can't spell stupid without U and I.
Lol well regardless, remember at its core its still a ship story, o try to center on one ship though fleets/armadas/taskforces are throw into the fray. We all love big battles, but its about the characters too ;P
I got some characters for you!
By the way, what happened to Ascrith? Did he just... Die?

Lol it will all be sorted in my post in IW: March Unto Darkness
Yeah, I gotta post first.
Hm... I have class names for a few ships in the Terelain fleet... I'll get on with stats for 'em when it's applicable
No problem gents.
Alrighty, and we are all set.
let the game begin!
Oh and a few things, there was a seven month time jump. The HRA guys are still on Calypso, though the gunship was sent to their homeworld months ago. There is a permanent military outpost of the Coalition in system

Excellent. Enough time to re-activate the Mobile Shipyard Vessels we built during the 2,000 year Great Peace between the expulion of the Gillorians and the beginning of the Second Great War and start mashalling the Grand Fleet to a proper war-footing.
As an aside, there were originally three of these behemoth shipyard-vessels, but one go blew up during the War and we never bothered to build another, since they're incredibly costly and we never expected another war of such magnitude again.

Well because of events transpiring this, humanity itself was just in the final stages of cutting back its war machine....not anymore. And knowing they will call upon their two allies, ships will or rather I say, are being rolled out.
After the razing of Earth, never again they say. They'll be bringing forth the hammer to protect all Local Space. O.O

The Terelains will want to buy time for their industrial complex to fully convert and fo them to start rebuilding their ship numbers, since a large portion of the Grand Fleet was put in cold storage in interstellar pace after the ed of the Second Great War since there was no need of it, but they didn't want to dismantle it entirely because... well, you never know when you might need a star fleet built up over two thousand years or so of preparation for a potential war...
Because of this, the Terelains will be most willing to share ships and technologies with the Coalition Alliance to help them against the HRa as they start rolling out their own big guns.

Is a possiblity.
Though, admittedly, the Coalition has small fleet. The Allied Nations of the Terran Empire are still technically converting from their old rotating centrifuge ships, and the Ykkins, are just getting into ship design after centuries of intentional stagnation. Only the Kit'ane have a sizable fleet of their own, but they send most of their resources to the Coalition itself.
I think the total is say less than 75 ships for the Coalition. However, with everything still in place and all resources poured together. Im gonna guess they churned out quite a number of boats in the last five months and with upgrades.

Despite the fact that they've not focused all that heavily on military reseach, the Terelains have still tried to keep the inactive Grand Fleet more or less up to date, replacing antiquated systems, scrapping completely obsoleted designs and replacing them with more modern ships and the like. The fact is, though, that in their region of space the Terelains have always had the technology advantage and it is only in the past couple of centuries that the more powerful, older 'younger races' of their region have begun bridging the divide, but even then only in some areas and not others.
Most of the 'reactivation' of the ships is just minor repairs, stocking ships ith ammuntion and provisions and updating any equipment that needs it.

Interesting. At least youve a nice reserve, though aging.
We've never put our ships in storage, since they're always in use. Oh, and you will love my ships.
So that's the Emperor of the nation that regularly performs planetary destruction and extermination of civilian populaces at the slightest pretext.
...
I'm not surprised actually. Total opposite of my King... he takes the responsibility of running his nation and te thirty three thousand years of directly known heritage and another maybe ten to thirty thousand years again of indirect heritage pretty seriously.

No, its the Emperor of a nation that regularly patrols planets and whatnot. They only order Exterminatus on rare occasions.
You should be surprised, though. He takes great care and respects his people. I mean, everything he does, its for the betterment of his nation. There's no such thing as poverty, famine, or anything like that.
BTW, I'll search for Ascrith.

If he's reasonable, what're he chances of the Terelains being able to hash out some sort of cease-fire after the combined Kingdom/Coalition forces exact a little retribution fo the Hand and Calypso? It's not like they want to spend the next seven hundred to a thousand hears embroiled in a terrible interstellar war.
Also, for the purposes of this RP, I'm considering using a slightly altered form of the Terelain Star Kingdom, since in their original universe they deliberately ceded territory to the emergent younger races to allow them to grow, and eventually went into something of a decline because of this... but this was mostly to expalin why on the map the TSK was only very small when it is the oldest and most advanced extant civilisation in the setting...
How do you feel about facing the full might of a only slightly reduced Terelain Star Kingdom? Say, 20,000 star-systems and not their original 35,000?

How'd you feel about fighting an Empire that has over 100 fleets, all with their own massive flagships? How'd you feel about fighting an Empire that will not rest until you are eliminated from the galaxy? Enjoy this.
How'd you feel about fighting a naton that spent a full 2,000 years building up their immense war-fleet, refined it during a seve-century long war nd then continued to ujpgrade and refine it over the next 11,000 years of technological development?
