Raeliel nodded a bit. "..okay." She went along the way again, running until she really couldn't run anymore. She was hoping to see at least some distance close between them, but they didn't seem any closer than earlier. She sighed and stopped. "...I can't go on anymore. We have to take a break." She rubbed her face and sat down. "Just a short break, then we'll keep going."

Saelhil nodded, and dropped so he could sit leaning against a tree. It was rather dark now, and the moon was just a sliver. He took out the pouch that wash hooked onto his belt, and he looked over at Raeliel. "Vitaberry?" he offered, holding out a handful of plump green berries.

Raeliel took some of the berries, wary of how many he had since he had to eat too. "Thank you." She really did act rashly, with the fact that they had no food or water. They wouldn't be able to hold out like this for long. But they had to catch up. They had to. She looked up at the sky. "...we could be tucking Talainna and Valenthion into bed right now..." she whispered.

"They're perfectly safe, I'm sure of it." Saelhil ate a few vitaberries as well. True to their name, the berries were very vitalizing, and would help them keep up their strength until they could find food and get proper rest. "What matters now is finding the others and bringing them home safely." Saelhil rubbed his leg a bit, on a place where it was becoming a little sore from his constant running.

{Oh hai, is Raeliel pregnant or not? If so, they should find out soon, as it has been a few weeks now since... you know x3 Not now, but I just remembered and I wanted to know xD}

(Oh, right! Yes, yes yes. >3>)

Raeliel sighed softly, and finished her berries. "Yeah. That's what matters right now." She stood up and stretched. "...ready to keep going?" She leaned in to give him a deep kiss, hopefully one that was encouraging and energizing as well. She wanted him to be alright.

Saelhil eagerly returned her kiss, hugging her for a few moments. He nodded. "Yes. Hopefully they've already set up camp for the night, so we can catch up to them more quickly." He kissed her forehead as they parted, and decided to stay with her on the ground now; he was too tired to leaf-walk anymore and he would much rather fall on the ground from exhaustion than from a tree.

Raeliel ran along with him. She felt a bit sick, but she figured it must be from the exhaustion. There was so much going on, she was surprised she hadn't just collapsed. She wasn't raised for this lifestyle. She was raised to stay home and tend the house and family. But still she ran on, doing her best to try and catch up with the humans.

After a while, there was a bit of red light in the distance. "There. The humans' camp fire." Saelhil glanced at her, and noticed even in the dim light that she looked a bit ill, and a bit in pain. "Are you alright?"

Raeliel felt like she might collapse any second. She sat down, huffing and panting for breath. "Just...not used to it. What...what do we do now?" She looked at him. "I'm...not in any shape to...run back and send a message." But was he, either? But what would they do? "...should we follow? At a distance. Trail 'em, leave signs for the others to follow to get here quick."

Saelhil panted, crouching near her. "Yes, that sounds good." Used to this much exercise, Saelhil wasn't quite so tired as Raeliel, though he was still pretty wiped out. "Let's rest for a bit. They aren't going anywhere, so we won't lose any ground."

Raeliel nodded a little. "I...I can take first shift...if you want to sleep." She leaned back against a tree. She felt so ill, but she wouldn't tell Saelhil. He might send her back, or he might try to do everything himself, and she wasn't going to let that happen.

"Mm, I'm fine. I'll take first watch; I'll wake you up in a few hours." Saelhil gently kissed her forehead, smiling softly at her.

Raeliel smiled a little. "...alright. Thank you." She kissed his cheek after he kissed her forehead, and she laid down to rest. She really needed it. She felt terrible. She slept alright, from pure exhaustion. But when he woke her, she felt ready to throw up. She managed to conceal the feeling, though, and took her shift, letting him get rest. She just sat there, hoping nobody came because if they did her only weapon would be to vomit all over them.

Saelhil lay close by beside her, sleeping rather soundly. It wasn't long until the first rays of morning sun began to appear, and it seemed that the humans were packing up camp.

Raeliel quickly woke Saelhil as she saw signs of movement in the camp. "Sael. Sael, I think the humans are getting ready to leave." And they still hadn't laid a path for the other elves to follow.

Saelhil awoke, blinking. He glanced around, then nodded, quickly waking himself. "Come..." He stood and stretched a bit, then got out his dagger and went to a tree. He etched in a sign on the trunk, beginning their trail. "Let's get moving." He kissed her cheek, then began following the humans.

Raeliel was certainly not up to par as they ran. She felt terribly sick, and that made it incredibly hard to keep up with him. But she did her best, letting him mark their trail along the way.

Saelhil noticed her unease, and so he went at a bit of a slower pace than he would have liked. Finally, he just stopped. He grabbed her hand. "Are you okay? You look a bit ill..." He touched her cheek and forehead, feeling for a fever.

Raeliel gently pushed him away. "I'm fine. I'm just not used to this. We have to keep going, we're going to lose them!" She started running again, but she soon had to stop and turn aside to vomit. That wasn't good. "Keep going." she insisted. "I'll catch up. Just keep going! We can't lose them!"

"Raeliel!" Saelhil watched her, extremely worried. He needed to go, but he couldn't leave her when she was sick! He jerked slightly, then turned. "Drink some of the spring water; hopefully it will help. The others will be coming with more water soon." He gripped her arm reassuringly, then reluctantly left her, going quickly.
