Raeliel listened to him. "He may get to like the place, Saelhil. He just came here, he needs to adjust. It won't be something that happens right away." When he mentioned the legality of it, her eyes narrowed. "He kicked his own kid out and left him. As far as I'm concerned, that's legal. If that man tries to come back, he will have to go through me. The only way I'm letting him take Valenthion is if Valenthion himself wants to go. Otherwise, that disgusting man is going to be turned right around and sent back wherever he came from." She relaxed a little, letting the anger subside. "Besides, he's a human. Depending on how old he was when Valenthion is born, he'll be dying in a few years anyways."
Saelhil listened in silence, watching Raelhil thoughtfully. When she had finished, he let out a quiet breath. It was a bit much for him to take in--she found a blind half-elf boy stealing supplies just that day, and now she wanted to adopt him as a son. Saelhil was just worried; didn't he have the right to be? He could very well be thrust into fatherhood in a matter of weeks (or days, even!). He loved kids, but it suddenly made him quite nervous. How could he raise a boy who ha spent his entire life living with humans? Did he age like elves, or would his age accelerate because of his human genes? He squeezed Raeliel's hand gently. "And you're absolutely sure about this?" he asked very seriously, wanting to just make sure this wasn't a passing bout of sympathy for the boy. "If you want to adopt him, and he agrees, then I will full-heartedly do what it takes to make him a part of our village, and our family." He gently kissed the back of her hand.
Raeliel looked at him. "Saelhil, I am sure. What else would happen to him? He would be tossed around from place to place and never find anywhere that would accept him. I know it's sudden, I know it's a lot. I'm not sure I'm ready for all of this either. But at least here, with us, I know he has a chance at having a happy life. Sael, my childhood was terrible. I...I never had any friends. Never. The kids I 'played' with were ones father set up for me to be around, only those who were my status, who would play properly with me. It...it was terribly lonely. I don't want him to have to suffer that kind of loneliness." She looked at him for a few long moments. "..I think thirty-seven years is long enough to be lonely." He may have had his parents, but even then, she felt like it was probably hard for him to have any friends.
She leaned in and kissed him deeply. She knew it was crazy, but something inside her just wanted to protect him. Be there for him. "I love you, Saelhil. You're probably the only man who would accept a crazy scheme like this.." She laughed softly and smiled gently at him. "But...we'll see how he adapts first, alright? Before we even mention it to him."

Saelhil chuckled softly at her words, kissing her in return. He cupped her cheek, smiling gently at her. "Let's hope this blows over well, then, Hm? Crazy plans often don't, but I hope it does. This one is rather nice." He kissed her forehead.
Raeliel smiled softly at him, watching him. "...do you really think so? I know it's a bit much.." She tilted her head a little into his touch and closed her eyes. "I love you so much, Saelhil." She smiled as he kissed her forehead, and so she kissed him once again. "You're wonderful." She brushed her fingers through his hair, looking at him lovingly.
"It's giving a child the childhood you never got to have. I think it's a perfect idea." Saelhil smiled. "I love you, too." He returned her kiss, and breathed in deeply and closed his eyes as she ran her fingers over his short hair.
Raeliel smiled and played with his hair, watching him for a few long moments. "You are amazing...so amazing." She kissed his forehead, then pulled away fully. They were still kind of in public, technically, so they couldn't let themselves get too carried away.
Saelhil smiled broadly, settling for just kissing her hand. "Mm... Not as amazing as you." He stood carefully, and pulled Raeliel up with him.
Raeliel stood up, moving to support his weight as he needed. "Well, thank you." She chuckled a bit and smiled at him, watching him. He was so wonderful in her eyes, so handsome, so strong and loving.
Saelhil tried to support himself mostly, but he took her hand anyways. "Now what else to you have to do? I want to help."
Raeliel smiled. "I just need to make sure everyone is in here and okay." She kissed his cheek. "Then, assign a watchman, and we can relax." She couldn't wait to spend time with him.
"Let's go then." Saelhil smiled at her. "It shouldn't take too long." He squeezed her hand and started off to make the rounds.
Raeliel smiled at him and went off to check on things. It didn't take too long to get everything done, and she made her way to the private room she had. She settled down on bed, sitting with Saelhil beside her. "It's kind of hard to get all of this done...but it's rather fun, you know." She leaned in and kissed him gently. "I love you. I'm so glad that I have you. I was looking forward to seeing you again."
Saelhil kissed her in return, brushing some hair out of her face. "You don't know how lucky I feel to have you." He kissed her nose. "Just a few weeks into our marriage and we are already about to become parents... maybe. It's a funny feeling, isn't it?" He chuckled and lay back on the bed, relaxing.
Raeliel laughed a bit and fell onto her back as well. "Yeah, I feel kind of insane, but at the same time I'd never change my choice. I really want to help him and give him a good life." She looked over at him and smiled, reaching over to play with his short hair. "I'm glad you're stuck with me for a while." She chuckled.
{I'll be poofy; playing video games with some friends}
Saelhil smiled, closing his eyes. It felt good to have her play with his hair. "Me too. You'll have to help get my leg back into shape, y'know." He chuckled, wrapping an arm around her to pull her close.

(Ok!)
Raeliel smirked a little and snuggled close to him, still playing with his hair. "Oh? And how am I going to do that, Saelhil? Throw a stick and make you chase it?" She giggled and watched him lay there.

Saelhil laughed, nuzzling her. "Hm, maybe." He relaxed, letting her ran her hand over his hair.
(Won't be posting for like five hours or so. Work has to come down on internet usage and stuff to prove that we workers actually do stuff and are needed xD)
Raeliel chuckled softly. "Hmm. I guess I'd better find a stick, then." She leaned in and kissed his cheek, then just snuggled up against him. She was absolute happiest when she was by his side. "Hmm...what should we talk about, Saelhil?"

Saelhil kept his arm tightly around her, nuzzling her hair. "What will you do, if Valenthion wants to stay and be our son?" It seemed a simple question. "I mean, since he's been raised in a human culture, we'll have so much to teach him... Where will we start?"
