Raeliel smiled at them. "I'm sure that will happen." She finished eating and cleaned things up, then sat down and cuddled Saelhil happily while the boys finished eating.
(I have to go soon, probably won't be able to post for the rest of the night but if I can, I'll sneak one in. No promises though >.<)

{Nooooo ;;}
Saelhil held Raeliel close, watching as a few other children came to sit down, and made conversation with Valenthion. Yes, he was being integrated quite nicely into the village.

(slipping in a quick post between dinner and work!)
Raeliel snuggled against him and smiled, watching as Valenthion talked to the kids. She was glad he was being so willingly accepted. However, she was still worried about how the adults would feel about him and treat him. They would be the ones most against his existence, especially an existence in the village.

Saelhil, too, was worried. Most of the people left in the village paid no attention to Valenthion, which was both good and bad. They didn't feel he was too much of a threat to make him not play with their children, but they weren't accepting him completely. However, so far, things seemed to be going just fine. Once they adopted him, hopefully the other villagers would see that Valenthion was just like any other child.
Raeliel was going to make sure they accepted him. When the time came, that is. "How are you doing, Saelhil? Are you alright?" (Beeeed)
"I'm doing perfectly perfect." Saelhil smiled at her, leaning over to kiss her cheek. "There hasn't been much news, so hopefully this silly war will end soon, before the captain realizes I'm healed enough to go back to battle." He chuckled slightly. He wasn't abandoning his village, he just wanted to stay with Raeliel and take care of the injured warriors and make sure everyone here was safe.

Raeliel smiled gently and listened to him. "Heh, I agree." She smiled and kissed him gently. "I hope it will all be over soon." She smiled.
Saelhil chuckled and kissed her, then nuzzled her gently. "Soon I'll send word for my father, asking about how we fare. Those humans certainly must be nearly worn out by now."
Raeliel nodded. "Yes. They better be. I don't know how much longer I can stand this war." She sighed. She didn't want to admit to Saelhil how much of a rush it had been to go against those attackers, to feel like you were making a difference, protecting someone, something, doing something special. If only she'd had a proper weapon, she might have stood a better chance.
Saelhil kissed her temple. "Perhaps I'll try to get you a sword or something... You need to be able to fight with more than a dagger in case something happens here again." He glanced at her. "Do you know how to use a sword?"
Raeliel looked at him in surprise. After nearly dying, he was willing to get her a sword? She expected him to be absolutely against any idea of her fighting! "Um...not really. I never learned, it wasn't proper." A dagger was easy enough for self-defense, but an actual sword...she'd never really used one.
"Well... Would you like to learn? I could teach you some archery, as well, if you'd like." Saelhil smiled at her. He knew she had to defend herself against whatever may come, and he was not going to let her go on with just a dagger; it wasn't good enough for keeping herself safe.
Raeliel should her head. "I think I should learn swordfighting. You're right, I need to be able to protect myself and anyone else around if something happened. A sword would be best in that kind of a situation, it's unlikely that if I had to protect myself, there would be an opportunity for archery. It would most likely be close combat."
"Then a sword it is." Saelhil nodded. He chuckled a bit. "Imagine the humans' faces if they ever come into contact with you... This beautiful elvish woman... with a sword. You were amazing with a dagger; imagine how much damage you could do with a longer blade?" He kissed her hand and got up. "I'll have to find a sword first... We don't use them too often, so we may have to have a new one made for you."
Raeliel chuckled a bit. "They won't be expecting it at all." She brushed her fingers through his hair and kissed his head, then let him leave. "That's fine. We'll work with what we have." She watched him go, then started cleaning up. She loved him so dearly.
While Saelhil was gone, a bit of a ruckus started up in one of the sitting rooms. There was rather loud yelling, and the sounds of thuds, as if people were rolling around on the floor and knocking into things. And of course, this was being caused by a small group of kids, all gathered around. Valenthion was in a fight with another boy, his staff thrown aside. Talainna and Anathiel were trying to break it up, but the two boys were relentless and ignored the girls' tugging at them.
Raeliel rushed into the room as she heard the ruckus and her eyes narrowed as she saw what was going on. "EXCUSE ME." she said in a very loud, commanding voice. But the voice wasn't all that she used. She went over and pulled the two apart, holding one with each arm as far apart as they could be. "What in the world is going on here? I am very disappointed in you two! Now tell me what happened."
The elf boy had a bloody nose, and Valenthion had a bruise forming under his eye, but they seemed fine beyond that.
"Valenthion started it!" the boy cried out quickly, shoving an accusing finger at Valenthion. The half-elf scowled.
"He called my mother a--" and here Valenthion used a few words quite unbefitting for either of the boys; it mostly pertained to his mother being immoral with someone besides another elf. The other boy turned red.
"I did not!" he objected immediately.
"Well why would I fight you for no reason?" Valenthion snapped, glaring towards the other boy's voice. The boy stuck out his tongue.
"Because you're just as stupid as those humans, that's why!"

Raeliel listened to the two boys going back and forth. When the one called Valenthion as stupid as a human, she gave his arm a firm tug and crouched down to his level, looking into his eyes. "Your mother is a guttersnipe whelp." she stated calmly. "Oh, guess I can't help saying that. I'm just as stupid as a human I suppose. Valenthion is no less elf than any of us, so if he is as stupid as a human, than we all are." She looked into the boy's eyes, speaking in a firm tone. "You don't like that I called your mother a name. He didn't like that you called his a name. Do you call Talainna's mother a name? Hm? No, I don't think you do. In this village, we do not insult our friends or their parents, because we are all family."
Well, here it came. She mentally apologized to Saelhil, standing up and putting her arms around Valenthion, pulling him gently against her. "Valenthion included, since we fully intend to adopt him into our family. Therefore, when you insult Valenthion and his birth parents, you insult the family of Saelhil." She paused a moment to let that sink in. "And I really don't think you want to do that." Another pause. "Apologize to him."

{Guttersnipe? xD}
The boy looked extremely fearful during the lecture, and Valenthion just stood in silence. However, when Raeliel pulled him close, and said they would adopt him...
"W-What?" Valenthion's eyes were wide in shock. They wanted to adopt him..? But why? The boy backed off, and murmured an apology, before running off.
