(Hmmmm yes stable boy! I can't quite see Sael as snooty though, so I think he might have to be the stable boy instead of Rae. But if you think you can play him that way, we can have them switched! It's an AU after all )

Raeliel's brows knit together, worry filling her. "Valenthion? Are you...okay? You..feel warm." She nodded slightly. "I'm...fine. It's okay." She smiled gently. "I'll...be fine. Did he...ever tell you about...the time that..I almost drowned? I have a bad...habit of...cheating death." She gave a soft chuckle.

"I'm usually warmer than most people," Valenthion told her quietly. He listened silently, and offered a weak smile. "You should be more careful; you keep telling me to be careful, and you keep almost killing yourself."

Raeliel smiled a little, sighing in relief. "Alright. Good...I don't want...you to be..sick." She listened as he spoke and she chuckled. "Yeah...guess so. Alright. I promise...I'll be more careful." She rubbed his hand gently. "As long...as you promise the...same thing, got it?.."

Valenthion glanced down at his hands. It had been a while since he let someone touch his hands; usually he would he tugged around by the wrists or slapped on the hands as punishment for something. Only his mother had held his hands, mostly when he was sad or sick. So he glanced up at her, nodding. "Yeah, I promise."

Raeliel smiled. "Alright. It's a deal." She took in a deep breath and let it out, wincing a bit at doing so, then yawned. "Well...guess my body...needs more rest. I'll let you boys...go take care of things...while I sleep, okay?..." She smiled a bit and patted his hand gently, then pulled away to get some rest.

Valenthion nodded silently, and Saelhil stepped forward to kiss Raeliel's forehead. "Sleep well, my love." He smiled gently at her, then led Valenthion out.

{In the PM, I didn't know if you wanted Raeliel to be a princess or not, but I just made her a noble. You can change it if you want x3}

Raeliel smiled. "Thank you. I love you." And as they left, she fell asleep. She slept for a while, just resting, rebuilding her strength. When she woke next, she wouldn't let them alert Saelhil. It was late, he would be sleeping. So she let him sleep, ate something with the help of the medic, and then went back to sleep.

And so the days passed like this. Saelhil would do the duties Raeliel once had, always coming in to check on her and eat with her, sometimes bringing Valenthion, until the three became rather close. While Raeliel was stuck in bed, Valenthion was adjusting quite well to life in an elf village, though he still acted like a human a lot of the time. Saelhil would tell Raeliel of Valenthion's progress, and fantasize with her about various things to do with starting a family with Valenthion, and adventures they could have... all in fun, of course.

Raeliel drank in his words, adored his company and loved to hear all that he told her. After weeks had passed, and battles went on, Raeliel was well enough to be up and about. She celebrated by cooking. "It's so nice to be on my feet again. I was so tired of just laying around all the time." She shook her head a bit, dishing out the food happily.

"I'm so glad to have you up and about again." Saelhil stood behind Raeliel as she cooked, hugging her waist and repeatedly kissing her cheek. Her recovery had gone wonderfully, and he was overjoyed with how much healthier she was getting by the day. In fact, he hadn't left her side since the medic said she could start walking around.

Raeliel smiled happily at his affections. "I can tell." she teased, turning her head to kiss him. She put the cooking things aside for a moment and turned around in his arms to hold him close and kiss him deeply. She was just as glad as he was that she was feeling better and could be doing things again.

{Night!}

Saelhil chuckled, gently rubbing her back as he kissed her, reaching up to intertwine his fingers in her hair. The weeks had let her hair grow a bit (of course, elves' hair grew much faster than humans'), and his own hair had gotten a bit shaggy.

Raeliel kissed him happily, feeling quite content as he played with her hair like that. She was so relieved that her hair had grown back. It was such a wonderful thing! She had come to accept herself with her short hair, though, so she was actually fine if her hair didn't grow back to the length it had been.

Saelhil pulled away after a few moments, smiling happily at her. "I love you so much," he told her, seemingly for the hundredth time that day. He was just so happy that she was better and up on her feet; he couldn't stand not making his affections known.

Raeliel laughed softly. "I know you do." She smiled at him and kissed his forehead. "Can you go check on the look-out for me, love? I want to check up on Valenthion."

"Mm!" Saelhil squeezed her hand and ran off to check on the look-out for any news.

Valenthion, in the meanwhile, was off with some other children, listening as they played some sort of game.

Raeliel found Valenthion and walked over to him, making sure she heard his steps so that he wouldn't be taken by surprise. "Hey, Valenthion." She put her hand on his shoulder and smiled. "What are you doing?" She looked at the kids, wondering if they were bothering to include him in their game.

"Hm?" Valenthion glanced up at her. "Oh. Hello." He smiled weakly. "They're playing some sort of game... Talainna tried to teach me, but I can't really understand some of it, so I'm just listening for now."

Raeliel frowned a little. After a moment though, she smiled at Valenthion. "Hm. Well, how about you and I play our own game? Do you have any games of yours that you like to play, Valenthion?" She smiled gently and waited to hear what he said.

"Games?" Valenthion shook his head slightly. "I can't really play anything anymore, since I can't see." He looked up at her. "Thank you though."
