Raeliel ate with him, staying by his side. When he asked for her to come to bed with him, he didn't need to ask twice. She walked with him to bed and tucked him in, promising she'd be right in after she made sure Talainna and Valenthion were taken care of and would get to bed in time too. Then she returned, climbed into bed and cuddled up against him.
Saelhil was dozing by the time she returned, but he awoke when she climbed in beside him. He pulled her close and gently nuzzled her, inhaling her sweet scent. After a bit, he pressed his hand softly to her stomach, spreading out his fingers, closing his eyes and sighing contently. Everything was perfect in that moment...
Raeliel blushed when he put his hand on her stomach. It was rather...surreal, the fact that they were having a child. She stayed nestled up against him, so glad to have him home, safe, alive. No more nightmares, no more long nights of tears. Now he was here. Safe. Alive. She slept more soundly than she had that entire month.
Saelhil awoke late the next morning. He didn't know whether Raeliel had gotten up already or not, but the sun was shining brightly through the window. He had been exhausted, obviously, and a full stomach and the comfort of Rae had been enough to make him sleep soundly the whole night. Now he shifted, trying to awaken his senses enough to open his eyes and try to see what time it was.
Raeliel had woken earlier, and had to go...well, throw up. She was sick for half the morning, but by the time Saelhil was awake, she was helping the others and feeling well enough to go around and do things. Breakfast was prepared and had been served to most of the warriors, and so Raeliel brought Saelhil's breakfast up to him in bed.
Saelhil saw her come in, and smelled the food. He smiled and kissed her when she approached. "You're so wonderful," he said, nuzzling her. He was just so happy to be back with her.
Raeliel smiled at him and blushed. "Thanks. But I'm just doing what any wife would do, love." She helped him eat if he needed it. "How are you feeling?" She looked over him carefully to check on him.
"Much better." Saelhil could indeed eat on his own, but he made Raeliel stay with him. Aside from his bruises and cuts, he looked much better than the day before. He was still thin, of course, but most of the cheery color had returned to his face, and his eyes sparkled with their usual pleasant gleam. "But what about you? Are you doing alright?" He reached out and squeezed her hand, smiling at her.
Raeliel sat beside him and ate, listening as he asked his question. "I'm fine, Saelhil. Don't worry. I can take care of myself." She smiled at him and squeezed his hand back. "And the other." She still couldn't quite believe that they were going to have a baby! "I'm sick a lot, but that's apparently normal and stuff. So it's fine, really." She pet his hand gently.
{Ahhh! Welcome back (for now?) <333 //clings to//
I am much too impatient for you to be gone x3 But I shall wait.
//paces hobbit hole anxiously//}
Saelhil grinned brightly, taking her hand and pressing it against his cheek, then kissed her palm. "I love you so, so much." He sighed happily. "You're just so amazing, you know that?" He couldn't stop smiling; he was just too happy to be home with Raeliel. He had just become a father, and now he would be one twice over! It was a long time away, it seemed, but he couldn't wait. His thoughts were all jumbled because he was overflowing with happiness.

(Thanks And yeah, I am slowly easing into it. But I've got a lot to do, so that's why slowly easing into it again. Thanks for being so understanding! My muse feels much better)
Raeliel blushed brightly and smiled at him. "Thank you. I love you too, Saelhil." She took his hand and held it, looking at him. "You're amazing too, you know." She leaned in and kissed his cheek. "Things will be great, Saelhil. I promise." She looked around for a moment, then hugged him close.

{It's the least I can do! RP should never be a chore... I've gone through anti-muse phases, so I know what you're talking about x3 //sends your muse a get-well card and flowers//}
Saelhil sighed, very content. After a moment of keeping her close, he gently released her and got out of bed. The simple movement made him grimace a bit, but he laughed softly. "I'm still a bit sore, I suppose... Have you heard anything of my father, love?" He reached for her hand.

(Thanks Yeah, when it was getting really hard to push out posts, I knew I had to stop lol. Thanks so much for understanding, I feel really bad because I know how much we both love our RPs. Also sorry about no posts yesterday, it was Homecoming at my college so very busy and stuff lol)
Raeliel took his hand and held it, helping him off the bed. "You need to take it easy." She sighed softly. "Last I heard he was still being worked on by the medics. They're doing everything they can to get him in a stable condition. You needn't worry about it, though. If they can bring me back from the dead, they can bring your father back from near death. Right now, you just need to focus on getting better yourself."

{No worries!
//totally wasn't having withdrawals from no RP//}
"I should go see him," Saelhil said softly. He kissed Raeliel's cheek. "The others will be asking about him... He is the chieftain, after all." He smiled at her, and began to move towards the door, more stiff than in actual pain.

Raeliel was hesitant to let him go. "Saelhil..." What if his father was really bad? It could make Saelhil's own condition worse. "I want to come." She took his hand and walked with him. "Besides, you shouldn't be walking on your own yet. You're still recovering."
Saelhil paused, then nodded. "Mm. Of course." He led her out and towards where the wounded were being held, saying hello to people as they passed. Although he was smiling, there was something in his face that showed how exhausted he was, not just physically, but emotionally. Things had happened in battle that he didn't want to experience again.
Raeliel knew he'd been through a terrible time. She followed him carefully, walking with him to where the wounded her. She knew he would be worried about his father, and she was too, but she was even more worried about him and how he was doing himself.
Saelhil asked to be taken to where his father was, and they went to a private room, away from the others. He hesitated at the door, then quietly opened it. "Father...?" he asked quietly, glancing briefly at Raeliel before focusing on his father. Thortharion was pale, and most of his skin was wrapped in bandages, hiding his wounds. The chieftain slowly opened his eyes, unable to even lift his head when they entered.
"Mm... Saelhil..." he acknowledged weakly.
His son came to stand beside the bed, offering a weak smile. "You're awake... I'm so glad." He paused. "Raeliel is here, as well. She wanted to accompany me to see you." He gently touched his father's arm. "We'll only be here a minute so we won't disturb you for too long."

Raeliel smiled softly. "...hello, Thortharion." She held Saelhil's hand and just stayed by the side, watching his father. She felt bad for him, and she felt bad for Saelhil. They had already gone through so much, and now his father was hurt like this.
Thortharion watched them for a moment. "Ah... th-...the others? Safe?" he asked, watching them both intently.
"Mm, everyone is safe and sound. You don't need to worry about it; I'll take care of everything until you're better," Saelhil promised, being as cheerful as he dared before his injured father.
The man nodded slightly, then focused on Raeliel, smiling painfully. "Your child?" he inquired further of her. Whether he meant Valenthion or her unborn child was unclear, for he made no attempt to clarify who he asked of.
