perfect, Rae."
Raeliel gasped at first as she was lifted off the ground, then she laughed as she was spun around. She kissed him back happily, watching him, his features just glowing with joy. "Almost." she corrected, giggling softly before leaning in to kiss him again. A wonderful kiss, one that possibly surpassed all of their kisses they'd ever had before. She couldn't help it. She was so, absolutely happy and so, absolutely in love.
Saelhil effortlessly returned the kiss, keeping one arm wrapped around her waist while his fingers found their way into her short, silky hair, and his thumb grazed softly over her neck. He let the kiss linger for as long as she would let it; it was so wonderful, so passionate, and yet so purely out of love.
Raeliel adored the kiss, adored his touch, and let the kiss go on for as long as they could both hold it. Finally, they had to part, and Raeliel breath in softly. Wow. She leaned in for another kiss, but forced this one to just be a gentle brushing of the lips. It was terribly hard to exercise self-control when she felt so purely and absolutely happy like this.
Saelhil had to suffice with the gentle kiss that followed the first, but his heart was already pounding, so he didn't mind the soft end to their brief show of affection. He rested his forehead against hers, breathing out quietly. "I love you so much," he said softly, watching her with a gentle smile.
Raeliel gave a soft chuckle. "...I love you too." She looked into his eyes, nearly drawn into another kiss. As much as she wanted it, though, she felt she needed to back off. She lifted her hand, brushing it along his cheek, and then brushing his hair from his face gently. She moved her head a little to kiss his nose. "Come on, let's get to bed." She pulled away, reluctantly, and took his hand, walking up to the bedroom. They still had to change out of their dancing clothes, after all.
Saelhil smiled and followed along, holding her hand tightly. Once they were in their room, he reluctantly began to take off his dancing clothes for his night clothes; he wanted to rewind to the beginning of the party, so they could live it again. But it was over now, and he would just need to dwell on the intense happiness he was feeling at the moment, being there with Raeliel.
Raeliel turned her back to him, though...she was tempted to glance back a couple times. But she held the temptation at bay, even though they were married. "...it's interesting, Saelhil. I used to not mind seeing Mirathin shirtless. But whenever I see you shirtless, I get flustered, my heart starts beating fast..." She chuckled softly. "..it's interesting." She changed into her nightgown, thinking over this new discovery of hers.
Saelhil chuckled a bit at her declaration. "Very interesting," he agreed, slipping on his night shirt and pants before crawling into bed. He took a deep breath, and smiled at her.
Raeliel climbed into bed after he did, and cuddled against him. She took in a deep breath and let it out, quite happy. But then she realized what Saelhil might infer from her talking about Mirathin shirtless! She gasped softly and became flustered. "I-I mean, we never...! We never ah, well, no. I've never..." She blushed and hid her face in the pillow. "...I just saw him shirtless because he was all sweaty from practice so he'd take his shirt off a lot, that's all."
Saelhil laughed quietly, then pulled her closer to kiss her forehead. "Don't worry, I believe you." He took her chin and lifted it so she would look at him. "Stop getting so embarrassed all the time. It makes you much too adorable." He smiled at her, then chuckled again.
Raeliel smiled softly in relief when he said that he knew she hadn't done anything with him. She smiled gently at him. "..good.." She looked at him, and blushed when he spoke of her being adorable. "I can't help it! You make me feel so shy, I get so flustered." She looked into his eyes. "It's...it's ridiculous, it really is. I can't even kiss you as much as I want to." Her cheeks were flushed, even as she spoke.
Saelhil smiled at her. "I'm sorry I make you so shy. Shall I keep away from you so you can gather your thoughts?" He chuckled. "I would love for you to kiss me as much as you want to."
